Updating my review now that it has been changed to a Rona a few months ago…read more When this store was branded as Ace Hardware, it was a great experience. I had everything I needed easily accessed. I seldomly, if ever, needed to travel further for the hardware or tools I was looking for. Quality items at a reasonable price. The moment it switched to a Rona, I started experiencing issues. My first purchase as a Rona had a problem with quality and I needed to return the product. I was giving this review some time, hoping that things would improve. But I haven't had great luck. The inventory availability and selection just don't seem what they used to be. The management of the store told me that their affiliation with Rona gives them access to better product range, since Rona is more Hardware and Ace is more agricultural. But I think this store is trending to become a typical Rona... Which would be lower quality items at average prices, and low availability of products. On top of that... Ownership and staff are the same, and they are still the same cheerful helpful bunch, however the store seems to be very messy and dirty all the time. Definitely not as welcoming and navigable. I wonder why?

I purchased some carpet for my parents rental unit and had drop by in person to see what they had…read moreon sale. I consulted with one of the sales staff and determined that I would purchase a beige carpet and made the purchase on the spot. I asked them to hold it for my carpet installer to pick it up at a later date. Approximately 2 weeks later my installer picked it up and installed it. When I went to see the finished job I was shocked to find it was the wrong carpet. I went to the store to let them know that they had sold me the wrong carpet and showed them my receipt and the picture I took of the carpet I bought in their store previously. The staff were shocked as well and said that their manager will call me to discuss and hopefully fix this. As such, I have been there one more time after I did not hear from this manager and again was told he would contact me. Well, I have yet to hear from him. I am a realtor and I will warn my clients about this particular store if they require any flooring after this experience.

Thank you Kamran Anwar, our amazing carpet installer. The square footage that was initially quoted after measuring, was off by 30 square feet from our calculations and this is with a 20% overage. We found a 279 sq ft roll that matched our room and size. Ian confirmed with Kamran the square footage and stated it would be close. We purchased the carpet and had it scheduled for installation in two days. On the day of installation, we received a call from Ian who stated the carpet was incorrectly measured and short by 12 square feet. Ian planned to give us a smaller carpet end that was slightly off color but had the same pattern for free. This was acceptable as it was going into the closet. Kamran was professional and personable. He somehow made the original carpet fit into the bedroom, hallway and closet. You cannot see the seams. We appreciate Karman's and Ian's efforts to satisfy our needs. Thanks, Rich

Terrible and disorganized service…read more Wasted 3 days. Showed up 4 hours late for our move. Blamed a new girl in the office for over booking. Showed up late and left early next day - only did partial job "Promised" to come and "stay till they were done ". Showed up on day 3 ( for what was supposed to be a 1 day job) and left at noon with at least 6 items untouched. Booking lady ( Angela) actually hung up on me. ( don't think the worker guys are the problem ) Regardless , i won't use them again. Rude and disorganized ( but guys on day 1 and day 3 worked hard - despite being 4 hours late on day 1)

Disorganized and Chaotic. - 8 bungo boxes loaded in the truck in 20 mins = not quick - carelessly throw the brand new sofa cushions by the dirty elevator floor, without forethought to shrink wrap = inexperience - tracking dirty muddy feet all over the living room and bedroom floor = disrespectful - Loading antique hutch and nightstand while it teeter totters on the dolly, causing damage to our hutch = no regards to safety of your items. There is no excuse for incompetence, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to have common sense when moving. ie, load the entire elevator, instead of making single trips with one dolly, Wrap furniture with proper padding/shrink wrap, and for crying out loud don't stomp your mud soaked shoes in people's living room floor!

Home Depot had a lacklustre selection so I thought I would stop in at San Cedar and see what they had. The customer service there was absolutely fantastic. I was assisted by the owner who helped me assemble my shopping list of different sized planks. He even went through their off-cuts to find some of the smaller pieces I needed at a discount price. Overall the prices seemed fair and I will happily go back to buy materials for my next project.

We used his company a few years back to have some carpet and floors installed. We had an issue with his contractor, Rodney and his crew, that was sent over to us. They installed the carpets flawlessly but ruined the flooring causing us thousands of dollars in repairs. After several tradesmen said "Who did this to your floor?", we wrote a review of our experience with Rodney. It hadn't mattered how long it had been since the floor had been installed, Ed came over immediately to asses the floors and offered to get them fixed. We highly recommended Rug and Remnants for Ed and his kind, knowledgeable and courteous staff but would not recommend Rodney as a contractor

We contacted the developer who told us AMC supplied the carpet and would have the specs. Another flooring company told us since the development is 4 years old the flooring could still be in stock. However, when I called, the man on the phone told me the flooring was discontinued and refused to give any other information. I find that highly unlikely since this was a recent, large development contract for them. Other companies were eager to try to help us match our flooring so this was surprising and disappointing. Would not recommend based on this experience.
