Worst Chinese food I've ever ate in my life. Also charged me 18 dollars for one plate to go. That's outrageous.

They barely had any food. Just two buffet tables with what you would usually eat at a Chinese restaurant. Great service though. The ladies there were very nice so that's why I gave it three stars. But for that price it was not worth it read more

After visiting this place once, I can say it's more than enough. Food? 1/10. After filling up a plate of meats, rice and broccoli, the only thing edible was the rice. The only edible foods for me on the buffet were rice and potato. $18.50 for rice and potato. Save your money. read more

Don't let the exterior fool you, this place is really good. It's best to come right at dinner or lunch time for the freshest food. I'm a big fan of the jalapeño chicken, fried rice, fried noodles, and salt and pepper shrimp. read more

Passing by I 20 and stopped by Monahans for lunch. Saw the Chinese buffet for lunch. Welcoming staff, fresh home style food. Overall all their dishes are tasty and delicious. aside from Chinese good, they also have some sushi. Lots of desert choices. read more

The food is a typical buffet. No frills. But big plates so you can really load up and pig out. I ate here the other day and saw a patron must have overate and got an upset stomach and messed their under drawers. They hung them on the entrance sign as what I can only interpret as a warning of what may lie ahead. I've eaten here before and know the digestive upset that follows so I was prepared. I feel for the person that messed in their large women's plus size panties, but I bet they enjoyed their lunch. read more

Great Wall Buffet was one of three restaurants open on a Sunday in Monahans, and we were happy we chose it. The buffet had a nice variety, and the food was fresh, well prepared, and quite tasty. There was fresh fruit, steamed broccoli, and sautéed green beans for veggie lovers. They had beef, chicken, and seafood dishes, as well as soups and desserts. And service was excellent. read more

My husband and I tried this place the other day (Saturday). It was around 11:30 a.m. There were only a few people there. The steam tables were full of food and steam was coming up through the cracks, so it looked as though the food was hot and fresh. That was far from true. The food was cold, so cold that it grossed me out. I was very disappointed. I guess the cooks just toss cold food in the steam pans and expect the steam to heat it up in time for opening hours. ‍ Were they leftovers? We won't return. read more

Food is either blanned, over seasoned or just plain nasty. If I could rank this lower I would. The fired rice was sweet. How does that work? Ordered a wonton soup and egg roll to go. The cost was less than $6 and I got a large container of soup and 3 egg rolls! It smelled great in the restaurant and was quite busy! Egg rolls were piping hot and I got a bag of the crunchy noodles too! read more

Overall the food was pretty good for a Chinese buffet in Monahans, TX. The decor could use updating and they really need to replace the old and dirty flooring and booth seats (but I can't imagine how hard and expensive it must be to upkeep a restaurant). The staff is nice and like I said before, the food was good. So if you're driving through and are looking for a filling meal at a decent price, I would recommend this place. read more

Kristal Chicken is pretty good. Selection doesn't change very often (at least haven't in the 11 months we have lived in Monahans). Not too bad of a Chinese place with a good buffet and a selection of other menu items. read more

I really enjoy this restaurant on my frequent trips to El Paso. Typically I will prepare for the buffet by wearing the largest elasticized pants that I have. Being a truck driver, I sometimes get odd looks in my stretchy polyester pants but I don't care cause I'm getting my Chinese on! I love the orange chicken and the delicious fluffy rice. The broccoli beef is a close second. And the egg rolls oh so yummy. After my two hour indulgence in the Asian cuisine I will mosey on over to Howard's Drive In which is conveniently located next door and treat myself to a large swirled cone. Oh my. I like this place. It has all the old favorites(broccoli beef, chix, shrimp). Also some "homemade steak" that was cooked perfectly. The egg drop soup was yummy. It was obviously a local hangout we spoke to some of the people who were very nice. My 9 year old liked the poster with animals and their Chinese names.
