All of the food was fresh and flavorful. The servers were very kind and attentive. The restaurant was very clean and could be considered on the upscale side. This DIAMOND is located in Oasis Hotel. The vibe of the place is the select people who know about this place and come here have been coming here for years/ generations to enjoy EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE from all of the employees (especially, the very attentive waiters!), AMAZING SELECTION OF HIGH QUALITY FOOD, and the great pianist who plays in the evening to escalate your experience with music (This guy knows ALL songs! I made about 5-7 requests and he knew them all!). I recommend the FRIDAY evening buffet that starts at 6PM to people who enjoy fresh seafood such as OYSTERS, BIG PRAWNS, , and SCALLOPS! The way they're cooked is just SO GOOD! *DROOLS They are given as appetizers but after tasting them, I requested more and almost forgot about the other food such as the ROAST BEEF in the middle of the restaurant! Hahahaha If you enjoy a medium- rare cut, you'll get it here! They have this ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS RICH AND CREAMY BLACK PEPPERCORN GRAVY to put atop red meat. If they have it, opt for this instead of au jus! For deserts, there is fresh fruit such as sweet watermelon, cantaloupe, creme brulee (the sugar on top is actually caramelized because it's torched! YES!), to name a few. End your dinner with a cup of coffee. The coffee is bold and strong! LOVE IT!

Staff do speak and understand English, plus they do a good job describing their offerings. Since many of the names of the items were in German, we asked them detailed questions about their menu before we made our decision. THINGS WE HAVE ORDERED HERE: -Beef mami - meh -Pork Schnitzel Sandwich - delicious sandwich with fresh veggies served on soft rye bread. I chose a spicy mustard to go with it. WHEW! That mustard cleared my sinuses, it was yummy though. - Chicken Schnitzel Sandwich - delicious but I personally think the pork schnitzel is better. - Sisig - fatty and full of gristle - Chicken curry - chicken was tough, curry sauce was ok - Spicy Hungarian sausage - this was yummy especially paired with their spicy mustard So to sum things up: I would suggest to skip their Filipino dishes and stick to their European dishes, especially the schnitzel sandwiches. Don't forget to ask for their yummy spicy mustard and to order the fries extra crispy. TIP - they open late in the day 3pm.

The inside has simple clean decor, and the background music ranges from Tagalog love songs to Karen Carpenter, and even Tupac. Staff speak English well, there's a strong aircon, and a password protected free WiFi that's fast and pretty strong. There's a small refrigerated case for desserts, and another for their deli meats and cheeses. The kitchen is as big as the dining area and separated by a wall with 2 large tinted windows; you can observe the staff cooking. Food comes out in a reasonable time period. ORDERED FOR BREAKFAST: - 2 eggs - hubby's sunny side eggs weren't quite set, that's why I always order mine over easy. - Sausage looked like it was made in house, decent taste - Longganisa was ok - Hashbrowns were oily and soggy in the middle. I asked for them to be crispy but only the edges were slightly crispy. - Toast was sliced thick and came with butter and jam. Saw another table order sandwiches which looked really good! Met the lovely co-owner who encouraged us to come back for their sandwiches; she told us that they smoke their own meats and bake their own bread. FYI - they sell day old cookies for 50% off UPDATE: Don't go one hour before closing, they run out of certain items and the staff are tired and a little cranky. Went back for dinner (hubby's treat) and we ordered: - Iced coffee sweetened and with cream. It was made with True Ridge coffee from Laguna. It tasted better after I asked for more of their liquid syrup. - Chili - I can't believe that we found good ole fashioned American chili con carne in the Philippines! You can find it listed under "sides". It's meaty, chunky and comes in a small bowl with onions and shredded cheese on top YUMMY! - Smoked Turkey (smoked in house) with everything (comes with Swiss cheese) on wheat bread with French fries (skin on), requested them crispy but they were not very crispy at all. The tasty sandwich was filling with fresh veggies and had a soft bun. Would definitely come back for their sandwiches and Chili con carne. I'm excited to try more things from their menu. TIPs - They have 4 kinds of mustard that you can request to be added to your sandwich: plain, spicy, Dijon, and horseradish. Make friends with the staff!! If there are any flies bothering you, let the staff know and they'll zap them with their electric tennis racket lookin thingy.

The huge drain pictured is where I came across a family of 6 Somalian refugees encamped just 2 days earlier. Eating, sleeping there. No amount of money I gave them was enough. It's since been roped off. So tonight, my meal was a million stars comparatively. From my Yelp perspective? 5 stars. These were some delicious, spicey Filipino/Korean seasoned crunchy tacos. DINING OUT DURING A PANDEMIC:…read more We've been extending our wedding anniversary celebration and decided to try the breakfast here. Things don't always turn out the way that you plan, but that's not always bad. Our temps were scanned at the front door of the hotel; face masks and shields are mandatory. Hubby signed us in, then a lovely masked cowgirl/server opened the door to the restaurant and greeted us. I chose a table outside, requesting the ceiling fan to be turned on. We took our time perusing the menu and decided against breakfast, instead we ordered: - Cafe mocha - made from Brazilian coffee beans. This was good. - Corn Fritters made fresh and covered in powdered sugar. Always a winner YUM! - Crab cakes - Oh my! This was delish! Made with fresh crab with a light crisp exterior topped with mango relish - New York Nachos topped with sirloin chunks, chili con carne, pico de gallo, cheese and jalapeños. Comes with sour cream and guacamole (not up to the standard of California avocados) - I make my own chili con carne from scratch, so I wasn't fond of their version, but hubby ate it up! - Blackened Chicken sandwich with smoked bacon - delicious soft bun, thick cut bacon, it had good flavor. American size portions (not tiny Filipino size) with prices that are reasonable, considering the high quality of their ingredients. Also don't be afraid to make requests: they have corn fritters and a cafe mocha that aren't not on the menu. Servers actually come by and asked "How's your food?", this is the first time I've ever heard anyone here in the Philippines ask that! If you need anything, you just need to give the servers a knowing glance, and they'll quickly come. They're always close by keeping an eye out for you. FYI: the standard around the Philippines is that the servers won't check in on you unless you need them. That's why many places have call buttons, or the staff stand around waiting for you to call them. What a beautiful place for a relaxing poolside meal, listening to Kenny G working his magic on the saxophone, and the soothing sound of the rain in the background: I've found foodie heaven.
