Awesome food! The cook makes a great cheese steak sub & breakfast sandwiches. Only downfall is they close the kitchen in the afternoon!

Last night I was going to fix it for dinner when I opened it the ham has a very thick slimy and gooey. It had a nicked sticker on it so I thought they would take it back without a receipt, it was under $7. So I went in and spoke with the manager told him about it first thing he asked for is a receipt, no I don't but it has your pricing sticker you can see I purchased it here. He wouldn't even look at it just wanted a receipt, said he could look it up if I used a charge card. I shop here a few times a week, I hardly ever purchase meat ahead of time to use later except for bacon I get 5lbs at a time and meat like the packaged ham steaks or whole yams that have a longer use by date for planned ahead meals , I stop in pickup what ever meat I'm fixing for dinner that night. This is the second time since this store has opened up that a meat I purchased from here had an issue with it and this was the first time I was asked for a receipt. I've been shopping at a Nicks since I was a kid my grandmother use to take me to the one in Clinton once a week, then when I started working I would stop in Nicks of Clinton to get a sub for lunch. It was really nice when the one opened in St-Charles off of Rt 5 and Mattawoman-Beantown Rd. I started purchasing meat for my own family and then this one opened in Calvert made it even more convenient to shop at. I guess I'll have to learn to take a picture of my receipt from here in case this happens again or I can just continue to be a loyal shopper here and just take the loss and move on. I'm not going to stop shopping here since this is only the 2nd time getting a bad product for as long as I've been a shopping at a Nick's.

Did they tell the doctor or I this fact, No. I had to call to see if it had been filled to find out this information. Which was more than a week after they received it. Giant does not fill narcotic perscriptions. I dont know what game Giant is playing but it is very unfair to the patients. If they dont carry certain perscriptions or if they are on back order. TELL EITHER THE PATIENTS OR THE DOCTORS! That way they can go elsewhere BEFORE their meds run out. I do not recommend taking your prescriptions there. I know I never will again!

Defiantly not the same style of friendly home style grocery and especially in the luncheon area that used to be Great! Purchased a tuna sandwich got back to work opened the sandwich so much tuna piled on the bread it was soggy and disgusting tossed it. Yesterday my sister and I purchase family size vegetable beef soup " we love it, usually but this time to much tomato stock no beef flavor, only a few pieces of beef and instead of peeled potoatoes like usual they were unpeeled cut in half different sized. Just not the good food we were used to. On another note...barely any item has prices from ice cream to bread/ rolls even milk no prices. Either purchase without the price it half to ask before buying at the cashier! So sad Miss the great market the grocery was as Bowens not as Bones. Infact now that I think about it the new name is all about bare Bones. The owners need to rethink and look into prices and food service area. Thanks.

I had to get them to send more people out there and finally determined that the furnace needed to be replaced. I should have gone with a different company at this point but instead purchased a new furnace through them. Two weeks later they installed it. Still no heat. Their management went over there and the tenant reported that they blew up part of the new furnace because it was installed improperly. When I spoke to the manager, he said "luckily no one else was standing there." They replace it again two weeks later... still no heat. They went out again and finally restored heat. Two months after the prepaid regularly scheduled maintenance identified the issue. Management is terrible. Customer Service takes forever. No one at this company will call you back. Good luck getting anything documented. Stay far away from this Company. No one should have to go through what I went through.

I am writing this review to properly address the lack of integrity and dishonorable service I encountered with the Southern Maryland Oil (SMO) company. In short, SMO left me with an empty tank, rather than a full one, and is charging me for the additional fuel and service calls that were required to address and correct their mistakes. Here are the details . . . In January 2011, I contacted SMO to top-off the propane tank that supplies my gas fire place, which was working well at the time. A few days later, when we went to light the fire for the first time since SMO "filled" the tank, it would not light - the tank was empty - only SMO employees had touched my propane tank and gas fire system. When I called SMO, they sent a service representative to my house who advised that they could send a technician to my house ($135 minimum) and, if the system had a leak or was malfunctioning in some other manner, I would bear the expense of the lost fuel and the necessary repairs. If the technician could find no problem and/or leaks in the system, SMO would be responsible for the service call and refilling the tank. While I agreed that was a fair response from SMO, I could not (at the time) afford to pay for costly repairs in the event that the problem was my responsibility. We closed the main valve to the tank while the SMO representative was at my house, and we never opened the tank again. I contacted SMO to let them know that we could not afford to investigate the problem at that time. In December 2011, Christmas was approaching, and we were excited to get the fireplace working again. My wife called SMO Customer Service and explained the situation described above - SMO Customer Service acknowledged the issue and said that their notes (from January 2011) indicated the gauge on my tank was malfunctioning (rather than the tank being empty). SMO sent a service technician to my house who determined that the tank was empty and needed to be refilled in order to determine if there were any other problems/leaks with the system. After SMO refilled the tank, they sent a service technician to my house - the SMO technician determined that the fireplace worked perfectly, and he found NO leaks in the system. With no leaks or malfunctions, it was clear that the SMO individual who "filled" my tank in January 2011 was to blame for the empty tank. Yet, despite numerous calls to SMO customer service, SMO is only willing to remove the cost of one customer service call ($135) and offer me a $25 credit. They are still charging me $135 for the second service call and $400 for the propane to re-fill the tank - despite the fact that it was their employee that mistakenly emptied the tank. While SMO can offer no other reason as to how the tank became empty in a few days despite our not using the fireplace, they will not accept responsibility for their mistake. Despite knowing the circumstances described above, SMO sent a technician to my house, are charging me more than $500, and clearly never intended to honor their responsibilities.
