They level up the floor and my stairs nousings were incredible perfect install can't even tell if they are like photo shopped!! And resistance and quality material. Absolutely Floored did great job . I wanted to wait a while before posting a review to make sure I was still thrilled with my floors after I'd had time to wear them in. And yes indeed I am! The installer did a terrific job - he was earnest and methodical, cared deeply about doing his job properly, and made sure I knew the pros and cons of any decisions I was going to make. There was a lot of chaos on my end leading up to the installation, as when the installer took up the old floor, he discovered water underneath from an exterior leak. So the flooring install had to be delayed repeatedly over the next three months as my building management tried and failed to fix the leak. Absolutely Floored were patient and gracious about the delays, and were quick to schedule me back in once the walls were solid again and it was safe to lay the flooring. I've been living on the new floors for five months now and can't find a flaw in the work that was done. Everything is nice and crisp around the edges. The vinyl plank is great quality and feels lovely on the feet and seems to be able to hold up to a lot - it's nice not to worry about water damage. The leveling was also an extra challenge - the old floor was like a seesaw - and yet there's only two small pockets in the entire condo where you can feel any give at all. My only criticism was that the leveling cost ended up being considerably higher than the quote, but I also wasn't entirely surprised; I'd gotten another higher quote that had prepared me for that possibility. It's the biggest reno project I've ever had to deal with (okay, I'm a lightweight, but still...) and there were major ups and downs but I am very, very happy with the work that Absolutely Floored did and how they handled some tricky situations. We found a major problem with our floor, which was installed by this company. We implored the Manager to come assess the problem in person - no such luck. He insisted the cause of the problem was not his responsibility and that we were on our own. Since we were getting no help, we called in a Professional, who repaired the floor, and showed us how the original installation was done improperly. The Manager still refused to admit any wrongdoing and continued to blame the problem on some other unrelated reason. The Manager chased away any future business from us, from our friends, and our family members. read more

While big box stores offer a large selection of materials and services for homeowners, local specialty stores like Absolutely Floored offer more industry leading products with better personal service. Value, not price wins every time for me. That being said, after checking online reviews about the "Best Flooring stores" nearby our Burnaby townhouse, my wife and I made our choice: based on numerous high ratings and excellent Better Business Bureau approval, it had to be Absolutely Floored in Coquitlam. Our sales rep Steve took time to help us in the showroom to select a highly rated stain resistant yet plush carpet for use throughout our townhouse as well as an upscale vinyl planking for our kitchen (looks like real wood with wood grain patterns/contours AND 100% waterproof!). The vinyl planking installer was very professional and courteous. He did a great job in one day that included replacing the carpet on our lower stairs from the garage to the front door. My wife says this vinyl planking stairway means footwear dirt and grime no longer get tracked as easily into the house. The carpet installers also did an excellent job over 3 days, although it took longer than expected because we literally had a guest room full of storage boxes to be moved and replaced afterwards. We highly recommend paying the additional $50/room to have the installers move furniture for you. In our case, the installers also had to hire 2 extra movers for the first day to help get the work started. It cost another $150 for 2 extra movers that day but well worth it. Remember that an installation job is only an estimated cost, subject to additional ones on a time and material basis. It has been a week since all this work was done. We received favourable comments from our cleaning ladies and visitors alike: our 15-y.o. townhouse never looked so good and inviting until Absolutely Floored did their job. (Of course, our painting the walls before this carpet and flooring was done to enhance the look of the home too... ). Hope this review helps to convince you as we were that the Absolutely Floored does live up to their well deserved reputation as one of the best flooring stores in the tri-city area. Now almost two years ago, we had all basement floors and kitchen backsplash installed by Absolutely Floored staff/contractors. All still looks great, like just installed. At the time of reno, Steve at Absolutely Floored helped us to choose the materials as well as he arranged all the installation process. Steve was very professional right from the start. He made the whole process very straight forward. This was the first time when we had actually positive experience when doing renos. Steve was very helpful in choosing materials and arranging the whole process. He spent adequate time to make sure we were completely satisfied with all the products we chose and with the quality of work that was done. All the staff at Absolutely Floored is knowledgeable re: materials they sell, as I learned recently when I inquired about VOC and flooring. If the staff did not know answer to my question, they did actually find out the correct answer and call me back!
