Restaurant, lots of parking, truck parking too!

Perfect little authentic stop! The restaurant is super cute, very festive & clean. We had a brisket burrito and a machaca burrito. Both were good and the service was excellent. We would absolutely stop again! Thanks Delfina! It was a pleasure to dine at your restaurant and your staff is doing a great job!

Surprisingly large menu with breakfast and diner. Had the tacos and burritos. Food was good and service was quick. Clean inside and colorful. Definitely a local feel right off the interstate.

Nice little place but the food is not the best! It needs sazón, flavor!!! The breakfast burritos were bland, you can't go wrong with egg/potatoes, Chicharron/beans, machaca/eggs, Chile verde/cheese. No flavor, just plain... And the order takes forever, they said because they have many orders but you have not 1 but 3 cooks in the back and should go fast! I think many people visit here because they are locals and it's the only spot considered Mexican food! But being Mexican, I can tell you it needs a lot of improvement. Season your food, I give you props on the thick tortilla de arina but everything else.. I was not happy waiting almost 30min for bland burritos

Chilaquiles were just fine - 3 stars

Well, well, well...now what was I doing out in Sierra Blanca yesterday? I definitely didn't drive 7.5 hours to make my court appearance in person for a traffic violation because the Sierra Blanca courthouse's phone and fax numbers haven't been working for months now, and I'm not interested in receiving a surprise bench warrant. No, no, nothing crazy like that. Just a normal visit to this quaint town. I grabbed some breakfast from here before leaving to go back home. The chilaquiles were just fine. This place knows who it is (i.e. the only restaurant in town) and doesn't need to try too hard, it does it all just fine. The inside definitely feels a bit grimy but what do ya expect, huh? Thanks for the decent meal, Delfina.

    Small menudo $8.99.

This was a little gem of a restaurant we found on our way into the city. The menudo was delicious and the chicken club sandwich was decent- fries were great. The service was very nice and very welcoming. Highly recommend if you're on a road trip and need to stretch your legs and want to eat authentic Mexican food.

Great hidden gem for a delicious taste of real Mexican foods!

Great hidden gem for a delicious taste of real Mexican foods! Come try it as they serve all menu items anytime of the day. Dinner for breakfast sure! Dinner wanting breakfast why?!

    Camarones a la Mexicana

Delfina's is one of the only places to eat in Sierra Blanca. The restaurant is small and decorated with painted handprints of previous patrons. The restrooms are disgusting-dirty and small. Thankfully, the rest of the establishment seems cleaner and better kept. The chips and salsa aren't too bad, but the chips are overly greasy and we were given one tiny bowl of chips and salsa for our entire group of four. It turns out that tiny bowl of chips was fine because we didn't care for them. I had the Camarones a la Mexicana. The shrimp was really tasty, but the refried beans and rice left a lot to be desired. They just weren't seasoned at all it seemed. The tortilla seemed to be homemade and was fresh, hot, and delicious. Service was almost non-existent. In fact, we were asked if we wanted refills on our water and when we said yes, the water pitcher was just sat on our table for us to refill ourselves. I think it's also important to note that all drinks other than water are bottled or canned.

Nope, not looking at Yelp for this one. In a town of a couple of gas stations with the only other dining option a Subway inside of the one we stopped at (uh, no thanks, never... ever) the evidence if was a dive diner serving Mexican was all it took to get us to stop. Tex-Mex, your standard fare with green and red sauces, a few things that don't fit like omelettes still available at lunch and the usual burrito/taco, etc. we opted for the gorditas (ground beef only) and an omelette. The gorditas were quite good though the kitchen is using pre-shredded cheese which is sort of a turnoff. The sauces appeared to be locally made and were contained on a serving island in the middle that included of all things sriracha-mayo--that staple of all Mexican diets, right? Weird. For so many options you could add to a gordita which had an above average shell, the choice of only ground beef sort of tells the additional story that it's pretty basic cooking going on. No carnitas, cabeza, tripas, etc. But good enough. Questionable cleanliness and a corner of the restaurant that looked part failed gift shop and storage for whatever is needed. But in a town with so few other choices, I'd stop here again. Not many choices on this very lonely stretch of the interstate between Van Horn and El Paso!

Salsa and chips. Not to bad tasting, but not homemade tasting.

This is my kind of place. No insult intended. It's in the middle of nowhere. It's run down. The bathroom looks like they host fights in there on the weekends. They have stuff stacked in the corner. The booths you sit in were made at least 25 years ago. You would miss this place if you blinked. But..... The food is good. I would definitely come here again if I lived around here...

The best Tex mex we had so far. Coming from Florida to California , there's more the one golden coast but only one Delphinas and her tortillas are home made and to die for

Chorizo eggs, refried beans, and a home-style tortilla to wrap it up

I think this place may be closed down. We drove by and nobody was inside. Place looked pretty dead.

The food was fantastic--the green sauce is absolutely phenomenal! We asked the waitress how the sauce was made and she confessed that the cook won't share her recipe. Heck, I wouldn't either. It tastes like somebody's family recipe that they're keeping under lock and key. Also, we noted the refried beans were very good. They tasted fresh, not like they had been sitting in a pot for days. Don't be turned off by the appearance of Van Horn. It's a hard-scrabble looking town that must have seen better days. The restaurant itself is humble, but very clean, sharing a building with a laundromat. That being said, I appreciate small, locally owned businesses as opposed to chains. Broadway Cafe appears to have a lot of business from travelers as well as locals, and does a respectable amount of carry out and drive-thru orders. When I see locals eating somewhere (and they all seem to know each other), I know I've found a gem.

Nice little cafe…read more Enroute back from Big Bend to El Paso, you will most likely pass the unassuming town of Van Horn. If you're in a mood for a bite, be confident that the food and service at Broadway Cafe is pretty darn good. It's not a big space, but the cafe next to the Laundromat is clean and simple. I ordered the combination plate that came with a side taco (ground beef), choice if enchilada, rice, refried beans, and pork green chile. It was very good Liz enjoyed her enchilada plate - the enchiladas have a cheesy hatch flavor. Noah had a kids taco plate which as almost as big as my combination plate. Noemi had a bean and cheese burrito. The service was good and friendly. If you pass through VH, then consider Broadway Cafe.
