During my most recent visit, multiple surfaces and items in the room were visibly dirty -- including the exam chair, the stirrup covers, and even the wall. There was also a large open jar of numbing compound that appeared discolored and had residue smeared in several areas around the room. These are basic hygiene issues that should be taken seriously in any medical setting. I reached out privately to the office hoping to share these concerns directly and ask where to send photos, but instead of addressing the situation, my patient portal access was suddenly deactivated. That was extremely disappointing, especially since I was trying to communicate respectfully and privately. In addition to the cleanliness concerns, wait times at every appointment were consistently long, even when I was scheduled first thing in the morning ( I was reassured that I would be seen as long as I booked the first appointment. Not only did that never happen, but I was told while I was in the room ready to be examined that she was on her way to work. I often waited over an hour before being seen, and the office frequently seemed disorganized. There was also very little communication regarding care, no notes were provided or printed, and when I asked for clarity on certain medical information, I was simply told to "google it." Everything felt SO RUSHED!!! I genuinely tried to resolve this directly with the clinic before posting here, but being blocked from my own portal left me with no other way to make my experience known. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves the hygiene standards and communication with patients moving forward. Lastly, if you get anything done here, please make sure to have them check your insurance first. She is the best, smartest most caring doctor ever…read more I have Hashimoto hypothyroidism and was "treated" by a doctor in San Diego for a year, who was supposed to be the best, but I could barely get out of bed, was in constant pain, gaining weight like crazy, loosing my hair, bad skin, brain fog etc = miserable! That doctor would spend 10 minutes at a time with me and didn't care about my quality of life, he actually told me right before Christmas that, this would be my life the rest of my days and nothing could be done for me. After crying for a few days, I started looking for a new doctor near and far and found dr. Mathur at Cedar Sinai (my old neighborhood in LA). She was so sweet and spent a lot of time with me, took new blood tests, adjusted medicine and asked lots of questions, a total 180 from my prior doctor, she gave me hope. My husband and I had also been trying to get pregnant for 3 years and had done IVF and was told the chances were slim and that I would never be able to conceive on my own. 1 month after seeing dr. Mathur the 1st time, I felt better, easier getting out of bed and I got pregnant! I unfortunately miscarried, but got pregnant again a year later and now have a beautiful 2 year old boy. I have enough energy to take care of him, I have lost the weight, my hair is back and an able to function. I credit all of that to dr. Mathur, she gave me my life back - and my biggest dream a baby. She is super responsive, when my father was dying in Europe and I needed a medicine refill over night before flying to say goodbye, her and her staff made it happen! I wouldn't know what to do without her, I happily drive 3 hours to see her - love her!

I received a biopsy while insured under my HMO, but my primary care physician struggled to answer questions about my results and didn't see it fit to refer me to an Endo, despite a history of thyroid cancer in my family, diabetes, PCOS, and debilitating fatigue for over a year. I switched over to a PPO to ensure I received better care in the future, and then this office told me I couldn't have an appointment unless I have a referral, regardless of insurance coverage. So frustrating. Also, person on phone is less than friendly. If this woman were speaking to my patients, I would off board her. Unfortunate that red tape is creating barriers for getting good healthcare. I just want to see a doctor who cares. I'm a mom and a professional, I don't have time to waste finding a new primary to hopefully get a referral. If you're lucky enough to get an appointment here, I hear she's wonderful but I'm rating a 2 for the protocols.

She's really great and the staff is super polite and crazy clean office. If she were in any other practice, she'd have 5 stars and still be my PCP. Sadly, I had a very poor experience with the Managing partners billing practices to the level where it caused me to question whether they prioritize patient health and safety over a chance to bill more $ and is the sole reason I left the practice. Specifically, I rely on regular monthly medications and for some reason the RX rarely if ever comes with refills. Which by 2022 standards should be fine, the pharmacy usually digitally or by phone requests a refill as soon as I'm out and the next time I need one *poof* I have a refill waiting for me. Curiously in April of 2022, the managing partner Dr. Ali (whom I've never seen) charged my insurance $150 for an office visit on a day I was never there. When I called to inquire, and after 2 weeks of getting the run-around from the office manager Michael, I was finally told that they now code refills as office visits - but they've agreed to waive the deductible and zero out my balance as a "one time courtesy", but going forward the policy was to charge $150 office visit for any and all refills. Given its a monthly medicine and they don't make a habit of writing scrips with refills for some reason - seems like a billing practice to syphon an additional $1800/year which is such a shameless money grab it made me lose faith in the healthcare I'd be provided. In the future I would question any recommended test, check-up, procedure or lab work not knowing if it was medically necessary or just another opportunity to bill my insurance provider. Their billing practices may be within the bounds of the acceptability for the insurance provider, but is enough to make me lose faith in the office culture of prioritizing patient health over billing opportunities. Bummer.

Dr. R figured out in minutes that the crippling pain from 3 weeks ago that lasted for days was an ovarian cyst that burst. She also placed a tube placed in my urethra, performed a Pap smear, ultrasound etc. She said I definitely have overactive bladder and incontinence. She applauded the diet I'm following since 3 weeks ago - no caffeine, chocolate, citrus, spices, tomatoes, honey and raw onions. She also took swabs from my bladder and she's having them tested. I could have an infection and there's a possibility my hubby has it and could be passing it back and forth. We both took antibiotics for ureaplasm - present in urine of 80% of sexually active people. Stuck with replenishing my gut. Yeast infection and a $900 bill for tests!!
