Hot, fresh, fluffy, and that cinnamon butter should honestly come with a warning label because it's impossible to stop eating. The steak was tender and flavorful, the potato was piping hot, and the veggies were fresh -- exactly what you hope for but don't always get. Prices felt totally fair for the quality and portion sizes. Even the bathroom was clean, which is always a good sign. Even though it's hot outside, the AC is cool, so I was happy to be wearing long pants with a sweater. Our server was pleasant enough. However, I would suggest that TR train the servers to mention certain things that aren't noted on the menu. For instance, a side of green beans isn't simply green beans- it also has bacon or bacon bits in it. While many people don't mind, I wasn't expecting it and don't eat bacon. I was dining for lunch with my book club friends and so we qualified for a discounted early special of select entrees for $12.99. The selections didn't include my favorite so I went with the Herb crusted chicken, a baked potato and the green beans (with bacon). It wasn't bad or anything, but it all tasted salty. Even the baked potato skin was encrusted with a course salt. The portions are generous and more than any of us could eat for lunch, so we all took home leftovers. I honestly would have thrown mine out, but my dog enjoyed the chicken. That raised my rating by an extra star. I was glad that the chicken didn't go to waste. I will also say that our server provided refills on our sodas and iced teas. I would definitely return, but I'd order what I really want and not be swayed by the early deals. No pictures because we were focused on our book.

It is primarily a sports bar with lots of screens to view any conceivable sporting event. My party of twelve (12) was there for our monthly book club discussion. Generally, we have a reservation but I learned that this establishment doesn't take reservations. There were people in our group who arrived 45 minutes before our scheduled 1pm meeting time. We were told that the only way to accommodate us was an upstairs area- although we were initially promised the first floor seating area. Unfortunately, one in our party couldn't do stairs and offered to leave. There was no elevator. We all agreed to wait on a first floor option. The manager was nice enough but also very matter of fact - as if this was a problem we brought on ourselves, as she explained that sports bar clientele could choose to stay for four hours. We all understood the quandary and opted to wait. Once seated and waited on, the process went rather smoothly. Our server was apparently used to large parties and did a really great job of accommodating us. Most of us ordered main entrees with some sides. I opted for the Swiss Mushroom chicken sandwich with lettuce and tomato. Also had them hold mayo and substituted a side of ranch without a problem. The person seated next to me had grilled chicken fingers with a sauce, which looked rather good but she described as typical bar food. The person across from me opted for a burger which she said wasn't anything special. Basically, nothing horrible and nothing amazing- just typical bar food. My entree was the chicken sandwich with Swiss cheese and mushrooms. I ordered it without mayo and requested a side of ranch. No problem. When my sandwich arrived, the tomatoes were very sub-par... like the very end of tomatoes that weren't even ripe in the first place. (I put them to the side, as well as the shredded lettuce that didn't look super fresh). Aside from that, my sandwich was fine, only ate the bottom bun. It was basically typical bar food so my expectations weren't super high. I mentioned to our server re the unripe tomato ends when she picked up our plates and she apologized. I will say that the lunch bill for this restaurant was on the reasonable side, considering prices these days. Even though we had a "large" party, we weren't charged an automatic gratuity and that actually made me want to tip our server more - recognizing that she inherited a difficult table of single checks but still did a pretty good job of staying on top of our orders. Overall, it's a great sports bar with lots of screens. If you'd like to have any meaningful conversations, the atmosphere was on the loud side. Food is overall fine for bar food but nothing amazing- though reasonably priced. Definitely feel free to check it out! It is in the building across from St. John's High School that used to be a Mexican restaurant and then a fire engine restaurant (if you're local, you know). Manage your expectations to decent bar food and nothing more or less - but with lots of screens to cheer on your favorite teams!

My favorite was the smoked chicken salad, because it was something I've never seen anywhere else. The smoke flavor is milder than I remember, but it's still the best chicken salad I've ever had. The mac and cheese and cornbread are also delicious. A Texan could never give Ohio bbq 5 stars, but Deets is getting the best I could give it, which is 4.
