This place was amazing. Our server was awesome, food tasted great, atmosphere was nice and clean! The only complaint I have is that there is no changing table in the women's restroom. I understand that this place isn't "kid friendly" but they should be able to accommodate everyone. Me, my husband and my 3 month old came here to enjoy a nice dinner. She was completely pleasant during the entire dinner, but I was humiliated when I had to change her diaper on the counter in the restrooms. I feel like something as small as a changing table in a restroom stall would make the atmosphere more inviting for everyone. I now feel like when my husband and I want to enjoy a nice dinner and bring our daughter, we should go to a different high-end restaurant that is maybe a little more family welcoming than Winewoods. read more

The seafood is my go to, tonight, scallops and snapper with artichokes and asparagus, wicked fresh and super tasty. ***Update*** Because I loved Winewood so much for lunch on Friday, I tried to take my family there for dinner the next Saturday. Sadly, it was a disappointing experience. We had a reservation for 7:30 and did not get seated until almost 8. When we did get seated, it was in the side "party" room away from the main floor. We had a table that was two times too big for our party and had poor lighting. After waiting five minutes, someone comes to fill our water glasses, and then walks away. I guessed he was just helping the waiter, so we waited some more. After nother ten minutes, my mother went to go ask the hostess to call our waiter. (Waiting this long for drinks is unacceptable). Surprise, our waiter was actually the guy who filled our waters, but walked away without introducting himself. He comes to our table and asks "What can I do for you?" From there, we had had enough. The waiter was inattentive and obviously didn't know how to treat guests. The first rule of service is never let someone wait more than two minutes to be greeted and get drink orders. And, we had to get up three times and ask the hostess to get our waiter. The manager did come by and offer to comp our drinks that we got from the bar, but we had already paid for those before being seated. So, we left and went to Bob's next door without eating. So disappointing. _______________ I went here for the first time on a Friday for lunch with some coworkers and it was awesome! Location: This place is in on Main Street right off of 114 behind the McDonald's. For being in that location, it is surrounded with three other nice restaurants and the plaza gives it a more upscale feel. Inside, it is really nicely decorated with dark, cherry wood tables, a fireplace and lots of windows. Service: This is a fancier restaurant and the hostess asked for my full name and entered it in the computer before she sat us, even though it was not busy. Our server, Bryce, was hilarious and had a good attitude. He really knew the menu and how to sell the products. Food and Price: I got the tuna taco special (two tacos with ahi tuna and pineapple pico de gallo) with a side of macaroni and cheese for $15. Both the tacos and the side were delicious. The pineapple pico on the tacos really made them stand out; however, they were a little cold by the time I got them. The macaroni and cheese I had as my side was fabulous! Made with gouda cheese and bacon, it was amazing. I highly recommend trying it. My coworkers and I were kind of celebrating, so we decided to split three desserts: cheesecake, bread pudding and creme brulee. The cheesecake was really light and fluffy, the creme brulee was creamy, but lacked flavor and the bread pudding was okay, but the "pudding" was too thick and not as moist as it could've been. All-in-all, I was quite happy with the food. For everything (entree, half a dessert, an iced tea, and a cappuccino) I paid around $30. Everything I ever ask for in a restaurant! Winewood is such a great place! The atmosphere is nice... its got that upscale feel without the pretense. The food is GREAT. Literally, pick anything on the menu and you will be pleased. And the team! The hosts are always cheery and well dressed (I particularly like it when hosts dress out instead of being uniformed), the bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable. (And lets talk about knowledgeable for just one second here: bartender, Konrad, REALLY knows his stuff! This guy gave me the most informative presentation on whiskey and bourbon! What a gem!) And every server we have ever had (regularly requesting John and Nate) have been just a dream. Winewood is perfect for any occasion, so you really should check it out. I had to travel to TX for work, and one of the nights, our team went out to eat at Winewood. We were seated right away on the covered patio. The decor of the restaurant is cute, has a comforting but modern feel. We started with the beef bruschetta, which was good, very sweet. The service was great, however my entree lacked flavor. I wanted some ribs since after all I was in TX, and BOY was this NOT the place for that type of food. I should have gone with a more atypical meal like the Chilean Sea Bass or the Filet. The Ribs were very tender, but the sauce was not good. It lacked any depth in flavors, and so did the mac n'cheese. My co-workers all enjoyed their meals. I've only been here for dinner once. Had the special of the night, bone-in filet (don't see that very often). Cooked to perfection! Service was excellent and overall a great value for what you get food wise. I go here for lunch quite often. I recommend the Steak Salad if you have to go back to work. If you could care less about your calorie intake, then try their BLT(A)...the "A" is for avocado. Of course you need their truffle fries to accompany any sandwich. Back to the BLTA sandwich. The service was very attentive but not overbearing. We did order deserts because of the occasion. Apple Crisp, Cookie/Brownie and chocolate cake. Very large portions, enough for a midnight snack. We sat outside on a Tuesday evening, and it took a good bit for the server to get to us. She didn't bring water while we were perusing the drink menu until we expressly asked, and then it was a solid 10 minutes. The bread basket we ordered was ok, but some was underdone and had a play dough consistency in the middle. We had 2 beers, both barely cold and poured for us, which is fine except they didn't actually give us the 12oz of beer or leave the remainder in the bottle. I had the tenderloin bruschetta as an entree, my husband the ribeye ordered medium-rare, and my son the kids' steak medium well. Husbands steak was at least medium well but tasted ok, the steak on mine was gray and totally devoid of flavor and salt. The meat was chewy and room temp, just terrible. My sons French fries were great though! The server was acutely inattentive throughout, never refilling waters. I've been a huge fan of Winewood since they opened. Typically the food has been great with special kudos to the Gouda Mac and Cheese and tenderloin bruschetta. Unfortunately my last couple of experiences have been disappointing. The food quality has been inconsistent. Last night we had the Rotisserie Chicken and Mac and cheese, and both were dry with very little flavor. It's a shame a restaurant that use to be so good is just 'ok' and still very pricey. read more

Mentioned my disappointment to manager only to be given a lecture about how they have other important guests to accommodate. The place is simply beautiful and cozy, the food delicious, and the best part is the spectacular service provided by our assigned server. Went here for date night with another couple, cozy atmosphere and the food was some of the best I've had. We were out with a Foodie and even she was impressed, how good it was. The service is good, tho our server mentioned us trying another nearby restaurant a few times, but the food didn't knock my socks off. No bread with dinner; steak salad was drowning in dressing; No real signature dishes and I'll tell you now - everything is overpriced. The cost is WAY too much for what you get. We were celebrating but it just felt awkward. The risotto was over cooked. Tried a couple of the martinis which were good - but not a huge selection of drinks. My husband and I went to Winewood for Valentine's Day and had a nice time. We were the lucky winners of their weekly Facebook contest so we started out with a bottle of wine on the house. It was very generous of Winewood and we loved the pinot grigio they provided for us. We started our meal with the calamari and it was very good. It was served in strips with two dipping sauces and it was cooked perfectly. We decided to go with the spinach and strawberry salad with our main course. The salad was a little sweet for my taste, but the pecans gave it a nice texture. My husband went with the special for his entree, which was a beef filet stuffed with mushrooms and served with roasted potatoes. He thought it was good, but it didn't compare with my entree. I decided to try the sea bass with saffron risotto, and it was SO good. The sea bass was tender with a crunchy crust and the risotto was creamy and perfectly prepared. We also decided to order a small side of their house macaroni and cheese, and it was delicious. We were too full to try for dessert, but the selections sounded great.
