This Starbucks location in Subic is in a great spot right along the coast. The building looks fairly new, with huge windows and a spacious two-story layout that makes it a really nice place to sit down and enjoy a coffee, pastry, or baked good.
Inside, everything was very clean and contemporary, and the staff were extremely nice and accommodating. The drinks are pretty standard compared with Starbucks in the U.S., although the prices are cheaper than back home while still being a little more expensive than many of the local drinks and food options.
I ordered a White Chocolate Mocha Frappuccino along with a sausage roll. The Frappuccino was fine, but nothing particularly different from what I'd get at Starbucks in the States.
The sausage roll, however, was a completely different story. It's not something I've seen offered at Starbucks in the U.S., and it easily beats any Texas-sized kolache I've had. The sausage is juicy and wrapped in a buttery, flaky pastry that is delicious. It was so good that I came back for a second one!
If you're visiting Starbucks in the Philippines, definitely get the sausage roll. It pairs especially well with anything milky, creamy, or chocolatey. Between the coastal location, beautiful interior, friendly staff, and that sausage roll, this is a Starbucks I'd happily visit again. read more
