Those things are a slipping hazard. -If there's construction around a basket, move it to another location. Hole 16 is a mess and the short position already exists. -One or two days a month where the rest of the property is open to disc golfers on the weekends. Cart rentals available to those rounds as well. -The last couple of times I've come to play, it's become more apparent that the new ownership is going to eventually do away with the DG course. The pro shop is desolate and hasn't been restocked in some time... -Course maintenance has diminished to near nothing. It's in poor form. -There was a brief time where it felt like the price increase was being met with a decent amount of course maintenance. That time has come and gone. The utter negligence to the disc golf side of the business feels deliberate at this point. Clearly you guys aren't maintaining relationships with disc golf vendors, aren't maintaining the course, and have jacked up the price to weed out the player base. Just pull the baskets and sell them off to those who want them. For what used to be the premiere Disc Golf course in the greater Houston area, this is an embarrassment.

Generally safe just be mindful of your surrounding always. Anytime,anywhere. This really is a nice park. Lots of greenery,really nice during the cooler temperature months. Small playground area,lots of tables and benches spread out all over for seating,covered basketball court,public swimming pool. And of course what stands out the most is the pretty large Disc Golf course. The Disc Golf course takes up the majority of the park. I've never played before. Maybe I should give it a shot. The one thing I truly wish this park has was some kind of walking trail or pathway to follow. But I understand the primary focus is the Disc Golf course. You can still take a nice walk just kind of create your own path. And I try to stay out of the way of the disc golf course that's being occupied to avoid being in the way or hit by a disc haha.

You do have very little parking yet there is always some space for you. You can walk the entire course which is about 1.5 miles or make the half way track instead. Both options are great views of the lake and plenty of little ducks in full relaxation mode. You even have a few out there doing some catch and release fishing. One extremely great thing they have here is a full disc golf field located within all this track area. I think very few people know about it as I can count the times with one hand that I've seen people out there taking advantage of this extremely nice park. It also has a play area for the kiddos to climb and run around. It's also great for walking your dog with plenty of bins to pick up your poop and dump it. I visited this park in order to volunteer at the annual Easter Egg Hunt Festival.I The festival was…read moregoing to start at 10;30am.I arrived around 8;30am. I saw a lot of people playing tennis. I arrived the festival venue.I started preparing for the festival. I put candy in eggs. Some people said that this is the largest Easter Egg Hunt festival in Texas. At least, I saw countless eggs. It seemed to me that the most volunteers were from churches. They were nice. They didn't say anything to me when I ate candy.LOL.I ate only 2 or 3 candy. At 10;30am, kids started running for hunting eggs. We needed more eggs. Again, I started putting candy in eggs. Around 11 am, a volunteer manager asked me to wear a Easter Bunny costume and play with kids. I put costume. I was excited.But It was heavy and hot! Some kid came to me." Bunny. I can get candy for you'. How nice he was! But it was too hot and heavy. I was almost down.I saw some word" He( Jesus Christ) is risen". The word encouraged me.I started working again. Another volunteer manager came to me.Mark, " Please pick up trash".I walked around the park.I saw a lot of people enjoying carnival, music and egg hunts. It was a great park and festival. A man at McDonald booth asked me to clean the booth. he told me "I will give you some free food". I cleaned Mac's tent.It was true I got something, but it says' Buy Egg muffin, get one free". This was my real Easter Egg Hunt!. Around 2pm, I left the festival.People praised my hardwork.I saw people who were cooking BBQ. I asked them " Are you selling BBQ?" They said yes.I bought BBQ for $7. That was the best Texas BBQ! I love BBQ! I will definitely return the festival in 2015!

As some others have said, it is a private Kingwood residence park and you must have a K sticker to park there, you can park out on the road and walk in though. There is a boat ramp and lots of spots to fish, a long wooden pier runs up the inlet, there is a pier next to the boat ramp, too. The forest area has a disc golf course and there are soccer fields across the pedestrian bridge. There are also several spots with playground equipment for the kids, picnic tables, grills as well as some covered pavillions, but you need to reserve these in advance for a picnic or party. The park opens at sunrise and closes at sunset, there is an electronic gate, if you get back from a boating excursion late, the gate will open for you when you pull up. There are snakes, some poisonous as well as the occasional alligator. Lots of birds for birders so bring your binoculars or a camera.
