Everything I tried has been EXTREMELY flavorful. Birria taco's are off the chart !! Jalepeno Margarita is just like the ones in Texas ! Maybe a little better !!Oscar and Martin are great managers. , they care and are very grateful . Probably the best Salvadoran style food anywhere !! Lots of daily specials.

Excellent papusas and street tacos. Great salsa. Fajitas may be the best I've ever had. Good service. I always leave happy and full.

We pulled in on a Sunday evening around 6:00 and the parking lot was packed, always a good sign. The vibe of this place is incredible. Rather than fill the dining room with all the Mexican tropes most do, here the owner leaned into a party vibe. Bright and bold pop art portraits of pop music stars, Mexican wrestling mask art, and a pop music soundtrack from 70s-90s. The menu is also different. Of course there are some of the traditional dishes you would expect, but the menu also pops with some great twists and unexpected combinations of flavors. In fact we loved our meal so much, we left the Holiday World theme park early so we could eat there again before heading home. They were even busier on a Monday night! We recommend the Foxxy Chopped Salad, the Ponata salad, the Chicken Mole (yummm) and the Steak Bowl. We didn't see a single thing come out of the kitchen we wouldn't have eaten. The staff could not have been friendlier. The owner was working the bar the first night we were there and came over to talk to us. He really want everyone to have a great time when in his restaurant. If you happen to find yourself in Jasper, check them out.

Meal service requires you to order at the counter, then your food is brought out to you at a nearby table of your choice. This is a no-frills dining experience, but do not let that fool you...the food is top notch! I ordered a small variety of items to sample...a marinated pork taco, loaded steak fries and for dessert a flan. After a bit of a wait (they make everything to order), it all showed up at our table. The pork taco was dripping with charred pork flavor and came with grilled onions on the side. The double corn tortilla kept everything together as I dug in bite after bite. When the loaded steak fries showed up, my jaw dropped to the ground! This thing was big enough for 3-4 people to share...whoopsy! The crispy fries came layered with strips of grilled steak, a white cheese sauce, guacamole and a sour cream drizzle. Damn these things were good! And if that wasn't enough, I also ordered dessert because I am a sucker for flan (I grew up in Miami and have eaten probably one million flans). Honestly, was not a fan of their version's texture (too grainy, not creamy) and their sauce was not as sweet as many others I've had...but glad to have tried it. For being a small-town Indiana spot, I'd go back here no questions asked. There is an extensive menu for trying new stuff and I'd love to get that chance someday!

Excellent food and service both evenings we ate at Los Bravos…read more I'm always extremely skeptical of one star reviews. Some folks seem to think they can bully a free meal from restaurants with bad Yelp reviews. Others have never left a five star review, ever. The Monday and Tuesday nights we were at Los Bravos the restaurant was full of local families, something you won't see at a place that doesn't offer good food at a good value. Dinner for two was $30 and $40 plus tip, not including a cold Corona on a Hot!! southern Indiana summer day. Overall, as good a meal and dining experience as I've had in "white table cloth" Mexican restaurants at 2-3x $$ in much larger midwestern cities.

The salsa was tasty perfect, the blueberry margarita excellent, and the food great. But on June 12, 2026 it was the opposite. It wasn't authentic Mexican at all, but instead tasted Tex Mex or German Mex, with no accent on flavor for the tongue, and instead just salt and pepper, with the most coarse pepper you could get, the sort that has no flavor on the palate, but scorches the throat. Those of us who were brought up on this "hot but not spicy German style food" have our throats destroyed and we have acid reflux of the esophagus. My tonsils were removed before I started school. The drinks were okay, and the rice was pretty good, but the only spices were salt and pepper. So, it may depend on who the cook is. I didn't feel comfortable there.

There are lots of items on display almost like a small museum. Don't forget the gift shop. I was thrilled. Obviously popular, the clientele was experienced, but diverse. While I did not hear German discussion, I might have. Next to the restaurant is a building that is their catering. It was as big as the restaurant. Walking in, the sign said to seat yourself. Sometimes that means a delay in a server finding you. Nay, nay. She was prompt, attentive and knowledgeable. She was great. Because I scanned the menu ahead of time, I knew that I wanted the trio of wursts. They were among the best I've had. My server talked me into the potato salad. It was great. Along with the wursts, I ordered a salad and completely enjoyed their house made blue cheese dressing. The beer menu had Spaten Special. Spaten is a rare treat for and this is the first time I have even enjoyed it on tap. When I was leaving, I was able to buy a six pack of harder to find German beers. My adult son loves German beer and did not even recognize one I brought that he loved. Restraining myself, I made only modest purchases in the gift shop. This will not be true next visit. As far as the museum aspect, there are many displays. Down one wall are many car models, train models, liquor decanters and numerous other German items. I sneaked into a closed dining room with great displays of stein and wine history. A few times a year, I head from TN to IN. I will make this a two day stop. Oh, did I mention there is a hotel right next door to keep my safe from driving after enjoying a few great beers on tap?

Atmosphere is fun, it really embraces the German decor (saw a review or too calling it kitschy, in a good way, which I think is a fair description). Service is friendly and attentive (and in the costumed German garb to keep with the themes). Lots of classic German dishes (several schnitzel varieties, brats, spatzel, etc.). I won't say anything I've had over the years blows me away, but haven't had a bad choice either. The Wiener schnitzel I had most recently was tender and tasty, with a perfectly fried batter, and the German fries were nicely crisped on the exterior and beautifully seasoned. Good beer selection (including some brewed for the restaurant), reasonable wine list...love that you can go all out and have your beer in the classic giant boot! Small gift shop as well, some souvenir items as well as some candies and food options.
