This is my wing "go to" spot! The prices are fair, drinks pretty good and the atmosphere is cool. My only gripes are the fact that it's hit or miss with which type of service you'll receive. Some staff are consistently friendly, helpful and accommodating. Then there's the few that don't have a hospitable bone in their body. My second issue is with the cheap condiments. How can this spot serve some of the best, made to order wings in the area but serve them with some cheap low grade salad dressings. When we said we had asked for seasoned fries she again said she didn't hear us and then came back and said they were out of stock and just put old bay on top of our fries. My husbands friend ordered a strawberry mojito and got a regular mojito instead, he still drank it but later on we ordered 4 strawberry mojitos but they were again "out of stock". Service is impeccable, we were greeted and seated immediately even during the happy hour rush on a Friday night. Menu is expansive but we came here for one thing and one thing only--wings. Prices are unbeatable for the value! The wings are so meaty!!! Well seasoned and the portions are just right. The server graciously forewarned us to get a medium side of fries instead of a large because you literally get a PLATE FULL of fries! The pictures couldn't do it justice. Food came out quickly and I never once felt like there was something missing from my experience. Even the moist hand towelettes are huge which is a plus in my book. There's a cool arcade area in the back and another bar area upstairs. Lemmon Pepper Wings: When I go to a place and order Lemon Pepper wings, I usually get wings with only a pinch of seasoning on them. Not Wingo's. The wings are seasoned WELL with a "punch you in the face with lemon pepper" kind of generosity. Greatly appreciated and great job. Hot: I like spicy food. This "Hot" sauce was perfect if you like hot, but still want to chow down. It's not the kind of hot sauce that you "savor" - having to take breaks between eating wings. Tasty and I enjoyed it. I was craving some wings so I tried out Wingo's...I was quite disappointed. First off, the service was a little off? The hostess was also our server but for some reason she looked really uncomfortable and it wasn't the most welcoming entrance...I don't know if she had a really bad day or something but she just looked like she was in pain. My friend and I figured out what we wanted very quickly but we had to wait a while for someone to come by and take our order. We practically just stared at the hostess till she came over and took our order. We got the 20 wings and asked if we could have 4 sauces (10 wings per sauce) but she said no...so we just opted for 2 sauces- Mombo and Hot Garlic. We also ordered fries on the side. Food-wise, I would say the fries were the best part. They were perfectly crispy and delicious. The wings were a bit disappointing. They were small and the sauces tasted average. I was super excited to try the Mombo sauce because I heard that this was a native DC sauce. Despite ranking high on the "spicy" level, it tasted like a sweet thai chili from a chain wing restaurant. I also don't think this was the same Mombo sauce that every DC person raves about. The Hot Garlic sauce tasted just like a average buffalo sauce with sprinkled garlic powder on top. There was also a bottle of that same buffalo sauce on the table... Our bill came out to ~$14 per person but I'm not sure if the price justified the quality. Went during happy hour on two separate occasions and both times I left happy and full. I tried both the bone in and boneless suicide wings. The boneless were amazing and the flavor to heat ratio was excellent. The bone ins however tasted a bit more spicy but was still enjoyable. The mozzarella sticks were spot on. Crispy on the outside and the cheese was great too. The fries were fantastic. Not a single soggy one, all crispy! The potato skins were good but had a old taste to them. The mojito was pulpy and while it was refreshing wasn't the best. The service here is a bit chaotic cause you never know which server to ask but somehow you still get what you need. read more

If you order a large fry, be prepared to receive a mini platter (so many fries... yassss)! Also, they have a great loyalty rewards program; I have been able apply the rewards to future orders and have saved anywhere between $2-$10 off my order. They've got me hooked! P.S. 5 stars for a wonderful upgrade on a Georgetown wings tradition. One of the great parts about moving to Georgetown was being able to order wings for delivery from the Wingo's on O Street. When my wife and I heard that the store had burned down a few months ago, we were desperate to hear when it would reopen. While we are still waiting for the O Street location to rebuild, we heard that Wingo's was ready to open another location just up the street in Grover Park, so we decided to go check it out and see if it could live up to the Wingo's name. We arrived at the venue, which is located on Wisconsin in the aforementioned Grover Park next to the CVS, this past Saturday to grab a quick bite. While we had originally planned to just get the wings to go, we walked inside and found an awesome sports bar! The venue is large, clean and stacked with rows and rows of alcohol and televisions, as well as a second floor area for special events. Since the location is so new, the venue had a ton of wait staff running around ready to help and chat about the new location. We sat down at the bar and looked over the food and beer menus. It was Happy Hour when we arrived, which meant 2 dollars off all draft beer (which reduced it from a reasonable $7 down to a great $5). While it would have been easy for Wingo's to go with 4 or 5 standard beers, this venue has something like 10-15 different drafts, including some excellent seasonal options. These great beer options combined with the full bar and tvs has made this our new go-to casual sports bar in the Georgetown area. After ordering an Oktoberfest beer, we put in an order for some wings. I'm a big fan of the Golden BBQ wings (although they went a tad heavy on the mustard in the sauce mixture this time) while my wife loves the spicy wings. Our wings came out in about 10 minutes and tasted hot and fresh. While the smallest option is a little more expensive than the former Wingo's smallest option, said option also came with something like 12 wings, so we definitely got our money's worth. Overall, the new Grover Park/North Georgetown Wingo's took an excellent product and built a fantastic sports bar around it. The awesome atmosphere combines with the solid wings to make for a Buffalo Wild Wings-level experience with the hometown Wingo's quality. read more

Five stars for the best new sports bar in the Georgetown area! This Wingo's is awesome. It's owned by the same group that ran the delivery/pick-up only location on O Street. The quality of the wings is as high as ever but now you have the option of an amazing sit-down experience! This area really needed a nice sports bar with great wings. With a large bar, solid drink options and tons of televisions, I've found my football hangout. The interior feature tall ceilings and a fun and modern interior. I had the boneless wings and a side of baby carrots (a newer addition to the menu!). I really loved my wings and the nuclear sauce was spicy and fun. I also feel like they've upgraded their ranch and Bleu cheese dressing. As far as drinks, there's a full bar and a fairly decent draft beer selection. Happy hour is 4-7 every day and there are different specials throughout the week. I had an Oktoberfest beer and was happy with my selection. With a name like Wingos, you would think wings were the thing. Unfortunately not the case. Got mini corn dogs, 4 different orders of 10 wings (different flavors), and cheesesteak poppers. Sadly, the mini corn dogs were the star. Lemon pepper, bite me, med (buffalo) and teriyaki were the wings. Bite me was decent, but expected hotter. Med were just terrible, and actually needed to make my own sauce to make them edible. Teriyaki were decent, when you dug to the bottom to dip them in sauce again. And lemon pepper were actually the best. ALL skin was soggy, and had the consistency of wet cardboard. Unfortunately this is the 2nd time I have ordered. And the 2nd time I have been disappointed. I dont think we will ever be ordering from here again. And if we do it will be plain wings, no sauce, and ill make my own sauces, as majority of the ones I have tried from here are lackluster at best. Anyways, I always go and get the lemon pepper bone in wings. I just love love LOVE how zesty, tangy, juicy, and delicious they are. The wings are never small and skimpy but always meaty and tender. They also never leave you without enough sauce on the side. I really enjoy the mambo wings as well! The jalapeño poppers were very tasty as well. Just the right amount of kick and creamy goodness. I would say the lack of menu choices is a con to a restaurant, however coming here for anything other than the wings seems WRONG! Happy hour on a Saturday is difficult to find in DC so think place is on the right track. Only issue is the happy hour listed is not what's offered.... not sure why? We went with what was on special .... the lime margaritas for 4 bucks. ( not bad) I wish they had wing specials during happy hour! After multiple drinks, we decided to order a round of wings and dogs. The wings came out very greasy and not crispy at all. I asked for them to be fried hard. I ordered lemon pepper and Overall flavor was good. They have a good variety of hot dog options....very creative in the presentation of the dogs! This is my go-to place for wings. I have been ordering wings from Wingo's since the beginning of freshmen year of college! That's two years now! Must try the garlic Parmesan wings. They are amazing. I love how much you can customize your order on their website. You can specify if you want your wings crispy, more or less sauce, what type of wings (drums, flats...). Nonetheless, my boyfriend orders the crazy burger and he always says how great it is. French friends are delicious as well and they give you a lot.
