The last one I went to got raided by the police about 2 weeks after and closed down... BUT, princess is the real deal! I absolutely love to be able to call and get a last minute appointment. My boyfriend and I each had a great Thai Bodywork session here last Saturday. My only complaint is that I made an appointment for 2 people at the same time, but was told upon arrival that they only have one bodywork room and so we would have to have back-to-back sessions. Luckily we live close by and this didn't cause too much of a hassle for us, but others in the same situation would be stuck spending an hour waiting for the other person in their party to have their bodywork session. In Chi on business and my back went funky like it does and began researching any legit thai massage places----I'm a big fella and the yoga-like twisting and stretching and pressure is my favorite. Scheduling for 330pm was easy. Arrived and greeted friendly, I'd scheduled 2 hour for $140. Shown to large room near front door with mat and laid face down. "Angie" a young 24-26 yo Thai woman came in and did a fairly nice job. Very friendly and while not among the best, was decent for an American version of Thai massage, It helped. These ladies are absolutely legit. I just got back from my first massage, decided for the Thai Therapeutic as I wasn't feeling too active and being pulled around...but it still did the trick. I am floored at how well they know literally every pressure point, muscle connection, nerve ending and anything else that needs to be prodded and rubbed down into human jell-o. Thai massage is not for the wimpy types, you have to be prepared for a bit of soreness and a couple squeaks when they hit that hidden tiny muscle you never knew existed! They also have regular types of massage with a table, and I'm sure is just as excellent. Overall quite certain I've found my new go-to for massage in Chicago and never turning back. Amy worked on me today...(actually she pummeled me into silly putty) but she really sets the benchmark for amazing Thai work. The day of the first snow this year, I slipped on the ice in a parking lot and twisted my back. I was hoping that the resulting back pain would just go away by itself, but after a week, it was actually getting much worse. I called and talked to Melody who suggested Deep Tissue work. I came in and walked out feeling much better. My back only had a slight bit of discomfort left. Some days later, it started feeling like it was tightening up a little so I scheduled a follow up appointment. After the follow up, my back has not only returned to what I feel was normal but it seems even better yet. During both sessions Melody concentrated mostly on my back, but also worked on my shoulders, neck and head which she apparently found needed attention. This ended up addressing the tension headaches that I've been getting this past year, a surprise benefit I was not expecting. Melody is totally awesome! I have been to a number of massage places in the city and have found a handfull of good therapists, but last week i visited Princess Spa and I think I found my new home. I saw Linda for a massage and walked away feeling at peace with my crazy world! I had driven by this place a few times and decided it was worth a try as I live in the area. I liked it because the place was clean, quite nicely decorate, and again, convenient. Linda used her bodywork skills to break down a few tension spots on my body, and then get me to calm down and relax. I didnt do stretching because I didnt want that at that point. I was in the middle of a meeting at work so stressful that my back and neck started to ache painfully from tensing up. I immediately jumped on yelp to see what was nearby that could potentially have availability today. I'd passed Princess Spa a few times on the bus and saw the 5-star rating. I called and BAM they got me in an hour later. I've never had a Thai style massage and I am hooked. Melody was amazing, she was so friendly and checked multiple times to be sure she wasn't hurting me. She packs a pressure punch but it was because it NEEDED to happen, the knots in my neck had been building for months and I needed a serious massage jackhammer taken to them. Mine wasn't on the mat, but I'll have to try that next. She did stretch me on the table and the cracks I heard were worth the price of the massage alone. Good massage. However, I have no idea who did it as my masseuse didn't introduce herself and didn't seem to speak great English. My main complaint is they charge $3 to use the credit card. If you choose to tip afterward, they will add another $3 to the tab. I ended up paying $6 to use my credit card. I will not be back just because of this. Good massage. Questionable as to how clean the establishment really was as when I walked in to the room there was multiple hairs on the massage table. Do not expect a comfortable table with appropriate cover up as the as they use a thin layer of paper similar to those browned on a doctors examination table. Once the massage was over there in layer of paper shreds. There was no towel underneath the paper just the same type of cover up that looked like a cheap motel cover. I live right by O'Hare, so there no way in the world I would ever found this spa myself. a friend of mine who went there before told me about the place and the price wasn't that much at all. I went there on a Saturday sometime in the afternoon. The place was just about the right size. I got an hour of "THAI" body massage from a therapist, her name was ANGIE. She was funny and performed the best relaxing Thai massage I ever had. The price was $70.00 and of course I gave her an extra $50.00 for her tips. I didn't have my massage here so I cant review on that. My rating and review is based on customer service. So I called to book an appointment for a couple massage with my boyfriend for our anniversary. On their website it states it would be a side by side experience so that was what we expected when showed up. We were greeted very friendly upon arrival, very nice people. Unfortunately we were informed that they dont have couple room in their facility at all which we weren't happy with finding out the last minute on our anniversary. The staff apologized for not asking me on the phone if I wanted a couple room. All and all, we left without a massage and I was very unhappy then 5 mins later I received a call from another spa place asking us if we were still lookibg for a couple massage and they do have couple room as I wanted. So we drove there and the owner told us her friend (at the original spa where we just left) called her about us since they felt bad. I appreciate that the staffs made the effort to correct the mistake and make it right for me. So i want to give them a good review. read more

I had been seeking a new go-to massage therapist after losing my previous go to gal at River North Spa. I've had many sports-related injuries in the past and I still stay very physically active now where occasionally I am needing to fix Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness after a particularly strenuous Trainer session or whatever. So for me, finding that trusted therapist who gets to know your body, your aches, your pains, the type of pressure you need etc, it's like finding your trusted Private GP or go-to barber for example. I am not sure I can adequately express just how thrilled I am to have found Princess Spa and Amy in particular. So far, I have only had the Thai Massage here and frankly can't imagine there is anything else that would be remotely better. Having tried as many spas I have, you get to know within the first 5 minutes if you've walked into rinky-dink joint doing just enough to stay open or if it's a properly invested quality establishment. Princess Spa is immaculate. On Amy, picture any person you know who is really good at whatever it is they do as a profession and multiply that by 10, and that's Amy for you. I have absolutely no idea how someone as petite as she is can have as strong yet gentle hands as she does. Whether you have parts on you that require very strong deep tissue attention or a more sensitive touch, Amy is just spot on every time. And by the end of your very first session together, it feels like she has read up on what your needs are so the next time you come in, she knows exactly what to do without you even having to tell her. I have walked into the spa literarily creaking and cracking and body parts practically falling apart and Amy flat out fixes everything to the extent that you feel like you came into the spa, swapped in your bad old body parts and walked out with a brand new body that's humming and purring and ready to handle anything. And the relief is like immediate! And in spite of the obvious language barrier limitations, Amy has such a wonderful personality and such a great warm engaging attitude that you just know you've found that go-to masseuse you've been looking for. It is dead obvious that she was born to this and she really seems to enjoy her craft, constantly seeking to find new creative ways to fix those muscle ailments. Honestly, I was tempted to not write this review purely for those bad natural tendencies to keep a really good thing to yourself lest she/they get too many customers and suddenly you struggle to get an appointment :) But Amy doesn't deserve that and it wouldn't be fair for me to not share the super high praise she's earned. I haven't had anyone else at Princess Spa but I also hear great things about Melody and the others from people who have had them. I can only speak for Amy and can say unequivocally that you are not going to find a better masseuse, period. She's fantastic and am glad to have found my new very regular go-to therapist for hopefully a very long time to come! read more

I didn't know what expect and it's definitely not your traditional massage at the spa but I went in with a migraine and came out feeling great! They work and stretch every muscle.
