    Rizzotto Cato
    Paul T.

Business dinner here tonight with several colleagues! I am rating the service as average, as the staff did not do much to market the establishment or favorite dishes. The food was also average! Had rizzotto Cato, i feel it was too much boiled, and a Greek salad (a bit more olive oil would have had helped. Would I come again? Probably not, sorry Amare.

The bar has a nice stock. The wine selection is fair. There is an upstairs private area. French head chef with another chef. Definitely a 4 to 5 star restuarant. However, the salad was a little wizened. The bread was slightly over cooked. It will all hang on the steak prep and the lasagna execution.

The service was excellent and the food tasted real good, and was absolutely the finest authentic Italian and not a want-a-be. You will think you are in Rome and not the Philippines.. And the desserts ? I say order two they are that good they not only look good but taste fantastic. I almost licked my plate to get to the sugar decorations. Presentation well just look at the photos. And the ambiance, decor was one of a kind. The restaurant was not very big and it has stairs to no where are part of the decor. and the noise level is on the high side. Be sure to get the cappuccino, and a little wink will get you some sambuca. The cost was pricey for Angeles City but cheap compare to New York, about $20 a person without any wine.

It was cooked medium and I guess I shouldn't ordered medium to begin with and a steak on a filipino guised italian restaurant. I'm not usually a fan of thin-crust pizza, but Mama Lou's changed my mind…read more Me and my fabulous hubby were in the mood for some pizza, and Mama Lou's had captured my husband's interest for a while. We visited it for our anniversary, and the Italian bistro interior was truly captivating. They had some watercolor advertisement prints, a nice wine rack, and other touches to sell the bistro atmosphere. The supervisor, Mark, was extremely engaging, and along with our server, Aira, made sure that our visit was stellar. We enjoyed talking with Mark very much. We chose to eat the spinach and artichoke dip, the mozzarella sticks, and two fourteen-inch pizzas. I LOVED the pepperoni pizza. It had a spicy, addictive sauce that really gave it oomph. The assorted meat pizza was great, but I'm not the biggest fan of Canadian bacon. It was still delicious but didn't wow me as much as the pepperoni did. The thin crust delivered on its promise: tender dough under the toppings with a crisp, cracker like crust. We truly enjoyed the experience. The dip had this baked cheese crust that really elevated the taste, and was served with fluffy, flour tortilla, fried chips. This dish was my second favorite next to the pepperoni pizza. The mozzarella sticks were also amazing, with what seemed like hand breading. I'm used to the kind of mozzarella sticks you get in diners, so these sticks tasted a bit... classier? I think that's how I'd describe it. Anyway, I invite you to give Mama Lous in the Nuvali Solenad Mall a try. I think you'll be happy you visited.

This place can be easily missed if you're along Sucat road because it's quite discreet-looking and has no parking. But inside is a different story--the vibe is reminiscent of Bellini's. It's cozy, homey, and filled with Italian-themed decor, a leaning tower of Pisa, and so on. You'll forget that you're in bustling, polluted Sucat road! We got the Aglia Oglio Pasta, and a Mushroom Risotto (that they made vegan just for me! Just ask nicely). Both dishes were really topnotch and exceeded our expectations (though to be honest, we had none at this particular time. I mean, any meal after a 10-hour trip from Vigan, Ilocos will be satisfying). Their servers are very accommodating, and at that time they were offering us these really fresh, gigantic portobello mushrooms they had that looked so tempting (but were quite pricey--though to be honest, I STILL think about that moment. What if we had gotten those mushrooms?!?! WHAT IF). Just like Bellini's, at the end of your meal you are treated to a complimentary jigger of Italian sweet wine. Bellisimo!
