The service was excellent and the food tasted real good, and was absolutely the finest authentic Italian and not a want-a-be. You will think you are in Rome and not the Philippines.. And the desserts ? I say order two they are that good they not only look good but taste fantastic. I almost licked my plate to get to the sugar decorations. Presentation well just look at the photos. And the ambiance, decor was one of a kind. The restaurant was not very big and it has stairs to no where are part of the decor. and the noise level is on the high side. Be sure to get the cappuccino, and a little wink will get you some sambuca. The cost was pricey for Angeles City but cheap compare to New York, about $20 a person without any wine.

Al Bacio serves authentic Italian dishes made by an Italian chef, who uses fresh ingredients and takes pride in all his dishes. Let me quote myself from my first review: "First glance at the menu might make you say that it's quite pricey; but if you factor in the price of importing quality goods from Italy, the effort it takes to make everything in house (dressing, sauces, bread, pasta, and pizza dough) AND the VIP treatment you get from the wonderful staff: the price point is completely reasonable." This is one of our favorite Italian restaurants: cozy atmosphere, warm staff, and delicious food. I love that the waitstaff and chef are eager to accommodate any requests within reason. We always leave here relaxed, with satisfied tastebuds, and happy bellies. Mangiamo!

The soup was a very small amount and tasted like packaged freeze-dried soup. The lamb was not tender and overcooked. And why call it Amare by Chef Chris? He died long before the current location was ever built, even going back to his early restaurant C Italian, on Don Juico Ave, when he was cooking his food was not good and his customer service was even worse. If you want to overpay and get bad food with poor service, then come here, you will not be disappointed. Amare by Chef Chris should follow the lead of its namesake and RIP. It could be considered a public service.

Restaurant is named after the designer of the Eiffel Tower: Alexandre Gustav Eiffel. There's a model of the Eiffel Tower out front: makes for a great photo op. On their wall, you can read an interesting story about how the Eiffel Tower came to be. It's a cozy and elegant place decorated in beautiful wood tones, with comfy tufted armchairs (even the baby high chairs have tufted backs), and dark glass tables that beautifully reflect the wall art. Nothing much to say about the servers; they just take your order and deliver the food. They're not very warm nor helpful; they couldn't even answer simple questions about their desserts. We ordered a chocolate cake and a choco mint frappe. The cake was rich and decadent but on the stale side. The shake tasted awful! I usually love the combination of chocolate and mint, but this tasted like minty toothpaste UGH! The only reason I would give them a second chance is because it's a nice place to escape the crowded mall and hang out. Next time we'll try out the food. We dined here last Sunday, February 16, 2025, to celebrate a milestone. What we thought was a fun Sunday ended up with us being in the emergency room. My mother-in-law was admitted to the hospital and had to go through an emergency operation because her index finger was trapped in the restaurant's automatic glass door leading to their comfort rooms. Her index finger was deeply wounded (2 cuts to be exact) and its bone was fractured as well. The doorjamb of this automatic door was sharp, almost like a knife, which caused the deep cuts and the fractured bone. The staff and even the manager working that night were aware. No one even assisted us to get medical help. We were traumatized, anxious during my mother-in-law's hospital confinement, and frustrated because they were not being responsive when we asked about the management's plan. They only said sorry and "we did not want it to happened but it was accident po". An accident which happened because of your unsafe premises! This accident cost the family a lot of money and the management told us that they will NOT cover the medical expenses nor help in any way. We are truly flabbergasted.
