We started out with Garlic Cheez Toast - lots of cheese and crispy bread. Yummy. Then we each had a 9-inch pizza. I built my own with beef, mild pepper rings, spinach and mushrooms. I love the thin crust and it was crispy all over - no soggy crust here. I really couldn't taste the spinach or the sauce but it was good. I looked at the menu later and there is a 7-inch lunch pizza which I would have liked to have since this 9-inch was too much for me. I wish the staff would have mentioned that to us. Next time! It also was really dark in the restaurant. We had a hard time reading the menu. But I'm sure we'll be back.

The pizza was very much the same and absolutely delicious. I can't wait to go back and try some more. Great job to the team at Pizza Chef of Boonville. Something has happened to this once fantastic and immensely enjoyable restaurant. I was there this…read morelast Saturday night for a Birthday dinner with friends who are all regulars . The food for almost all of us was so disappointing, considering our last experiences here ... First - the bread basket which had been a delicious mixture of homemade sourdough, cornbread and focaccia was now just plain fat tasteless yeast rolls (mixed in was two with possibly an onion and seed sprinkles) No notification of the change was mentioned on the menu and for $8 dollars it was rather ridiculous. I was feeling like something light , so I ordered one of my favorites, The Black and Blue Salad . So disappointed ‼Yes , the romaine lettuce was crispy and fresh and for a steakhouse restaurant, the sirloin was cooked beautifully... but ,one single strawberry sliced and the usual " chunks" blue cheese this time were almost microscopic,as were the walnuts and unbelievably the croutons too ! I had asked for none of Dijon dressing, instead their delicious balsamic on the side . Nope, as par for the course that evening- there was the Dijon dressing drizzled all over the salad. I ate the salad disappointed but still enjoying the good company and the lovely ambiance . In fairness, two of my friends ordered the Stroganoff over papparadeli noodles that looked and tasted delicious they said and the friend that had a fillet with mushrooms and broccolini loved every bite . Unfortunately, the birthday woman ordered the salmon that ended up over cooked on some type of odd flat surface that left two very strange dents . Served along side was finely shredded zucchini (and another type of squash )presented in threads rolled beautifully but with no seasoning or even a type of butter sauce to mellow the sharpness of the squash. And it arrived cold on the plate next to the salmon . Her side consisted of a plain baked potato that teetered on the verge of hard and undercooked. The wine and wonderfully prepared cocktails helped save the evening but I was left with the question of what was happening and why ...?
