While staying nearby at the Hilton Garden Inn I was looking for a place to get some quick good wings. I saw that the Wing Bucket was only 3 blocks away and offered a variety of quick food options. I glanced at the menu online and then went to the location. It is located on a corner with some benches available outdoors for the nice (weather accommodating) days. I went in and was greeted with smiles. All staff were friendly, helpful and patient. Patience was important as it can become overwhelming with all of the rub and sauce options. I chose the 4 wings in honey chipotle sauce (a safe bet). I waited about 10 minutes or so, which was longer than I expected but understandable given the small crowd starting to build up. The wings were big and flavorful. You will definitely need a wet nap or towel afterwards. You can get the rubs of chicken wings, chicken tenders of ribs. They had chicken sandwiches as an option as well. I saw that they offered a variety of sides including mac and cheese. They had quite the selection of beer and drinks (hurricane, etc...) at very reasonable prices and during the week from 3-6PM, all drinks (or maybe just beer) are half price!!! These wings are actual WINGS of the bird so be prepared to get messy. That was my only knock on the place is that these things are difficult to eat. At times, I felt like I needed a custom tool of some sort to maneuver around the thing. Kinda like eating a crab claw. The woman at the counter said that all sides come separately unless you order a combo. So I ordered a combo (chicken sandwich with fries and drink) but was charged for each item separately? After driving by this place several times and exclaiming "Oh wing bucket, we should try this place out..." We finally bit the bullet and called a pick up order. The wings are very big, like huge delicious monster chicken wings. They are meaty and they are juicy, and I don't care if they were genetically enhanced in a lab, or the chicken was fooled into thinking he was competing in Mr. Olympia, it was awesome. Wings are much larger than wings I am use to seeing from places like Wingstop. The flavors I have tried have been pretty delicious. Stuck with Sour Cream and onion (also great on the fries), BBQ, Teriyaki, and Lemon Pepper. All flavors were delicious. I think this place is pretty close in quality and taste to Pluckers which I am a huge fan of. If you are a fan of Pluckers ranch flavor, you will like the Sour Cream and Onion flavor at Wingbucket, although SCO is a bit on the sweeter side. They also have a large offering of dry rub wings if you are tired of getting sauce all over your hands which is a nice alternative. Service is fairly quick I ordered for pick up and it was ready in about 10-15 minutes. My fries were over seasoned, but I think that's a plus more than a minus lol. read more
