DELIVERY DURING THE LOCKDOWN: I haven't had any bubble tea…read moreor specialty coffee drinks since the lockdown, so today, we wanted to treat ourselves. We ordered through foodpanda and it arrived safe and sound without any spillage. They did an excellent job taping up the cups and securing it in the bag with a cardboard holder. Extra points for having the straw in a sealed plastic wrapper. I was happy with my ice blended mocha drink; it had good flavor and it wasn't overly sweet. I will definitely order from them again. BEFORE THE COVID-19 LOCKDOWN: What a lovely place to chill! Lots of different seating options: from comfy lounge chairs and half booths, to outdoor wicker chairs shaded with patio umbrellas. Staff are friendly and work hard keeping the place clean. They can be seen washing windows and wiping down tables. Menu isn't extensive, but they do have a good variety. Their iced teas are very mild; but I did enjoy their floral teas (Southern Blend & Pomegranate Blueberry). Next time, I'll request that they steep the tea longer. I appreciate that they are light handed in adding sweetener. I had a slice of their chocolate cake which was too dense, and had frosting that was too sugary sweet. If it's not too hot, the second floor patio is an excellent place to escape the crowd. There are lots of patio umbrellas to shade you from the sun, and you can see all the way to the mountains. The hum of the traffic and the occasional buzzing from an airplane were relaxing sounds, as my hubby and I enjoyed each other's company. Looks like people like to work/study here. This one person had set up an entire work station on one table, and even brought in their own extension cord to hook up all their electronics. Located in the Clark Auto Zone Plaza, look for the red Kia Motors sign, they're on the opposite end. If you get hungry, there's a Yellow Cab and Pancake House next door.

It was nearly a year after its opening when I finally got to try this restaurant. The name sounds…read moreJapanese but it isn't... I think the words were selected because one sounds like "yummy" or something like that. My cousin told me she and her friends like this place (they would--they're tweens). She ordered one of those flower pots. It's like a pot with a cupcake in it (the flower is fake, but I think it costs Php 80.00 extra). The place looks really cute and girly (read: not my kind of place) and the chairs are rather tiny. My knees would bump on the little table too. Not for very tall people. So I think we ordered the tiny burgers and the fries which are nothing to write home about... they're just...okay. The ingredients aren't anything special, but very interesting concept with the pizza fries. I'm going to try making that one day, with better cheese (the secret to making anything awesome is cheese, I tell you). Now, the thing on the menu you have to order are their drinks. They have cute names like "Once Upon a Nutella," "The Three Maltesers," etc. I had the one with the tiny Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, so it was salty and sweet at the same time. Anyone would go into sugar shock with the sweetness, so I think I requested just 3/5 sugar, but they'd sprinkle this colorful sugar on top of your drink, which looks very cool on instagram. We decided to order a slice of red velvet cheesecake (I think) and a slice (or square) of blueberry cheesecake (as takeaway for my mum) and they were tiny... so a little disappointing. The red velvet wasn't that great; the cheesecake wasn't cream cheese-y. It was quite bland and not rich at all. It tasted like paste, actually. I think my mom didn't really love her dessert either. I've definitely had better cheesecake. So, I'd probably give 4 stars for my drink, because-- duh, presentation and instagram-worthiness. But overall, for the concept with the movie house thing (there was a group of kids watching a film when we ate there and they looked like they had a lot of fun), the cozy (albeit cramped) space, and the decor and for making me feel like giant Alice in Wonderland-- all good things, but then, the not so special food, the cakes -- I'd have to say three stars. I might go back for coffee, but not for the food. * EDIT: Oh, and they sometimes offer Buy 1 Take 1 deals for their drinks on their anniversary, around May if I'm not mistaken, so that's cool.

I adore breakfast burritos because it is a filling, healthy alternative to fast-food. When I was a…read moreworking mom running and gunning, it was also a cheap breakfast that was easy to eat on the go. Good Mexican food is a scarcity here in the PI, so I've been telling my hubby about the breakfast burrito here. We finally found some free time to stop by. WE ORDERED - Breakfast burrito (added sausage for P50 more). Flavorful and tasty. Green salsa complimented the burrito well; but I thought it was on the salty side (the burrito had enough flavor so it didn't need more salt). Hubby prefers a higher salt level than me so he enjoyed it. - Filipino breakfast - comes with two eggs, rice (this was on the hard side), and longganisa. The sausage was sweet, savory and delicious, pair it with spicy vinegar (you need to request it) to compliment the sweetness. - Cafe Americano (complimentary with breakfast)- a blend of four coffees that they roast and grind in house. We asked for it iced. This was strong, so we added sugar and milk. - Iced Tea - today's flavor was Jasmine (they switch out teas when they finish a batch). This was floral but not over steeped, so I enjoyed it once I added sugar. Things have improved even more than last time. Now you can ask to have the complimentary coffee iced OR you can have it replaced with their available tea (hot or iced). The regular staff are now just as attentive as the management. They offered us ice water before we even had to ask. I left a tip in their tip jar and they actually thanked me, it's the little details that I feel make a business 5 stars. If you run into any any problems, make sure to approach the managers; they're easy to talk to and they'll make things right.

I started collecting Starbucks mugs a few years ago and was super excited to add the Pampanga mug…read moreto my collection. I ended up getting a new Pampanga and new Philippine Starbuck mug to my collection, even though I already have one of each. I also picked up the Pampanga and Philippine water bottle. The unfortunate thing is when I got back to California, my Pampanga water bottle tipped over and shattered. I'm not sure why it did, I have a California glass water bottle and have never had the same problems. This Starbucks was extremely busy and it took a while to get to the front of the line. I was bummed that I was not able to get a Philippine gift card. I was told that it was only part of the special if I spent so much and got the Starbucks calendar. I settled for the Christmas gift card instead.
