Everyone goes to Puzzles on Malabanias and Don Juico, so we were looking for an alternative breakfast place to break the monotony. If you walk/trike down Malabanias about half a mile further (you'll see Chicken Star on your left and the Jeep terminal on your right) turn left on Elvira St., ZRV will be on your left. It's down the street from Prime Asia Hotel.
Waitress was warm and welcoming; we were addressed as "madam" and "sir".
WE'VE TRIED:
- Fresh brewed iced tea was ok
- Vanilla milk tea had a strong vanilla taste but weak tea flavor, next time I'll ask them to leave the tea bag in so it can brew longer.
- decent coffee with coffee beans from Baguio, you get one free refill.
-Garlicky longganisa was yummy
- I asked for crispy bacon and it was cooked perfectly!
-Good sausage link
- Pancake fluffy was slightly chewy outside. A decent pancake but I personally wasn't fond of the taste of the pancake mix they used.
-Good achara/atsara/atchara that accompanies the Filipino breakfast
-Eggs cooked perfectly
-Hash browns delish with crisp edges, you have to ask for them cooked crispy as well.
- French toast was ok, it would have been better if they didn't use the ends of the bread.
- waffles were thin and didn't have those nice crisp edges that I like.
- chicken wings were simply made, tasty, with a crispy skin.
Ask nicely and you'll be able to switch out items on their breakfast plates. Hubby was able to switch out the pancakes for French toast on his American breakfast. Some items I really enjoyed but others I didn't; so you have to be choosy on what you order to make the most of your dining experience.
They have two dining areas, but the seating by the kitchenette is more comfortable. They have delivery through Food Panda. So happy to find another great breakfast place close to home. read more
