So my buddy is filming a documentary and tends to just walk around filming everything he sees. One of the gentleman come out and ask what the footage is going to be used for, and we gladly tell him just a youtube channel. All is good and we go on to order our apps & food. Normally this place isn't too shabby. The service is always kinda slow. But our waitress from this weekend was horrible. After sitting for 30 mins I caught one of the waitress's serving a table near by and asked if we could order 2 buckets, she said she wasn't our waitress, I asked if she could let our waitress know and she replied with, "her section is not my responsibility" I'm not sure if her and the other gal had some tension going on but don't let that be at the mercy of your customers. This place is a sorry excuse for a restaurant.. expect a 2 hour wait every night for you food and 30 minuets for every drink. The fajita trio was $20 and it comes with 3 small shrimp and 2 chicken fajitas and 3 beef.. rice is bland and the beer is 23% over any other restaurant.. last time I go, they put other items that weren't mine. So I'm going to give this place an updated review. I'm not sure what changed over the years since the previous good reviews, but this place did not live up to them. The beer and "cocktails" are all bottled, we asked for a margarita as featured on their menu and was offered a Cayman Jack pre-bottled margarita beverage. The "queso" is definitely just Velveeta and Rotel. Tacos were pretty good. All in all, more of a disappointment. read more

Had a hard time finding a restaurant open at 7pm on a Saturday night. It was open and crowded appeared to be local crowd mostly men after work having a beer watching the game. I will give you the bad part first, service was very SLOW, if you are in a hurry go some place else. If you want to have a few beers while watching the game and have some really good bar food this place is for you. Our party had a Cheese Burger with fries, Hamburger Steak and baked potato both very good. I took a chance and ordered the Ribeye medium rare with baked potato, steak came out covering half the plate, thick, cooked perfectly, tender. One of the best steaks I have had in a while. Nobody in our party liked the "tea" and after tasting it either opted for Coke or Diet Coke. What an amazing place!!! Good food and cold beer. Good music and a cool Outside atmosphere. Cannot complain about the delicious steaks and yummy salsa. The inviting atmosphere is made better by all the eclectic flair on the walls. I have been there several times and I cannot say I have seen the same neat stuff twice. The waitresses are quick and friendly and the owner adds her own charm as she visit with the regulars and makes her way around. You could not ask for more Texas charm then what is packed in this little gem. On the weekends is a DJ and the steady flow of music keeps the weekday blues away. Did I mention the food?? As Cuz said, we were in Pecos this past Saturday night, and there appeared to be very little open! What waS up with that, so few places open on a Saturday night? Anyway, I ordered the cheeseburger with fries, and it was excellent! The burger appeared to be hand made, was of great size, and hit the spot after driving and/or riding all day in the car. The decor was interesting, but that he place was crowded and the staff number appeared o be limited. All was great except for the service, which was slo, but my point to the owners would be to hire more people. The other problem I had was the cigarette smoke wafting in from nearby but outside. If you want a bar atmosphere this is it. Crowded, loud and the menu is pricy. Not a place to relax, dine and have a drink.

Me and my buddy went here today and ordered two separate entrees. Needless to say, we are both sick. 7hrs of sickness. The food is not even comparable to Taco Laredo in Stripes corner store. The Spanish rice was sticky and smelled like Alpo can dog food. The beans had no seasoning and tasted like canned pintos. The tacos and fajitas are definitely not a hit. The service is poor and I would highly recommend do not order anything on the Mexican side of the menu. The atmosphere is decent compared to the options Pecos has to offer. If we could give it a zero we would. My husbands company took us there for dinner. We all ordered ribeye steaks, plus apps. We arrived at 6pm apps didn't show up till 8pm and steaks weren't ready till 9pm. Worst part when the food arrived all orders were wrong and they didn't have my husbands steak ready at all. Then instead of dealing with us the waitress announced they were out of beer. We got up and left but if anything we dodged a bullet of the 8 people who stayed 3 got food poisoning.
