It was a busy night for dining out. Veterans Day usually is quite busy. The parking lot was full and most tables were filled. We arrived between 430 and 5. We were seat quickly. Unfortunately they only serve Pepsi products and the only diet they have is cola. That made the drink choice easy. We had water. Even though they were busy, it was not terribly noisy. The broccoli had a little too much pepper but it was still good. The mashed potatoes were made from red skin potatoes and had chunks in them. I like it when I get to chew my mashed potatoes. The only drawback to the 6oz steak is you can not order it the way you want it. The server said they try to make it medium, but you have to take it the way you get it. I prefer medium rare. Service was good and the manager made a point of talking to all of the tables. read more

While away for work after hurricane Helene this year, I went to the one next door to my hotel in S. Carolina, but didn't go back because my steak was overcooked and even though the refire was fine, it wasn't one of the better visits. The restaurant being a chain is like all the others so nothing really exciting ambiance-wise, and I sat at a booth people watching while waiting for my dinner. I still feel like a wondrous rarity when going out to eat alone: it's like nobody's seen others ( especially women) dining solo. Besides the looks from people not eating alone, not much else was going on; service was fine at the start but then my server/helper/ waitress vanished and waited a while to get her attention back. Nothing terribly bad but also nothing special to say about this visit. read more

Upon arriving we were seated fairly quickly, but after our drink order was taken we were left to sit for about 30 some minuets before we were looked at again. We finally got our food order in and of course it didn't come out correctly. Whatever you do don't get the wings unless you enjoy checking on garlic parmesan rocks. Right when we were about to give up and go elsewhere, Derrick (also known as Travis) stepped in a practically made our experience. Huge props to him as he had an entire different section to care for and still came and worked with our entire section. The main course came out shorty after and was very nice. They had all the current football games going so at least you had good entertainment while you waited. Shark Bowls are literally my favorite thing in the whole world. Such a lovely & refreshing drink with a little twang (Captain Morgan spiced rum) DELICIOUS! To make our visit excel, we had a wonderful server. Candice C was lively, outgoing, and had the best personality! I think I made her a little nervous though when she overheard me say I was writing a review about this place! I'm sorry!. We were seated for probably like 30 second and she came to greet us and introduced herself and apologized for the wait, even though there wasn't one, no worries, she was still great. Attentive, outgoing, positive. She made the dining experience wonderful. The food was good too, I didn't take pictures of the food this time, shame on me, but I ordered the burger with no Mayo & no pickles and it came out perfectly and was tender & juicy and now I have a full & satisfied tummy! But I had a giftcard, and happened to be visiting with family I don't get to see very often, so I took advantage of the opportunity. Our experience here was nothing short of 5 stars. Kanisha took great care of us! She took our orders, and didn't write a single thing down; yet remembered the entire order to a T! Even my fufu drink order, haha. The entree that I actually got was really good but the service was horrible. My friends and I decided to sit at the bar and it took the bartender more than 10 minutes to acknowledge us, another ten minutes to even ask what we wanted to drink, then took forever to take our order. The bartender was not busy from what we could tell. She just had an attitude the whole time we were there. She acted as if she hated her job. It was like pulling teeth to try to get her to do something. I would give one star but I can say the southwest chicken bowl was good that I had. read more

First and foremost our server Ivy was fried out of her mind. Every word I said was received with the thousand yard stare. The bar tender openly admitted to a table that she was doped up on meds. I received my drink 3/4 of the way filled, no straw. My friend never even got his drink. Table behind us complained that the water tasted dirty. Didn't get silverware until an hour and 15 minutes into our wait. Notice I didn't say our meal, because we didn't receive our two burgers until about an hour and thirty minutes sitting there. There were only three groups in the building btw. Friend asked for his drink about four times. The other employees had to keep yelling for Ivy to tend to her tables. The woman behind us literally started crying because her meal was so upsetting. Burger came out soggy and fell apart. The chicken didn't even look real. Waited a hour for food that was ice cold and then another hour for our checks and the checks were messed up, so then had to wait longer and didn't end up leaving until 12am. The salmon was so bad i took it home and fed it to my cats. i paid $60 for food that tasted like tire rubber i would have rather went to mcdonald's. and no they were not even busy. Bought holiday gift cards specifically to get bonus cards. I bought $100 so received $20 in bonus. Went to use and was told they had expired the week prior. WHAT????!!!!! I have never had Gift cards expire. Supposedly nothing could be done. We were not made aware of an expiration date of 6 weeks after cards were purchased. You've got to be kidding????? My family of 5 took a trip to the Applebee's in Aiken South Carolina. It was hands down the WORSE experience I've ever had at a restaurant. My wife had to ask about her mixed drink THREE different times only to get it once we were all done eating. We asked for an appetizer that we NEVER got. Then once the bill came, the appetizer was still on it. They expected us to pay for an appetizer that we never received. But before then we asked for a maple butter blondie TO GO, but of course they brought it to us as if we were going to eat it there. AND IT WAS ICE COLD! Not joking. Actually freezing cold. But when they thought we was going to eat it here, it was hot. When I told the manager (Jackie) about it she claimed that's how they serve it when its TO GO......bullshit. They just didn't want to take the time to make another. We asked to see a manager THREE times! And I only caught the manager once I was going back in to tell them my dessert (that should be hot) was ice cold. The reason the servers gave us for a manager not coming out while we were eating was because she was in the kitchen cooking. If there's a customer having complaints and concerns and asking for a manager, why would you not handle it as a manager? It would've taken 5mins at the most. The manager had the nerve to catch an attitude with me after I finally confronted her about everything all because I put "HELL NO" in the part where it says "tip" on the bill. Which was VERY well deserved. Alot could've been avoided had she came to see us the prior 3 times she was requested. I never yelled or caught an attitude with the server. Simply just kept requesting to see the manager. At the end of the day I'm sure Manager Jackie takes no responsibility for what happened at all. Horrible service from moment set foot in facility. Host? Long hair and jeans(no uniform) had to wash table with spray bottle and paper towels as no staff to clear/clean. Ordered food. Got food....no silverware or plates to eat off. Asked waitress for both. Got silverware after she cashed out another table and cleaned an additional table...no plate. Ate appetizers off plate that sugar and cream for coffee had been on. Food was ok but never saw the waitress during visit so coffee cup was empty. Asked for manager and mgr said she could have helped earlier if she had known. I said that the service should have been a given and not need manager involvement to get it. I honestly hate doing this, but genuinely if you have celiac, Crohn s disease or any type of intestinal issues due to sensitivities, intolerances, or allergies I suggest to stay far far away! I ordered a salad. Simple. Leave off the Parmesan & chicken. Waitress couldn't seem to comprehend this.It's a salad rated as gluten free. Another staff member arrived with a sheets of paper. At this point I'm embarrassed & people are looking & making snarky comments. Yes, ok I'm one of those "pains in the ass" that can't eat dairy, I chose to go vegan because of all my food issues. So I say, I'm vegan & gluten free. The salad arrived with croutons in it! I pick around at the salad. After all that I should have sent it back. I think its just simple inexpensive good food. I have enjoyed many dishes, one of my favorites is the pork chop. The Chutney is excellent. Also the Chicken Wings are good with the Asian Chili sauce. My boyfriend and I visit usually once a week and we normally have Sam as our server and get great service, we love her. The last 3 times we have gone she has not been there and we've had a different server each time and the service has been horrible. This past time we sat and waited 15 min before our server even came to the table and took our drink order. Waited another 20 min for drinks, and when we ordered refills those too took forever. When we let our server know we placed orders for refills from the little table kiosk she told us the bar was backed up, but our drinks were sitting at the bar and had been for at least 10 min. Food took 30 min to come out and when it did my boyfriend's fries weren't even hot. It's such a shame because we love the food but the service is just lousy. read more

This was the worst Applebee's I have ever been to!!!! The service was slower than molasses because of the bartender/waitress was having to cover too many tables. When I received my riblets they were cold from not being cooked/heated properly. There was condensation dripping from all the ceiling a/c vents, which had caused severe mold on the ceiling tile above us at the end of the bar. DHEC has been notified of this health hazard. We WILL NOT return to this establishment and will warn everyone we know!!!!!!!!!! read more

I went in on my lunch break with my friends on Saturday and Kay took amazing care of us. She even repeated the order to us. Our drinks stayed full, She was super nice, and I'll be back just to see her. I absolutely recommend her as a server. I've been to many Applebees, but I was very unimpressed with this one other than the kindness of my server. I came in for a late dinner, but to be greeted by a hostess that was uninviting and rude. She seemed like she didn't want to be there and it seemed like we were a burden for her. After 10 minutes of waiting to be seated, my friend and I sat ourselves in the bar, Our server was super nice, he bought my drink for being a service member. Other than that the service was slow.
