The music in the restaurant was loud and unappealing. To make it worse, the kitchen staff had their own music blaring and was almost as loud as the restaurant. Nothing worse than listening to two different songs at the same time. The food was pretty pathetic. Frozen mozzarella sticks and wings. We ordered the sampler and it was basically a bunch of fried cheese in different forms. All from a frozen box. The "queso " was the canned ballpark cheese sauce. Nachos were also very unimpressive. Love this hidden gem off the beaten path! Wings are fried with good hot sauce. Served with Blue Cheese or Ranch. Hot and tasty! Javelina Queso was delivered although I asked for the Nachos. I was looking for a bar with draft beer and sports on tv. This one wasn't bad. The beer couldve been a couple degrees colder but it was cold enough. I had the spicy lemon pepper wings and they were hot and crispy 4/5. As soon as I sat down I was greeted with chips and salsa. The service was average and the bartender not too attentive. Giving this a 4-star rating because I feel like it's under-rated (amongst other Pecos restaurants). My husband and I spent the night in Pecos and wee looking for a "good" place to eat. This was the 2nd choice for us, as our first choice (based on convenience only as it was located next to our hotel) was closed for the Thanksgiving holiday. We had zero expectations based on the reviews but needed to eat, so headed to the restaurant. It was a Sunday night and, to our pleasant surprise, found the place to be packed! I chose the Cajun chicken sandwich (sans pico) and my husband went with the basic burger. We were both very pleasantly surprised! Our dishes were perfectly cooked (yeah - cuz our expectation was they would be hockey pucks), the chicken/meat seemed to be fairly fresh (double yeah!) and both actually had some flavor to them. ... When you sit at the bar service is constantly below average. There are not many restaurants in Pecos so I come back occasionally but not great service. Food is good and ambiance is not bad for Pecos but service could be better. I entered recently for lunch and was the only person inside. Waiter was on her phone and there was another waiter just standing there. it took them over 15 min to ask me for my food order (and I was the only one at the restaurant). I actually had to wave to them to serve me. This was during opening shift on Friday 10/11. It took them additionally 20 min to prepare food. Mind that entire time I was alone in the restaurant the entire time. So from entering to receiving food was over 30 min If you just passing through Pecos, I would suggest other restaurants Prices are little high and if you pay with credit card they charge you extra 3%. They also typically don't have all the things from the menu so make sure you have 2-3 options in mind before ordering. read more

Our waitress was nice. Only two of them working so they looked tired. We ordered fried mushrooms, not hand battered like it says. But they weren't bad. We each ordered a burger. One of the better restaurants in Pecos for food. We've gone here a handful of times and the food is always decent. It's not terrible but it's also not knock your socks off - typical "bar" food. We've gotten a beer tower a couple times as well as draft pours but the beer is never icy cold and the Dos XX always tastes a bit off. Service is hit or miss. Usually they are decent but there's been a few times where we've had to flag down the waitress or they have a terrible attitude. The patio is nice, they always have sports on the TVs, and there's usually quite a few people dining during peak meal hours so the atmosphere is great if you're looking for a lively meal. read more

We were passing through for a night and decided to come here despite some of the negative reviews. The place was packed but we found a couple of seats at the bar right away. The guy to the right of us was eating a burger and it looked delicious. I specifically looked at it due to the reviews I had seen on here. It was not burned and he ate the whole thing, so I assume it was good. I got nachos with beef (they were out of the pork). The nachos were delicious and each chip was covered in cheese or toppings. The only thing was that I forgot to say no jalapeños, so I had to scrape them all off to the side because they were pretty hot. (I'm a wimp with spicy). But again, that was entirely my fault. I still ate the whole meal. My husband had the chicken strip platter and had no complaints about it. The beer selection was impressive. The music was a tad loud, but it's a draft house/sports bar, so I wasn't exactly expecting it to be quiet. There were lots of tv's and it's probably a good place to catch a game. The tiny egg rolls are bland and worse than what you find at a fast food place. The fried mushrooms were alright but the ranch is from a bottle and tasted terrible. In Pecos for work and this is definitely the nicest restaurant in town. Great atmosphere food was good. I got the cheesesteak with fries and my buddy got the pizza. The staff service was absolutely wonderful; the prices were very reasonable. I tried the calamari, to which, were pretty different. I'm pretty sure baby octopus is something foreign to the kitchen, because they came out like fried onion rings. Comedy aside, the main course of the Cuban burger and fries. The food was delightful to say the least. If you're staying in Pecos, this is definitely a place to visit on your day off, and/or if your favorite sports team is playing that evening. They claimed to have wine but did not know the type of wine. It was not on the menu. They didn't know the guest wifi password. Food took a long time to arrive and waitress didn't check in on us after taking our order. The chicken sandwich had a pretty small piece of chicken. My fish and chips were fine but not spectacular.
