We brought our large party (11) to dinner after a day in the national Parks. Luckily it was a weekday so it wasn't too busy when we went and were able to get almost right in. The ambiance was mostly casual with lots of TVs everywhere like a sports bar, but it seemed like it wanted to be fancy with the way the staff was dressed and how they presented their menus. The cost per dish was more upscale seafood. They had some props for "gram worthy" pictures. As we sat down, our waiter brought over chips and salsa for the table and said to the kids "one basket only is free". They looked at us confused because they weren't used to that being the case in Mexican restaurants we go to in Phoenix. We said it was a nice holdover until the food got there. The same thing happened with the drinks though; the kids ordered a soda and it came in cans and the waiter said "no refills". Again, not that big of a deal but they were only saying it to our kids. The people who got water though asked if the water could get refilled and the waitress said it could but didn't seem like she wanted to because only a couple refills were filled during the meal. Some of the food had quick a kick to it, so more water or something to drink would've helped. The food was kind of hit or miss; some people really liked their dishes and some were just okay with what they ordered. If we had come with just adults, maybe we would've had a different experience and ordered different things. Next time we pass through we'll try and stop in again. read more

What a great experience! It's a sports bar in west Texas and that's its strength. It caters to those of us here to work and to the locals who appreciate a great place to eat. Seated immediately even during their busiest hours, the service was also very friendly. The steak dinner was well cooked. The sides were a bit lacking, but the steak was good enough to offset that. Overall this is a go to in Pecos read more

After hearing from multiple sources I needed to try this place I took the dive and tried it. I got the Steak Arrachera tacos they were okay for street tacos and twice the price as anywhere else. Pretty dang loud music going on in there. Dr. Pepper served out of a can. Service seemed mediocre. Probably won't go back unless someone who wants to pay will take me. read more

This was average food for a premium price. $6 for a very small side salad with some strange Vinaigrette. Water is 2.50 Tea is 2.00 + .75 refills (on Tea!) You pay extra if paying with a credit card. Service was ok. Ambiance was some loud sort of odd music. We won't be back. read more

Every single time I'm in Pecos, this is the only place I look forward to eating at. The environment is nice and clean. I order the pacific sushi roll and lettuce wraps with either shrimp or fish. My favorites! The green table salsa is spicy but flavorful. The bartenders make excellent drinks! They smoke their old fashions and I can't help but always order 1-2 during my visit. If you're in from out of town and you like seafood, this is a great place to eat. Service is great as well! read more

55 for a 18 dollar at best steak meal. No honestly it was by far the most terrible steak dinner I have ever had in my life. I wouldn't feed my dog this meal. If you get the side of mash potatoes, expect the size of an infants fist as to the amount you'll be getting. I should have sent it back but had to get it a chance, just as expected TERRIBLE. The volume of the music (which I am a huge fan of music) it was too loud. Having to yell across the table to have a conversation with friends is absolute hell. read more

Never would I have thought I'd be impressed with a seafood restaurant in the wastelands West of the Pecos! But after some assurances from locals that their seafood was indeed fresh, I qavered and was glad I did. The place Is eclectic to say the least, with neon signs, rustic tables, and spirited Ranchera music more akin to a mom-and-pop cantina. I wasn't sure which way to start, but the server recommended the Aguachiles with shrimp and octopus. And, I began to undertstand how much thought went into this at first seemingly incongruous eatery. Our entrees varied from rather standard Baja Fish Tacos, to perfectly prepared Shrimp and Bacon entrees, I had the Seafood Fajitas, and loved the subtle, almost Yucatan, seasonings. This spot filled quickly and I recognized quite a few faces from almost 40 years ago. It is a gem in a very unlikely small town. I would love to give it a perfect five rating, but I was bothered by the initial awkwardness of the two hostess not being able, (or possibly unwilling) to speak English. The service staff was really on top of things, which made up for it overall. I wish them the best and hope to visit them again. read more

Expensive! But what can you expect when it's the only seafood place in town and it's far from any ocean. The bday treatment is great, makes the entire experience fun. The added salon in the back was a nice touch, great for dancing or just hanging out. The seafood tower was my fav, even though the octopus looks like brains. Overall, I have great memories from here. They accommodated my last minute reservations for 10-40 people, each and every time. read more

Visited on a Monday evening for dinner after a field visit in Mentone, it was one of the only places open! We were immediately sat and a waitress who did not speak english swapped out for a waiter who did. Bottled water, no tap! The green sauce and tortilla chips are SOOOO good, the perfect level of spice. We also ordered a guacamole, which is pretty small and mostly veggies not avocado, but still good. Everyone else got flour tacos while I got shrimp lettuce wraps, and we all really enjoyed our food! Would recommend this place! read more

We were on our way to San Antonio and stopped in to have lunch. It was delicious. I had shrimp tacos and my husband had grilled fish and shrimp -La Plancha. Both dishes were excellent. It's a little expensive but worth it. I think they serve a lot of oil field workers who are paid very well so it's probably not extrovert them. Service was good and ambiance was fun and felt like we were sitting in a bar on the coast of Mexico. read more

It was great food glad we stopped here. Great Customer Service will stop here when we are in town.

King shark is an excellent place to eat at. It feels like you're not in Pecos and the service is always great!

Food was delicious! My husband had the pork shank and I have the honey fajitas and chicken wings. Super yummy! We both enjoyed out food. Some of the best chips and salsa I have had! Service was just as good as the food! The restaurants decor is unique and vibrant! You feel like you are under the ocean. Love it. read more

Really great atmosphere for the location. Biggest issue is that I ordered a water and they brought me a bottle of water, the more expensive "smart" water type. I thought this was odd because these were more expensive. When I got my bill I was charged $4 for water. I didn't see any signs and no one mentioned or asked before bringing it. With water traditionally being free, really think they should be asking if you want a 4$ water. Margarita was out of a bottle with sprite added, but that was my fault for not asking or reading before ordering one since they didn't have liquor. Didn't have fresh salsa for the chips. Was a green creamy sauce. Overall I enjoyed the visit but just wasn't impressed with any of the food items or drinks. Will need to revisit to try something else. read more

Stopped by about 430 for a couple of drinks and an early dinner since we hadn't eaten all day. Three of us and we sat at the bar. The only margaritas they had were mango, unable to make margarita on the rocks, and the mango wasn't that great and a tad overpriced. Chips were stale and we received a blank stare from the bartender when we asked for another basket. The salsa was delicious though. The food we saw looked good but the bartender acted like we were bothering him by sitting there, maybe we would have been better received at a table? Like I said, looks good but we found another Mexican place where they acted like they were glad we came in and had delicious food, so we won't give it another shot. read more

Hadn't been in Pecos in a couple of years so this place was a pleasant surprise. Had a short wait to be seated and the place has a nice ambiance. Our waitress who was nice and courteous promptly bought us chips and salsa. Seeing as this is a seafood place and against my better judgment I order fried fish and shrimp. My co workers order birra and shrimp tacos. When my food arrives its just fish sticks and shrimp that look and taste like they were bought at Walmart. The birria and fish tacos were ok not great. Temper your expectations if you dine here. read more

Probably the best restaurant in Pecos. We have a few of these in Houston with the name Lago Mariscos. Similar concept, seafood Mexican style and sports bar. Except King Shark only serves beer and wine. Food is good. Seafood is fresh. Make sure you check your bill. Had an issue with mine. Got it corrected though. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended. Food prices matches the cost of labor in this town. read more

This was a good place to eat. Everything we had was tasty and quick to get to the table. Their green sauce to eat with their homemade chips was terrific. First of all no one here was overly nice. Kinda seems normal in this town. We were seated and some one finally came over to take our drink order. We each ordered a margarita. The table next to us was seated and waited on after us and still got their drinks before we did. When they finally came out, the margaritas were GROSS! My husband ordered the red fish which came out overly cooked and hard. My Baja shrimp tacos were really good. Sad that in this town the people that come in to spend their hard earned money get treated like trash. Trust me, we don't want to be here either but if I'm nice to you, be nice back! They won't get our money ever again. Only 2 stars because the tacos were really good. read more

Good for west Texas. The service was not the best. Took a while to get our drink and food orders. The server took about 15 min to come back and check on our drink refills. The food was ok I can't say it's the best seafood I've had. The grilled fish and shrimp was good. I had the steamed fish with vegetables it was good I wasn't a fan of the cheese on top though. It could of used some spice. The fries aren't fresh they taste frozen. The chips and sauce were good! read more

Extreme long wait for a table. We did have a big group but we're never asked to split. Once we asked we were allowed to sit after an hour and half. Once we sat the accommodated the kids which was a blessing. After that it took us another hour and quarter to get food with 2 missing entrees. The waitress just said they weren't there and nothing was done to fix the issue. They didn't seem to care much. They also didn't understand the simple concept of splitting the bill. Back and forth 2 times we finally told her to put it on 1 bill and we'd take care of it ourselves. read more
