Really enjoyed my experience at Wing Bar! We sat at the bar and the bartenders/servers were really cool. We could tell that there are a lot of regulars here and we can understand why. Great spot for good food and vibes. It was a football Sunday so they threw the game on and the music was great. We literally just had lunch at 2pm and stopped in right when they opened at 5pm just to try the wings since it was a suggestion from a friend and we were in the area. They did not disappoint. We were already too full to try much of anything else. What we ordered: - 15 wings (half buffalo, half honey old bay) - strawberry mojito mocktail - raspberry mint limeade mocktail Both drinks were good but they did run out of mint and didn't tell us so we were sure which drink was which when it came out so we had to ask. Things to keep in mind: - the place is TINY - finding parking can be a pain - it's really hot when it's packed and it was PACKED that night. Okay now for the food: Wings: we ordered the lemon pepper wings, parm wings, honey old bay and buffalo. The overall chicken was great! Juicy inside with crispy skin that wasn't overcooked. As for the flavor, it was milder than I was expecting/prefer. The honey old bay was more honey with no old bay seasoning and the buffalo wasn't spicy. If you like a saucy wing with deep flavor, this probably won't be your jam. Double smash burger: next to the buffalo wings, this was probably my favorite part of the meal. It was a bit more on the charred side but it was still cheesy and juicy. Drinks were fine but pricey. Ordered the Uh-Huh Honey and the Blossom. The Uh-Huh Honey was definitely a winner! I came here with some friends and was surprised how good the food was! Usually food at bars are an afterthought. The bar is a bit of a hole on the wall with limited seating, but I could tell the place is maintained with a lot of love. I had my daughter with me, so they allowed us to sit at the tables at the window; which fully opens. They also have some tables + chairs on outside as well. This is a really small bar where jersey city residents and transplants can stop by with friends or by themselves, meet new people, eat, drink and have fun. The service is astounding for how small the bar is and how pack it gets. Kat is a rockstar! She is the life of the bar. For food I had the JC special which was disgusting. However, many others have liked it. The old bay honey wings and the Thai chili wings were my favorite. The wings is very crispy. Drinks, I had the demora and rum punch. I'll start by saying that the staff I met were really cool. They brought life and character to the bar. It is pretty tiny in there including the bathroom that didn't have hot water. Imagine going in the winter (around Xmas) and having to wash your hands in freezing cold water. The biggest issue that I had was the food. We had to send back all of our wings because they weren't fully cooked. It was beyond pink, it was almost still bleeding. We were only able to eat the onion rings and fries. Funny story...I came here not knowing that the Taco Bar is now the Wing Bar! Lol Me and my friends had our mouths ready for Tacos and got the surprise of our life lol. After deciding whether to stay or not we looked at the Wing menu and was intrigued by the sauces. Well i will say we were glad we stayed! The wings and fries were delish!! I had half garlic parm wings(a bit too much parm cheese) and the Honey Pot sauce which was AMAZING!!! it was such a fun little spot!
