Have been coming here for over eight years and never a bad meal. Some find it pricey for Angeles City but is is a true bargain. Some of the best Italian food we have every had. But also USDA Beef, Maine Lobsters, fresh mussels, oysters, scallops are feature here. The staff is always prefect. The owner cooks and overseas every meal. The decor makes you believe you are in Italy. It is a great place for dinner. Sadly only open for dinner service Tuesday to Sunday. They also have a small bar area and nice selection of wines. Located on the first floor of Prime Asia Hotel with parking in front of the restaurant. We like this Restaurant so much we had our Wedding here. The first and only complete Wedding ever done here and it was prefect. Celebrated my birthday at Piccolo Padre a few days ago.... We were promptly seated but it took a while for a server to get our order. Ordered pork chop with green beans and rice, Chef Miguel hamburger with fries, crispy calamari, halo halo and a mango shake. The desserts came out first which I thought was odd, but they were both very good. Pork chop was good but not great. The hamburger is not juicy as described on the menu. The meat was dry and did not taste like 100% beef. I ended up eating a couple bites and that was it. My husband said the pork chop dinner was good. The area is a little run down with a family of beggars in the front. Not very impressive for a first timer dining here.

It was juicy and tender with a decent peppercorn sauce - Dulce de Leche cheesecake - off menu item P170 very thick and dense. Best part of it was the delicious topping, which surprisingly wasn't overly sweet. The "service water" tastes like garden hose water ICK! Luckily they have a delicious, off menu, in-house made tropical iced tea. Service drops off when you get your food; but, that's a common theme here in the Philippines. It's expected that if you need something, you raise your hand or call out for the wait staff. Perfect place for parties where there are large areas that you can reserve: enclosed or open air. This is THE ONLY place that I know of in Angeles City where you can get tender, well cooked steak at cheap prices. I am certainly adding this place to our list of favorites. Really little has changed, the service and food is still subpar and overpriced. Yes, they have moved from the original hotel location to the new building but really no improvement. Lets's set the record straight here, they do not serve pizza, or anything like pizza, their Chef Chris roll ups are not pizza, and not good at all. Service is very slow, even in an empty restaurant. The soup was a very small amount and tasted like packaged freeze-dried soup. The lamb was not tender and overcooked. And why call it Amare by Chef Chris? He died long before the current location was ever built, even going back to his early restaurant C Italian, on Don Juico Ave, when he was cooking his food was not good and his customer service was even worse. If you want to overpay and get bad food with poor service, then come here, you will not be disappointed. Amare by Chef Chris should follow the lead of its namesake and RIP. It could be considered a public service.

Al Bacio serves authentic Italian dishes made by an Italian chef, who uses fresh ingredients and takes pride in all his dishes. Let me quote myself from my first review: "First glance at the menu might make you say that it's quite pricey; but if you factor in the price of importing quality goods from Italy, the effort it takes to make everything in house (dressing, sauces, bread, pasta, and pizza dough) AND the VIP treatment you get from the wonderful staff: the price point is completely reasonable." This is one of our favorite Italian restaurants: cozy atmosphere, warm staff, and delicious food. I love that the waitstaff and chef are eager to accommodate any requests within reason.
