Interiors are beautiful and cozy. The leather chairs, central bar, and decor take you to another world where you can enjoy your classic cocktail, scotch, or wine in utter opulence. The staff are always efficient and helpful when serving and suggesting drinks if you are feeling a little adventurous. Try the Negroni 1919 or the Espresso Martini. Good selection of wines too and a decent repertoire of Single Malts (for a price!). Bar chow is available too if you feel like you need more than the refillable snacks they serve you. It's also the perfect place to have an intimate conversation or a casual meeting. Cigar smokers and smokers alike will enjoy the fact that you can smoke here (sorry non-smokers!). Price points are expensive compared to your average bars or speakeasies but you're at The Peninsula after all. The overall feel is nostalgic, classic, and definitely for those who enjoy high quality cocktails and drinks in a place that makes you feel like you're transported to a bar in Cuba with different world music playing in the background.

From their croquettes to their churros everything is tasty and well done. I love their mushroom paella and if I ever move on and try their other paellas, I feel certain I would love them too. Their billinis are wonderful cocktails too. Very refreshing and at a buy one get one free deal during lunch, makes it easy to enjoy even more. If you like Spanish food, I think you'll enjoy this for sure. And if you're not familiar with Spanish cuisine, then this is the perfect place to start.

A large group was also dining at the same time but overall it wasn't too loud. Staff here have been welcoming and attentive. They remembered some of our go to dishes which the family enjoys. Las Flores menu offered lots of options and this time we got the following: Salmon tartare - unique presentation in a fried lumpia wrapper cone. The additional wasabi mayo side let us add as much as we wanted. Angus and foie gras- tender beef and creamy foie gras was decadent Jamon croquettes- crunchy , creamy and a little salty Duck rigatoni- an excellent pasta dish with shredded savory duck Chorizo Frito - sautéed chorizo sausages that tasted even better with the roasted garlic cloves The small plates gave us a good taste since we were not that hungry. Next time we'll try the paella again.

I'm going to start my review by stating that I'm not a speakeasy fan... i find them very gimmicky…read more We walked there from our Makati hotel. It's a little off the busy part of town... for some stretches you need to walk through empty streets. It is accessed via a burger joint. If you can't find it, the local security guard will help. Drinks range from like 320-600ish pesos. So while expensive for Manila, they are cheaper than bars in coastal cities in the US. How were the drinks? Meh. Definitely nothing special. For a place that specializes in cocktails, I definitely think that they were below average. Also the presentation for the most part wasn't great either (apart from a few exceptions). Most drinks were served in a regular glass that most people would have at home. The bar Oto, located fairly close by, serves much better cocktails (and at a cheaper price with better ambiance). They also gave us a bowl of popcorn but it taste fairly stale to me. I figured it's best not to eat that... who knows how many tables it's been on before

Think: Blind pig, with better music, more light, and more people. Unfortunately, reality hit, as soon as I entered the place. Besides, an elderly married couple in the corner, the entire place was completely deserted - this was a Saturday night at 11:30 pm. The interior of the place had little uniqueness and felt more like a hotel bar or airport lounge. In short: sterile. Now to the drinks, we ordered a Whiskey Sour and an Old-fashion which both looked great, but was soon disappointed and surprised by the flavor of our drinks. After asking, I figured out, that it was because they had used Southern Comfort as whiskey of the drinks. Now this being a whiskey bar, with a very impressive whiskey selection, using Southern Comfort which is a cheap liqueur and neither a whiskey nor a bourbon for that matter is a little disappointing. Especially, since something like an Old-fashioned main ingredient would be bourbon. Now, perhaps, I'm being a bit harsh? And potentially so, but I would like to make the argument, that if you run a whiskey bar, and you charge the price tag and establishment as Bar M does, at the least be able to make an Old-fashion, and don't start using cheap substitutes. This would be pretty much unheard of anywhere else that would take their whiskey establishment seriously. At the end, we took two sips, paid, and left. I would come back here for a night trying out their impressive whiskey selection, but please don't come here for the crowd, music, or the cocktails.

I loved the simple decor, even the exhaust pipes looked cool. Staff were laid back, friendly, and did a good job taking care of us. They don't offer unlimited samgyeopsal like at other KBBQ joints; they focus on quality rather than quantity. I would rather be filled with delicious food than stuffed with mediocrity; life is too short! WE ORDERED: - Han Pan Samgyeobsal (grilled Pork belly) - Bulgogi - seasoned beef - rice We were first served the complimentary, refillable banchan (side dishes) which were tasty: a great way to start. When we were out of the hangry zone, our server brought out the pork belly which had many other items that came with it (please see picture). She grilled up everything and we devoured every little bit. My favorite wrap to use for the meats was the Korean Perilla leaf (mint family) which was aromatic as well as tasty. Make sure to use the chili oil and paste to amp up the flavors. Our group of four had a very enjoyable dinner. I am looking forward to coming back, and would definitely tell all my friends. TIP - make sure they turn off the fire when your food is slightly undercooked because the grill plate stays very hot and will continue cooking your food even when the fire is off.
