Phoned the Aiken store to make a complaint and the night manager was rude. She kept hanging up on me. Refused to give me the name of the owner. She was obnoxious and belligerent. She refused to give me her name when asked. I would not recommend visiting or spending money there if this is how they act over the phone. As far as wing prices, Tuesday night special you can't go wrong. I don't like the hormones in chicken and with the size of these, well it's obvious they're not natural. I had the BLT and fries. Fries are pretty good and the sandwich delicious. My date got the wings, and devoured them. I always get here when they close the back seating section and refuse to let people sit in it, which I find annoying. So they crowd everyone together and sometimes the conversation is a dull roar. Was there at 7pm with large group. They were out of burgers?? But, that's ok, plenty other items to pick. One guest asked for more sauce as his wings were dry. He was charged for extra sauce! This guest posted a review while we were there and owners come out to speak to us. The guest stated he posted the review and the owners, in my opinion, were argumentative and very unprofessional. The guest told him to leave as its rude to talk to him in this manner in front of the others guests. Just for this reason, I'll never go back! Not the best experience. Will not be making a return visit or recommending it. We felt like our time or money wasn't worth. Lately, this place has been going down hill rapidly when it comes to the quality of their food. New management perhaps? I used to enjoy this wing joint and have ordered from them on several occasions. The last time I ordered delivery from this restaurant, I ordered what had been one of my favorites, the Garlic Parmesan wings. Originally, they used 'fresh' cheese to cover the wings, but the this time, it was dry grated cheese from a shaker or at least that same standard. Yes, there is a big taste and texture difference when you use one versus the other. Also, the bacon cheese fries I ordered were horrible. Imagine a huge, cold, soggy, limp, pile of fries, smothered in what may have been Velveeta cheese (also cold), then topped with a dusting of what was most likely artificial bacon, or cheap salad topping bacon. 95% of it went straight into the garbage. One other gig I would like to mention is that when you normally order wings on their website, you can specify certain extra things, like if you want all drums, or crispy, or extra crispy, extra sauce, whatever you want, and they would customize the order for you based on your selections. Well, this last experience ignored those requests all together. I got my 'food' but not to the specifications I asked for. The wings had an 'off' taste as well. Definitely not fresh. Sadly, the fried pickles were the best part of the meal. They weren't crispy either but at least they were somewhat warm. This order cost me well over $50 and I instantly regretted it. Unless they do a complete 180 when it comes to the quality of their food, you can soon add this restaurant to the long list that have failed in Anchorage. read more

Last night me and a large group of my coworkers had a group party and as soon as we sat down we were told sorry were out of burgers, hilarious since it was only 7pm. We had to ask the waitress to take our order for beers and food as well later since she didn't grasp that it was her job to approach us and take our orders. One of my friends had a issue with his food and the manager and his wife (who came over ready to fight) and were unprofessional and got confrontational with my friend in front of the whole group, as the manager went to walk away his wife stayed ready to throw it down and the manager had to come back and tell his wife let's go. Oh and when my friend told the Manager he wrote a review on yelp the Manager got weird about and basically told him he shouldn't have written that review on yelp cause people read those reviews. Before we left my friend wanted to talk to the manager one last time and so I went with him. When we got to the bar where the manager and his wife were his crazy confrontational wife started cussing and got more confrontational and seemed like she had been drinking. Oh and then some waitress buts into our conversation with the manger and his wife and the waitress said we were drunk which was not true. Me and my friends have come to the wing place a lot over the years and last was our last night ever coming here. The manger and his wife are unprofessional and so is his staff. You might want to train your staff and fire the wife. read more

I called to place an order this evening and had to wait forever before I could order. I was going to place an order which would have been well over 100.00. As I was ordering, I realized that I was being charged for everything that I named, even what would be considered a garnish, such as celery or carrots, was an extra charge. To top it off, each sauce requested, plus the one to go with the order was a separate charge. The manager who was taking the order was unpleasant, rude, and incorrigible. May I suggest professional development classes in customer service for the employees and a resounding reprimand for the manager on duty. Wings are good, service was good my biggest problem here was in a whole empty restaurant they sit everyone on top of each other. Which would be okay and I understand why they do it. BUT if you are going to do this don't have such cheap broken booths. This it is such an annoyance when your trying to eat and the people behind you keep slamming the back of the booth into your back. When I complained to the manager all she could do was try to explain why they seat people they way they do, I don't care for the reasons why i want to sit and enjoy my meal and my family. Then she said I should have brought it to her attention earlier and she would have moved us. I was in the middle of eating with family and did not feel our meal should have been interrupted and our whole table moved. they need to have better seating arrangements or just let people sit where they want it's a wing place not some upscale restaurant. read more

In town for the first time for a week and was looking for some wings. Saw this place and thought I'd give it a try. Got here about 6:00 so it wasn't busy. While the server did get our drinks fairly quickly, it was at least 10 minutes before she came back to take our order. Meanwhile, she made sure she got the checks to an adjacent table and then bussed it before making it back. They had a Tuesday night special of 12 wings and fries for $9. Had an up charge of $.50 for two flavors, which I was okay with, but she neglected to tell us about the $.75 charge for some extra sauce to dip our fries in. The fries were pretty limp and half the wings were over cooked, but the sauces were okay. We were less than impressed. read more

Well...20 minutes later I showed up and the young lady at the desk asked me 3 times if I had placed an order, while waiting on another customer. I said yes, she acted surprised. I have been to Wing Place several times. The service is so-so but the food is always amazing. Last night, I wanted ordered wings for dinner so that I could pick them up and be home in time to watch the football game. I have worked in restaurants more than half my life, so I know how things work. I also knew they were going to be busy so I called in my order at 6:50 to be picked up at 7:45. I arrived at 8:00 and I expected my food to be waiting on me and somewhat cold since it was my fault for being late. When I got there, the hostess told me they were working on it now and it would be a couple more minutes. Ten minutes goes by and still no food. I asked the girl how much longer it was going to be and she just said they are working as fast as they can. I get that, but I called in my order over an hour ago at this point. Twenty minutes goes by and the "manager", I guess she was, threw her hand in my face and said I'm going to get yours now. Finally thirty minutes later I received my food. Thank you to the hostess for apologizing. The "manager" did not bother saying anything. I wasn't looking for anything in return and it's a bummer cause I love their food, but it will be a while before I go back. read more
