Wing Kingz indeed lives up to its name! Chicken was juicy, flavorful and perfectly cooked. All orders are made to order, so after $17 and 15 minutes, I left the joint with 6 boneless wings and 3 chicken tenders. Value-wise, there are certainly better spots out there. If I can get a whole rotisserie chicken at Costco for $5, then why does it cost $17 for 3 little tenders and 6 boneless wings? I understand that the restaurant industry is tough right now and ingredients/labor aren't cheap, but by virtue of the price alone I'm not sure if Wing Kingz will become a regular spot for me. Price aside, the flavor was phenomenal. The seasoning station is truly a thing of beauty. And the woman behind the counter was kind and courteous. All in all, a great spot for some great chicken. I was visiting Grand Rapids and decided on some chicken. Wing Kingz is horrible. Chicken was over cooked and dried out, also got fried okra which was burnt and and made in tempura batter and we ordered large order of fries for $15 they gave us a small container enough for one person $65 down the drain! I ended up getting tropical smoothie and just threw the food away! Never again. Service was good young lady was nice! read more

Nice owner, savvy in the chicken game as it's made to order and the corners lopped off the Styrofoam container so the crust stays crispy. Expect a 15 minute cook time. Take out only. Meh idk was it because i chose ranch seasoning on my chicken with sweet & spicy half other half BBQ Just wasn't poppin' the female at the counter was pleasant to look at & a sweetie pie, she took care of my order with such care. SO good. these are some of the best wings i have ever had. best wings, best waffle fries, best hush puppies. even in the sauce, the wings were still crispy. they weren't over breaded like some i've had before. they had a good amount of meat and were delicious. i recommend the spicy garlic sauce. the waffles fries were soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. the hush puppies were crispy and delicious. we dipped them in a homemade honey butter and they were perfect. will 100% be ordering from here again. read more

Now our go to place for wings in GR! As a an upstate NY girl- I love Buffalo wings. In Detroit we ate a lot of Sweetwater wings, now here in GR it'll be Wing Kingz! I was worried for a while that we'd have to settle for the usual chains. We ordered on a Saturday night, food was ready on time and delicious! Today was my 1st time trying Wing Kingz. They have found a new customer. They had wonderful customer service, answered my questions and made suggestions. I ended up with the 2 piece chicken tender and fry combo, perch, and banana pudding for dessert. EVERYTHING was amazing and I can't wait to try other menu items. Excellent wings for the cheapest price around($8.99 for my meal)! I ordered the 6 piece Whole wings combo (all 3 parts of the wing) with lemon pepper sauce and Kingz sweet and spicy. It came with fries and a drink which interestingly enough offers a can of pop or Kool-aid. Tried the kamikaze kool-aid which tasted mostly of the grape flavor. Fries were a little soggy due to moisture in the container. Wings itself were delicious. The sweet and spicy was perfectly balanced but the lemon pepper was a bit too salty. Each item in the container had its own wrapping so that the flavors didn't mix together. Atmosphere: Take out only, but upon speaking with the owner they are working on some outdoor seating arrangement along with a table or two inside. There were a couple waiting chairs in place but we just stood and spoke with the owner. Service: Only the owner works during the lunch period currently but we were in and out within 20 minutes or so. More staff is involved in the afternoon/evening. Very friendly and outgoing. Expectations were met. Overall, would 100% recommend to others and try other flavors/items. read more

Wing Kingz is pretty close to our house, and my boyfriend and I love wings, so we finally decided to get some delivery in celebration of the first MSU football game of the season! (Let's not talk about the actual game, that gets zero stars on Yelp, lol) I wanted to try a little bit of a bunch of things, so I ordered some traditional wings (they also offer whole wings), a boneless wing combo, and chicken tenders. I chose some pretty classic sauces as a baseline for this first experience: mild buffalo, parmesan garlic, and honey mustard BBQ. Our food was all piping hot and fresh when it arrived. The first thing I always do with delivery is try some fries, if applicable. They're the first thing that should be eaten, in my opinion, because cold fries suck. These fries did not suck! They were crispy and hot, and perfectly fluffy inside. They were also seasoned nicely. I went on to try a little of everything else and here is my official ranking of chicken items and sauces (separately, for science): 1. Chicken tenders 2. Traditional wings 3. Boneless wings 1. Honey mustard BBQ 2. Mild buffalo 3. Parmesan garlic The chicken tenders were big chunky guys with minimal breading. Very nice quality and juicy, not dry. The buffalo was a little boring without a ton of flavor, but a decent version of a classic. I'd get hotter next time. The wings were requested not breaded, as I can't stand a breaded wing. The wing size was substantial enough without being comically large which makes me wonder what they're giving those chickens! The ratio of drummies to flats was also optimal and close to 50-50. The honey mustard BBQ was top notch - not too sweet, a little bit savory and totally delicious. 10/10 would order again. The boneless wings were a little lacking and I typically don't order them but had to try. They were the kind with sort of crunchy breading but these had a decent breading to chicken ratio. I just generally prefer traditional wings over boneless. The parmesan garlic sauce tasted mostly like garlic butter to me, which was a little over the top decadent at this point. Overall, I was very impressed with the quality of food, price, and freshness! I will definitely be ordering from Wing Kingz again soon. read more

Anyway, I just moved here to GR from TX and have been searching everywhere for my next "go-to" wing spot. It's safe to say I finally found it... Not only is the customer service amazing, but the staff is very welcoming and make you feel right at home. Which makes sense for a restaurant that serves southern food. Our go to wing place (Wing Doozie) has been closed due to lack of workers so we ventured out to a new place. Sauces were all new so they were very kind in giving lots of options. Food was served hot shortly after I arrived. The hush puppies were dry and overall, not very delicious. We ordered fries, wings, strips, and boneless wings. My favorite...the fries. Been wanting to try the gizzards here for a long time. I have had smoked gizzards with bbq sauce in the past and loved them. So I decided to try fried ones with bbq sauce. Now they offer soft, medium and hard fried. Figured I would do the medium. Now when I picked them up, they knew this was my first time trying them and they offered me to try them to see if the frying was to my liking. They would make another batch if I didn't like them medium. I didn't take them up on it because I felt the rest of the food would get soggy. My opinion, they were fried to hard so I would go with the soft if you don't want them to crunchy. My wife got the shrimp basket and I also got an order of mushrooms. Mushrooms were awesome. The rest of the food was a little soggy due to how far away I live from there. I would suggest ordering from here if you live just a few minutes away. The food was good, just would have been better if I lived closer. So I can't blame them for that. In my opinion, a great place for fried food. read more
