Really little has changed, the service and food is still subpar and overpriced. Yes, they have moved from the original hotel location to the new building but really no improvement. It is a much longer walk now to the parking because the whole complex is set up for the gambling, they really don't care about the food or the comfort of those dinning, just get the money. Lets's set the record straight here, they do not serve pizza, or anything like pizza, their Chef Chris roll ups are not pizza, and not good at all. Service is very slow, even in an empty restaurant. The soup was a very small amount and tasted like packaged freeze-dried soup. The lamb was not tender and overcooked. And why call it Amare by Chef Chris? He died long before the current location was ever built, even going back to his early restaurant C Italian, on Don Juico Ave, when he was cooking his food was not good and his customer service was even worse. If you want to overpay and get bad food with poor service, then come here, you will not be disappointed. Amare by Chef Chris should follow the lead of its namesake and RIP. It could be considered a public service.

We dined here last Sunday, February 16, 2025, to celebrate a milestone. What we thought was a fun Sunday ended up with us being in the emergency room. My mother-in-law was admitted to the hospital and had to go through an emergency operation because her index finger was trapped in the restaurant's automatic glass door leading to their comfort rooms. Her index finger was deeply wounded (2 cuts to be exact) and its bone was fractured as well. The doorjamb of this automatic door was sharp, almost like a knife, which caused the deep cuts and the fractured bone. The staff and even the manager working that night were aware. No one even assisted us to get medical help. We were traumatized, anxious during my mother-in-law's hospital confinement, and frustrated because they were not being responsive when we asked about the management's plan. They only said sorry and "we did not want it to happened but it was accident po". An accident which happened because of your unsafe premises! This accident cost the family a lot of money and the management told us that they will NOT cover the medical expenses nor help in any way. We are truly flabbergasted.

Would never go here if I had a choice. Food is overpriced for what is serviced. Poorly prepared and not presented well. It is clear they have a local staff who do not understand good food or providing good service. Our group was about 20 people, so ordered many different items. The best was just average. For example, order a Hawaii Pizza, the crust was not tasty, but would have been passable if the rest was good. The cheese used was a fake-processed product, the tomato sauce was bitter, the ham was poor quality, and the pineapple seemed to be old, and starting to ferment. Many servers here, but they seemed to just run around. Did not seem like severs were assigned to any set area. Ask for a knife to cut the cake, had to ask no less than 5 servers and took 15 minutes. Very popular with Filipinos/Filipinas but really does not stand up in quality, service and pricing. You can find much better food in Angeles City at a better value.
