Great food, but very poor customer service from the current manager. One employee was friendly and honored a military discount, which we appreciated. Later, when we ordered to-go, there was confusion about the discount. The manager ultimately did give the military discount, but she was rude and dismissive throughout the interaction and said, "we don't give military discounts," in a harsh tone before reversing it. She did not greet customers or create a welcoming atmosphere, which made the experience uncomfortable. This was especially disappointing because I remember the previous manager, Elsa, who was always incredibly friendly, warm, and welcoming and made every visit enjoyable. We were visiting from Dallas and had looked forward to coming back to this location. The food is still excellent, but the customer service from current management does not reflect the same standard. read more

Maybe the best Dairy Queen I've ever been to. The food was hot and fresh, the employees were nice and courteous, the restaurant was clean and welcoming. I had the steak finger basket and a side of cheese bites. It was all freshly cooked and hot. The cheese bites are great!! read more

The restaurant was very clean, and like many, in COVID-19 orientation. My colleague had a Dude meal and unsweetened tea, I had the grilled chicken sandwich with onion rings, and a Diet Coke. We didn't have to wait long for our meals. Hot and delicious as expected. We were pleased by the contemporary interior updates. Small town friendly service! When next in Pecos, I'll stop by! read more

Sadly, we felt most unwelcome in Pecos and this Dairy Queen did nothing to change that feeling. After being ignored at the BBQ joint down the street for 40 minutes, we hit the DQ for some dinner before getting back on the road. Should have been super easy, I mean it's a fast food chain. For the 4 adults & 1 child we ordered a 6-piece chicken strip basket for 2 of the adults to split, a 4-piece steak finger country basket for 1 adult, a grilled chicken sandwich w/no mayo for 1 adult and a kids meal (2 chicken strips, fries, a bottle of water and a cone. Grilled chicken sandwich came slathered in mayo (verified on receipt that it said NO MAYO ) so I took it to the counter to see about getting it remade. The sandwich was snatched away so quickly and aggressively! Woman gave me a dirty look and said she'd bring a new one out. Sure enough it was dropped on our table in a minute. No mayo-yay! But I took one bite and the chicken was so hot that I had to let it fall out of my mouth. I don't know what they did when they remade my sandwich but that little chicken breast was hot as lava. The steak fingers tasted off. My grandson chose a water bottle instead of milk for his kids' meal and instead of a water bottle they gave him a small styrofoam cup. OK, fine - we'll fill it up at the soda dispenser but guess what? There is no option for water. A customer saw me fiddling around with the machine trying to find an option for water and told me there isn't one. What in the ...... I guess in order to get the ice cream that comes with the kid's meal, you have to tear out the little coupon that is part of the bag the food comes in. Would have been nice to know that before throwing the bag in the trash. The location was dirty, smelled bad, the employees we encountered were rude and didn't possess any customer service skills and the food was terrible. Catch ya later, Pecos! read more

We've never had any bad ice cream (have never gotten food) however they are very slow and the place is typically busy every time we've gone. I've waited in the drivethru for 15+ minutes on several occasions. read more

Can't ever go wrong with a hunger buster with jalitos and a blizzard! Ice creams the best part!

This is one os the most efficiently run food service establishments in Pecos. They have a line of cars in the drive-thru, and every parking place full, but still serve everyone great food at a reasonable price. The only reason I only gave them 4 stars was because they are always packed. If I gave them 5, it might get worse. read more

Excellent service and ice cream . Will always be a favorite place to come after dinner

Bathrooms dirty and no paper towels or toilet paper. $5 for just a simple burger that wasn't very tasty. My wife liked her DQ treat and steak fingers. Not sure what kind of steak it is, more like a processed dark substance shaped and fried. Yuck. read more

Horrible food....the Berger was cold the lettuce was rotten and fries were cold and mushy, the soda was the only thing good came out of this place. Never coming back was a waist of my hard earned money. read more

No problems here. A straightforward, clean, easy access from I-20 place to get fast food and ice cream if you're traveling through West Texas. read more

Nice place to visit for fast good, but if you order an 8 piece Steak Finger combo, be prepared to request extra gravy and pay an extra $ .75 for said gravy. Other than that, I didn't mind that the Steak Finger combo comes with a small amount of fries. I also apologize for not taking a pic of the basket. read more

Dairy Queen - Receipt of $ .75 for a cup of gravy on an 8 piece Steak Finger combo. Extra gravy should be expected and included for a combo this size. - Burgers Near Me - Pecos, Texas

I have always liked Dairy Queen. This Dairy Queen was no different. My order was ready within 5 to 10 minutes (I was eating in the restaurant) and everything was hot and delicious. My card wasn't working and they typed it in for me. It was really convenient because all I had was my card. Will surely be going back. read more

You have to understand that no Yelper in their right mind would give a fast food restaurant, or a chain restaurant five stars, and I agree. Even with that agreement in place I gotta tell you this place is different. Art on the walls, bathrooms that rival the best hotels, so very clean, my golly, add the china and you might fool people into thinking this was a great restaurant! So this place gets the above and beyond award for being a five star facility. After all when my lovely wife raves about the facility I just have to do what I just did! Oh my, what have I done? read more

What's up with the ketchup, a handful doesn't mean 2. Never again. Little girl even had an attitude . Was not with my time even going to get take out if I wasn't going to be happy eating in my rv read more

Good place. It's a DQ so it's not like you're looking for fine dining. Clean, friendly staff, lots of smiles from both staff and patrons. Good experience and I can't complain. I was simply passing through on a Sunday afternoon. Oh yah. The peach - mango tea is superb. read more

Always have had a good meal here, one of the better places to eat in Pecos. The deluxe nachos are great like a big taco salad. Would have gotten 5 but coke and Dr Pepper fountain was blowing water and air. But they fixed it read more

This easily the best DQ I have been to. They work hard to be fast and still be neighborly. Yes, sometimes a server can be rude, but there is usually a reason. If they keep it up they won't last here. Management won't put up with it. Food is good quality fast food. Of course they stay extremely busy. Which is a good thing, but does occasionally cause little delays or mistakes. Yet they are always ready to care for any problems. Wish there were more stars to give. This DQ has been consistent for many years! read more

Dirty. I told the lady working the counter that there were no clean tables and she went in the back running her mouth to another employee. It's 13:30. The lunch "rush" is over. You have six people in the dining area. Clean your tables and check your attitude. read more
