We needed an RV friendly place to get gas and some food. This was in the right place at the right time. It looked slightly abandoned on the outside but was going strong once we walked in. My husband and I ordered the enchiladas plate. We're vegetarian so we swapped the beans for meat in our enchiladas. I got red and he got green. My children each ordered the breakfast combination. They were huge! The bean enchiladas were good. The two different sauces made them taste like completely different meals. I can't say it was amazing but it was surprisingly good. I would order the enchiladas again. The rice was a little bland but once I mixed it in my leftover enchilada sauce, it was good. My kids enjoyed their pancakes, eggs, and meat. The food is delicious. My wife and I got mexican breakfast there after spending the night in El Paso on our trip from California to Central Texas. We just stopped for gas and a break from driving and stumbled upon this diamond in the rough. The women working there were very friendly and hospitable and the food was tremendous. We got the order to go and ate in the car as we had our dog with us, and it was just really a great experience and a great entre, no pun intended, into our new life in Texas. I can't remember the name of the dish that I got, but it wa like a breakfast enchilada covered in delicious sauce in melted cheese. I've been chasing that taste since our visit a few months ago. Hopefully, I will find a place in Central Texas that is as delicious, authentico and friendly as the tiger restaurant. I hope that I go there again sometime. Perhaps if we ever take a trip back to El Paso. read more

Stopped here while in the middle of a roadtrip. Looked kinda dead from the outside, but had a few customers inside. Was seated within a few minutes, but then our server didn't appear again for another 10-15 minutes. Normally I'd understand, but we were two of 5 customers in the entire restaurant. I ordered the nachos, but the nacho cheese was cold and the beef lukewarm. When I mentioned it was cold, the server shrugged her shoulders. I also ordered a baked potato and my husband ordered carne asada quesadilla. His food came out after about 20 minutes, which was about 10 minutes after mine. When the server delivered his food, only then did she let us know that they were out of baked potatoes and asked if we wanted something else. We politely declined because we were afraid we'd be waiting even longer. After finishing our food, we sat around for another 15 minutes waiting for the check before deciding to go up to the front counter and pay so we could continue our journey. read more

Walked in to use restroom asked for trash can to throw things away. Old man made his worker tell us to dig in trash to get what we threw away and had us throw it away inside. Very rude, shouldn't matter where I throw the trash, his job to take it out and clean it anyways. read more

This place had delicious food and reminded me of what my grandmother used to make. I had not had anything close to that since she passed away so I was very pleased. Food at this hole in the wall restaurant was inexpensive and service was very friendly. The asada tacos were delicious, as was the green chili burrito and giant tamales. You can even purchase unique gifts while you wait for your meal. These are not like what you would find at those roadside attractions, they are more authentic and les expensive. Possibly the worst Mexican food I've ever had. Ordered the chicken quesadilla and it tasted like the chicken had been boiled several days ago and microwaved when order. Had to throw it away untouched. My husband ordered the beef nachos and was very disappointed in the quality as well. Chips were store bought and salty and the cheese tasted artificial. I'm not sure how this place has been getting good reviews but I wouldn't eat here again even if the food was free. read more
