Getting started for a pleasant wine tasting!

Great Wine selection! Chardonnay, Cab! Did NOT disappoint. We will be back! The owner Patrease is great!

This place has been on my list for a while and I was finally able to make a visit. Please be advised, the parking lot is small. If you are unable to get a spot in the lot, I am sure there's parking on the residential street. The inside is also fairly small but there's an outdoor patio with more seating. I kind of expected different from this place but thats not to say I didn't enjoy. While I love drinking wine, I wouldn't say I'm a pro wine drinker so having recommendations from the bartender was a plus. I decided on the flight with four wines on the "sweeter" side. Each are 2oz pours and the price is based on the kind of wine. Depending on the kind of the chosen, a flight is around $16. They have a food menu that includes cheeses, salads, pizzas and others but since I wasn't hungry, I didn't order anything. They also have a Wine Club that offers a variety of perks from discounts to free tastings. I'd like to revisit to see how the food as well as considering joining the club. This should probably be something mentioned while there. I am only aware of the club from visiting their website.

Accommodated me and my friends (party of 8) with short notice. They were very hospitable and pleasant babe wine was good and the food was good. The owner was very kind and came to check in on us. Our waiter was knowledgeable, attentive and pleasant.

A cute little date night spot. If you're looking for a local wine bar this is the place to go, great customer service. Just remember to put on mosquito repellent if you decide to sit on the patio. Pasta was ok, the chicken was a bit dry. The flat bread is good though I would get that again.

I enjoyed my visit to Wine Sensation. The atmosphere was wonderful. I found it to be a nice chill spot to hangout with my friend and talk. The noise level was perfect. The cheese plate was delicious. We also ordered the spinach dip. Which was sooo good. Will definitely come back. The prices are just right.

We really liked it here. Hadn't explored Round Rock before, so we were pleasantly surprised to find the downtown area and its chill vibe. Wine Sensation has a rustic feel. We arrived shortly before closing. Since it's a tapas sort of place, and it was so late, the restaurant was mostly empty, except for a group of women at a table inside and a couple outside on the deck. The outside deck is spacious with tables and string lights for a calming feel. Soft music plays in the background. My only suggestion would be to add a row of tall bushes to block the view and sound of the street and make it more homey. We sat outside after eating but enjoyed our meal at the bar. I was put off by the bartender, at first, as he seemed kind of aloof. But he warmed up quickly. Games, like Rubiks Cube, line the bar. Entertaining while you wait for your food. Though we couldn't figure our game out and had to ask the bartender for help. The husband, who knows way more about wine than I do, said the wy list was good. I just liked that were wines from all over the world, because I tend to like ones from South America and Europe best. We order cheese and meat plates, bacon-wrapped dates and a salad, all delicious and fresh. We planned to go to dinner afterward, but serving sizes were big enough that we were no longer hungry. Wine Sensation is extremely dog-friendly (love!) So much so that they have a Doggie Meal on the menu, allow dogs on the patio and on certain days, dogs eat free. One of our favorite places since coming to Austin.

A little bit ago I went to wine sensation with a friend to a complementary wine tasting. When we walked into the establishment, it seemed to be a bit cramped. We waited about 4 minutes to be greeted by someone at the front. We advised the staff member who greeted us that we were there for a wine tasting and were taken outside to the back of the establishment to an area with wooden picnic tables and seating. Once seated outside, we were greeted by a server within 10 minutes. We advised the waiter that we were there for the wine tasting and he pointed us to what seemed to be a rolling bar where a member of the staff was providing a sampling of three different wines. The "sommelier" seemed to be somewhat knowledgeable about the wines but left many questions unanswered. After the short tasting, my guest and I went back to the picnic table where we were seated and ordered the bacon-wrapped dates, bruschetta and a humus, pita and carrot plate. Overall, the tapas menu to accompany the wine is a bit lacking and the vine selection and sampling is a half-step up from HEB (actually HEB has more vino).

That has yet to happen, but I did enjoy a nice weekend brunch there with my girlfriend and a friend from work. The bar is super comfortable and cozy. It's such a relaxing and comfortable spot. It's not perfectly designed for a dining experience, but it's greatly shaped and laid out for a bar. My girlfriend and I shared their sizable French press coffee to start. 30 oz of the Lodestar Blend from Texas Coffee Traders. To eat, I ordered the Bagel Breakfast Sandwich, which is your classic everything bagel with egg, bacon, cheddar, and mayo. I added their potatoes as well. The sandwich was good and flavorful, while the potatoes were decent. They could've used a little salt, which I didn't see on the table and never bothered to ask about, so that's on me. My girlfriend got their Avocado Toast with an egg on top. Can never go wrong with some avocado on glorious sourdough bread. Lastly, my friend got their Dutch Baby Pancake, which I tried a bite of, and whew, what a delight. Ruby's bar does a great job at making you feel comfortable. It really helps generate a good conversation on a Sunday morning, just from how relaxed the atmosphere feels. I'm sold on this spot, and I love how tucked away it is, though still close to the downtown area of Round Rock. RIYL: A lil brunch at a cute lil spot.

Ambiance is very nice, "upscale"…read more The staff was very pleasant!! The hostess was very friendly. Mauricio and Nick (his first day) were great. Nick was very attentive. The manager, Cameron (?), provided a customer friendly resolution )I'll explain later). Thank you all! Now, the food! Alcohol: 1. Love potion. My Ma would never send something back, but I have, do, and will. For $11, the drink was a complete joke!!! The glass size and liquid amount was worth $6 at most. *I sent it back! Not for $11!! Appetizers: 1. Onion soup was delicious 2. The fried green tomatoes were different, but in an excellent way. There were three SMALL fried GT topped with bell peppers, sauce, and some other meat (?). It was so good!!!! It left you wanting more! Entrees: 1. Eggplant pasta dish. It was seasoned well. Not enough eggplant for an eggplant lover. It did have tomatoes and olives mixed, with added olive oil. This dish was good. The MOD provided additional eggplant. Ty - It made the dish perfect. 2. Redfish pontchartrain w/boudin balls and collard greens. I was utterly shocked that the greens were so good! The greens, with a mixture of sauce, was under the fish. One grilled fillet, cut in half was served. All of it was good. The "boudin balls" Totally not boudin balls, my opinion and taste buds.....more like fried ground beef. It was good, but if you've had BOUDIN BALLS, you'd be slightly disappointed due to expectations. *I only ate one ball. 3. Steak frittes. I ordered my frittes, medium rare and substituted the fries for the gouda mac. I don't think french fries is a good side for the dish. Management served my first dish, explaining the steak was cooked well done, but they wanted to make sure I had SOMETHING to eat while they cook another steak. This impressed me and I am NOT easily impressed. The gouda mac was plain, but for 'plain' it was ok. I wouldn't order it again. The medium rare steak fritters were actually cooked to a PERFECT medium. I ate it and it was great! It was well seasoned and juicy!! **Because it still wasn't cooked to my preference, the entree was discounted by the manager. **I'm serving my fur baby, Pearl, the well done steak. It's her 12th birthday month and she'd like the treat! If you are a big eater, like myself, you need to order a three course meal or two entrees!! **See pictures! Don't forget to like! Ty!
