They have a large menu and everything I've ever had here is delicious. They serve breakfast all day and that's always nice considering breakfast is one of my favorite meals of the day. They have a nice sized parking lot. It is a little difficult getting in and out of the entrances with a wheelchair and if they ever remodel that's the first place I would start. The inside has a cozy atmosphere and has several different size tables as well as several booths to sit in. They offer several different specials thruout the day. On my visit today it was pretty packed but it didn't take long at all for our server to bring menus out and get drink orders. Once we decided what we were going to have it didn't take more than 10 minutes to have our food in front of us. Everything was fresh, hot and tasty. At my table we had a BLT, a half order of biscuits and gravy and I had one of the lunch special, a philly cheese steak sandwich and seasoned fries. My fries were crispy and delicious. The sandwich was loaded with meat and had a nice amount of peppers and onions as well as some gooey melted cheese and was on toasted/grilled bread. It was amazing and very filing. I couldn't eat it all so I'll have a nice snack for later today. Overall this place is a really nice spot to get a good meal. The servings are large. I overheard someone at a table next to me telling their server that they only ordered 2 eggs but got 3 on their plate. She told them they always do that, send out one more than what you order. Not too many places out there doing that so that's pretty cool. The reason for taking a star off is really just because of the difficulty I had getting in with my daughters wheelchair. Otherwise it would get a full 5 stars!

The tenderloin was not that great honestly. It tasted like a mix between fried fish and tenderloin. It was dry also. I think they need to change their grease. I won't make this mistake again. Sad because I've eaten here before and it was good. Don't know if they've changed their cooking ingredients to save money or what, but definitely a big bomb out today.

It had an odd taste to it. Not too spicy hot though and the baked beans were really good. Just the only complaint was the small portions. They came in a 5 ounce plastic cup for the side dishes. Great brewed iced tea. It wasn't table service except they do bring your order to you after you place your order at the counter. I'm always intrigued about what chalk art will be displayed inside and they often have window art that is on brand for their style. We have frequented this restaurant an immeasurable amount of times in my life. The service is always on point. Their pizza is fantastic, but the showstopper is their nachos. These nachos are something I think about at least once a week. They start with a bed of crispy tortilla chips and are loaded with nacho cheese, peppers, onions, and the best chili. The Gaslight has been an important part of several milestones in my life. When my husband and I got married we had our rehearsal dinner here. When our son was born it was one of the first restaurants he visited. When I was going through cancer treatment those nachos got me through a lot of long nights with blood and platelet transfusions. When I went into remission we celebrated at the Gaslight. When I turned 30 during Covid we had a small private celebration. I normally don't do that but I saw a sign advertising jalapeño cheese curds, and I just had to try them. Even though it was near closing time on a busy Saturday night the employees were smiling and friendly. The restaurant was very clean and truly every employee I saw was pleasant and helpful. The jalapeño cheese curds were excellent! They were actually spicier than I had expected. I love jalapeños but many things that are advertised as jalapeño contain just a hint of jalapeño but these were spicy and full of jalapeño. I also ordered a grilled cheese and it was very good too. I know the jalapeño cheese curds are only a limited time feature but I wish Culver's would consider adding them to the regular menu.

This time we got a late start and were hungry before we reached Louisville, so pulled off at Ferdinand and stumbled into China Garden while looking for some other place. We are always fine with Chinese for lunch. China Garden serves typical strip mall Chinese food. It is not profound but was fine for our needs. Ms T ordered Chicken with Vegetables. I ordered Szechuan Chicken, extra spicy. I would say both dishes were a little bland and needed a little work. There was not much heat or Szechuan pepper in my dish, but they provided a cup of crispy fried chile so I could add what I wanted. The vegetables in my dish were plentiful and were left nice and crispy. The servings were huge for a lunch, so we took half with us and had Chinese for dinner in our hotel. If the sauces were a little richer and more flavorful, this would be a four-star place. For our meals on this day, I will award three stars which used to be considered A-OK before the drive for ratings inflation. Don't let this dissuade you from trying it.
