Cute place that is off of Broadway street. It's a good stopover place. The brisket tacos were good and the enchilada was yummy. The steak wasn't a favorite, but the place is affordable with great service.

Traveling east from Arizona, our stay was in Van Horn. While we were planning to eat much sooner than Van Horn, I could not find a restaurant that was open and intrigued me, so decided to eat here (just a few minutes from our stay). We were pleasantly surprised. It was easy to get to. The food? Delish! Hubby had beef fajitas. I had the chicken fajita quesadilla. If you're in the Van Horn area, this is a "don't miss" stop.

If you're into West Texas Mexican food , this place delivers . It's hot , spicy and delicious . It's run by the grandmother , but the granddaughters are waiting the tables . I highly recommend this place !

Chips and salsa. I sat near the door and don't recommend that spot because you get wind blown when people come in.

I've been wanting to try this place since people kept raving about it, and I'm glad I was in Van Horn recently to do so. The prices are reasonable. People eating there were raving about the green Chile chicken enchiladas, which I wish I had ordered. I ordered a cheese enchilada, a beef brisket taco, and some rice and beans. Because that was lunch and dinner, I was still hungry, so I ordered a flour tortilla and pecan pie and ice cream. That finally did the trick.:) I ordered off menu and the entire meal was roughly $17 which I thought wasn't bad including a drink. I think next time though I will order the green Chile chicken enchiladas because that's what is popular. The woman who ordered it said her brother-in-law was Mexican so she had high standards. So, if she liked it...:) Overall, it was just what the dr ordered so I left satisfied.

Walked in the front door and was surprised with a very nice looking dining area. They had real dining room tables and chairs, checkerboard tile floors and a really nice lunch counter. The service was excellent and I'm glad they let me sub the fries for a small salad. I had no idea it came with rice. My son loved his nachos. The restrooms were next door in a super clean laundry mat. Only thing missing was paper towels to dry your hands. They had That 70's show on the tv and I laughed a lot. It was just a very pleasant stop for lunch on our 12 hour drive. Oh and have cash because they charge extra for credit. I'm glad I had cash.

Delicious green and red enchiladas. It's a tiny place next to a laundromat. Hole in the wall and so good.

The ambiance is more on the utilitarian side not super classy or trendy but where this place shines is in the food. We ordered the carne asada tacos and the chips and salsa. Everything was clearly homemade. The chips were fried fresh and brought to the table warm, and the salsa tasted like it had just been made. The flour tortillas were also fresh and full of flavor. It was very, very good. We popped in for a light lunch and enjoyed every bite. Authentic, satisfying, and perfectly balanced not too heavy, not too light. Just right. Fast and delicious. Bravo!

They looked really good and on the appetizer menu so I got them. Asked for the salsa flight but waiter said the prep guy did not come in that day so they had no salsa (none at all)! So o ordered the guacamole (which he competed). Also got a Jamaica juice that was so large I had to get a to go cup when we were ready to leave. The guacamole was house made but it did lack some flavor. It needed a punch of garlic and some salt. Only thing I could add was the salt from the table. Otherwise it was good and chunky. The nachos came out and they were massive. I was able to eat about 10 chips before giving up. My provider and I said we should have shared. They are loaded with meat, cheese, sour cream, guacamole, pico, and pickled red onions. I have no complaints bout the taste as it was all very flavorful and seasoned well. There are not a lot of options for food in town but I would eat here again.

The ambiance was old-fashioned (very cute), and our server has been super nice and friendly. The food, on the contrary, was a complete disappointment - spicy margaritas were just ok (not good and not bad); cilantro japalapeno soup had a good flavor but no cilantro or jalapeno was found in it, and it was not spicy at all. Carne asada was dry, overcooked and not fresh, and so was rosemary chicken dish - chicken was pan fried and a bit greasy, but at least fresh. Mashed potatoes were a couple days old and hard as a brick. Steak was overcooked, and we have returned it. The only reason I would give Reata three star is our awesome waitress - she has been the highlight of the experience.

It's for a very Texas upscale vibe tho, I liked the ambiance quite a bit! They had a lot of tables outside with heat lamps because it does get cool in the evenings, and they had regular tables and bar seating inside. We didn't have a reservation bc I wasn't sure what time we'd be arriving, but luckily they were able to seat us immediately at the bar since all the other tables were taken (wait for a table was almost an hour and a half). Our waitress (her name was Dallas) was super sweet and attentive and clearly knew the menu well. It's not a very long menu and the portion sizes were a little small for the price, hence 4/5 stars. But the flavors were excellent! My dad and I both got the risotto which had a little more to the portion, and my mom got the trout which was admittedly very small for like $35ish. But as I said, excellent flavor there! She also got a cocktail for like $16ish that they made off menu because she likes sweeter drinks and all the main menu drinks were pretty dry. I spent like $170 in total for all our food plus tax and tip I think? Objectively not terrible, but again for the price - it was a little high. Will also mention they had a single stall restroom, it was immaculate! And there was a good bit of street parking just around the corner from the place in front of a church, so even though there's no lot you can find a place to park.
