Linda and Ella gave my husband and I an amazing Swedish Couples Massage w/ Lymphatic Drainage. This…read morenew location just opened directly across the street from their original location. This was our first time as customers of theirs, so we don't have much to compare it to, but the new location is beautiful. The decor is bright and welcoming, and the treatment rooms are cozy and relaxing. We mentioned a Groupon offer and they honored it in-store, but we did get upsold on a "Healing Treatment" that cost us $30 more each. It was supposed to include an 8- minute foot soak (we soaked for 4 minutes, I timed it), calming chimes to help us relax, and the Lymphatic Drainage portion of the massage. This didn't extend our massage length, but that was understood. The foot soak set-up is somewhat of a work-in-progress, if you ask me. We sat on adorable, furry stools placed precariously just inside the doorway of our treatment room. My husband rested against the wall while I sat in the middle of the room with no back support. It made more sense, to me, that we should've been sat against the opposite wall. The water was warm and felt good, but the door was open the entire time and we didn't get our full 8 minutes, which made it less than relaxing. Our full-body massages ended 4 minutes early, but I feel that this is pretty normal for this type of "spa"/ massage parlor. We both thoroughly enjoyed the Eucalyptus aromatherapy - you are able to choose a scent of your own. The hot stones were nice as well. They also used what I believe was a disposable, heated eye mask and a weighted heat pad that was laid atop our tummies. We've had lots of massages, but use of these items were new to us. We left feeling relaxed and sleepy! P.S. Parking in the area was the typical, Chicago-area nightmare, despite what I was told when I called to inquire. Had we known this, we would've Ubered or caught a Lyft! P.P.S. One more thing, paying in cash saves you a 3% card processing fee. You're welcome!

This is a review specifically for their manicure and pedicure service…read more I love the hotel & have stayed here many times. This time, I decided to schedule a mani & pedi at the end of my week stay as an added treat. When I tell you that I was shocked by my experience here, I mean it. There was nothing luxurious about this at all. And these are absolute top-tier prices for their services. They took me down the stairs after I checked in and I waited in this dark area as people were randomly walking back and forth from the pool area. A woman escorted me into this insanely small room (it looks like a closet) where there were 2 pedicure chairs right next to each other then 2 manicure stations across from that. I truly was shocked. I wanted to leave. Their website and spa detail information is so insanely misleading. This small room they cram you into has no windows, and is at the end of a dark hall. Forget that we are still dealing with the pandemic and there is zero social distancing. The two nail techs that were working were lovely but so obviously under appreciated & overworked. Which is beyond sad. My pedicure was ok but my manicure was the worst I've ever received. I wanted a French tip and the tech haphazardly painted each tip with a regular brush. Not one was the same. I also walked out and came right back to get some nail polish remover to clean up my own hands as I had white polish all over my skin. Just insane. The receptionist was appalled when I showed her my nails so she said she would take it off my bill ($65) was removed but I still paid over $150 plus tip for my mani and pedi. In my personal option, they should close down the manicure and pedicure options of the spa. It is not a luxury, high end experience. Quite the opposite. This was not a great way to end our stay here & it put such a bad taste in my mouth. I won't ever come back to the spa for any service at all.

I recently spent 2 days in the city of Chicago on a self care weekend. The evening before my…read moredeparture and to close out my weekend, I treated myself to a massage. Staying at my Airbnb (a high rise overlooking the city and lakefront) I had no intention to drive to a masseuse. Rather, I wanted the massage therapist to come to me. Given the space I was calling "home" for 2 days was simply spectacular and relaxing in itself, it was a no brainer. Since I'm not familiar with masseuses in Chicagoland, I went right to Yelp. A few names came up. Erica responded the soonest. My, I'm SO PLEASED she did! What a gem! It was a Monday and I messaged at 11 am to schedule a same day "in home" visit. Quite frankly, it was somewhat last minute! Not only did Erica respond promptly, she made sure she was available! My appointment was officially scheduled for 6 pm the same day. So I'll cut to the chase...if you're in need of a massage, or are looking to give an incredible gift...look no further. This gal is the REAL DEAL. I filled out a bit of paperwork prior to her arrival in order to better assist her with my needs, past history, aches problem areas etc. Heated table....warm blanket...incredibly relaxing. It's been two days and I still feel so loose and relaxed. I suspect I'll be booking in a more regular basis. Side note: Erica even asked if I wanted her to do a little video as many like to post on social media for content as well. She just seemed to have it all together. Definitely a fabulous quality and a welcomed one for a small business owner. Kind, knowledgeable and immensely skilled at her craft. I was truly impressed on so many levels. A true hidden gem! Thank you Erica! I'll be booking again!!
