After a few months of changing my mind as to what I wanted to do with my floor I finally made up my mind. If I was Maureen I would have thought, "Oh God here he comes again" when I walked into the store. After Maureen came to my place and did all the measuring she emailed me a quote the next day and thanked me for allowing her to come to my home. ice.Really? No need to thank me but thats so nice! She walked me through the install process with their counterparts Windmill Flooring and I have to say the two day install all be it a little stressful for my 4 paw wonder was pretty much flawless. My career has, and still is based on customer service which seems to be disappearing these days but if Maureen is a reflection on the rest of your staff then you guys arent going anywhere anytime soon! Big shout out to Hamid from Windmill your an amazing guy....you were amazing and also had a great suggestion as to what to do to comfort my cat while doing the baseboard install. Jordans Flooring (Burnaby) installed flooring in our apartment in 2017. The workmanship was poor,…read moreand even after an attempted fix, issues remained. Transition pieces were not properly glued down, baseboard nails were not set flush, and the caulking was poorly done--problems that are still visible today. I lived with these issues for years because fixing them once was not enough and I did not want to deal with the issue again. The manager at the time did offer me a partial refund so I didn't ask for a 2nd fix. In hindsight I should have. Recently, I re-engaged Jordans because I need to redo my flooring. Engaging with the current store manager I was told in person that we would be "taken care of" and "hooked up" because of the 2017 experience. What followed was a 10¢/sqft price reduction (about $55 total). When I raised this marginal discount, the alternative offered was removing recommended services of leveling and voiding warranty. This process wasted significant time and did not rebuild confidence with Jordan's. We chose another contractor.

I should preface this review by saying that I chose this company based on the "google" reviews…read morewhere it received a high rating. Subsequently, I tried placing a review on their website and on google, but was unable to because it was blocked. All the reviews rate this company 5 stars, which is impossible and therefore these reviews are not legitimate. I had my floors installed a year and a half ago. I was really hesitant about writing a review on this company, but feel that I have a responsibility to other customers and let them know what our experience with this company was. We paid close to $10,000 to have our condo installed with a walnut engineered floor(approximately 700 sq/ft of a floor in a 1200 sq/ft unit. The installer did not speak English which made communications almost impossible. He placed a transition piece 2 inches in front of the bedroom door rather than under the door when closed. They tried telling me that this was the way everyone does it! I made them fix that spot, which made the installer very angry. My floor also had areas that needed grinding in order to flatten out the concrete, for which I paid almost a $1,000 extra. When they grinded my floor, they did not bother to cover any of my furniture, kitchen or bathrooms and concrete dust was found in every corner of the apartment including on my furniture. On one of the planks, the name "Stanley" was embedded into the surface of the wood (someone stepped on a tool and the force of their body weight stamped the Stanley logo into the wood. There were also numerous scratches, however, this was the least of my problems. Remember I said that the concrete needed leveling, well we found many areas with hollow spots where the planks actually moved up and down. A year later, they came in to try and fix this (about 2 months ago). The same installer, who still spoke very little English, started drilling holes in my floor and then injecting it with a compound. I thought that would do the trick. After not walking on it for 24 hours, about a week later, the boards started to make a cracking sound in the two areas he "said" he fixed. Now every time walk in those areas a loud cracking noise occurs. Oh, I forgot to tell you that they started work late November and said it would only take two weeks. We went to Hawaii for Christmas and when we came back, the job was still not finished. We had to get a hotel room at the Century Plaza for over a week while they tried finishing our suite. Each time we asked would finish, they would say ..."tomorrow...tomorrow". The floor was poorly installed and they left a hell of a mess. I now have to spend money to repair all the areas that have "sink holes" in them. Please really consider this company as a "stay away" as I had the worst experience of my life with this contractor. The guys are really nice and very trustworthy. We even left them keys to let themselves in and get started on the work while we were out. Why would I want my home as bright as a warehouse? Too boot, I was really made to feel like I screwed up and not offered any assistance to rectify the problem. Not even a store credit for future use, which i would have been grateful for. Instead the store owner/manager continued to say, listen, let me explain this to you ... We used his company a few years back to have some carpet and floors installed. We had an issue with his contractor, Rodney and his crew, that was sent over to us. They installed the carpets flawlessly but ruined the flooring causing us thousands of dollars in repairs. After several tradesmen said "Who did this to your floor?", we wrote a review of our experience with Rodney. It hadn't mattered how long it had been since the floor had been installed, Ed came over immediately to asses the floors and offered to get them fixed. We highly recommended Rug and Remnants for Ed and his kind, knowledgeable and courteous staff but would not recommend Rodney as a contractor

From start to finish, Mark Hussain helped up with choosing our carpet, installation and making a runner from our leftover carpet. Mark was very accommodating and updated us throughout the whole process and made sure our carpets were installed by "our schedule" as we had a vacation planned and wanted to get them installed before leaving. I found it on their website and went in to order it, a gentleman named Nick helped track one down (the last one!) and had it shipped in to the store for me to pick up. Its really good quality, Im chuffed at the savings and Nick was very kind sourcing it and helping carry it to my car.
