Lived at the Windsor for 3 years. Great place to live, awesome amenities. The building is always clean and well maintained. Staff is very professional, Robert is in charge of maintenance and he always makes sure that stuff is handled fast and correctly along with the Victor they are an effective team. The leasing staff is also very nice and courteous, We had any and all issues resolved in an expedient manner. Only Con would be the fact that the rent is raised by large amounts every year. Location is AWESOME, would highly recommend. We had to leave because my career called me out farther south towards San Diego. Other than that I would have stayed, Comfort there is well worth it in my opinion. read more

My girlfriend and I have lived in this complex for 7 month now and we both absolutely love it. Its a very clean and nice community. Apartments are a nice size, and have plenty of room, bonus is the bedroom closest is huge. Central AC works amazingly, washer and dryer in units and nice size patio. Apartments are nice an insulated so you can't hear your neighbors. Hallways, walkways and garage are always kept clean and clear. Garage always has open parking, pools are nice and clean and staff is always helpful. 24 hour on site maintenance so any issues you may have can be fixed right away. Maintenance workers are always nice and respectful. I have yet to have any complaints against the property and workers. read more

There are so many negative things i can say about this hell hole. But i am currently writing this review at 2:09am while outside in the rain with neighbors because for about the 6th time in less than 2 years the entire complex fire alarm went off. Went off for around an hour. I am talking about an excruciating high pitch alarm... get your sh*t together. And the complex will blame it "high winds" or "someone smoking in the apartment" BS. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE for the 6th time. read more

I've only moved in since beginning of August 2017. I have to say the process from start to finish was very smooth, if there was anything needed for me to provide, Elizabeth would just make it easy for me to not have to rush or stress about it. My favorite part which may sound corny and cheesy was when Elizabeth walked me to my unit and handed over my Keys her last statement to me was what showed me they were happy to have me here. Elizabeth said " Here are your Keys Mr. Quintero and welcome Home" She may say it to everyone that she walks over to their unit but it stood out to me. Working with clients myself customer service and mannerisms go a long way. Santina, Your amazing young lady very super nice every time I've called the office for what ever reason I may bug you guys for. I walk in to ask if there's a certain battery I can buy for the gate remote , due to not knowing what size battery a key remote would have and I felt I was bothering her. I'm just not use to having someone just offer to say "I'll take care of it for you or you know what, let me just replace it so you don't have to deal with this issue anymore. Victor, gracias senor I had an issue with my sink in the bathroom it was early in the morning about 530 am Friday getting ready for work brushing my teeth. I try to turn off water and it was still going out. So I was like "gosh darn it I don't want it to hit the carpet and then have to file claim on renters policy go through that process etc... I called the emergency number I was given Incase of an issue. Not even 5 min later Victor calls says "I was notified about leak" I told him " yes sir its leaking and dripping on tile and I have some towels on the floor but I don't want it to hit the carpet". Victor said he was on his way I asked "how long so I can wait for you " He stated "don't worry about it you can go to work do I have permission to go in?" I said "yes sir are your sure you don't want me to stay" he said "no I understand you have to get to work I'll be there soon" That was awesome. I got back home after work everything was fixed he even replaced my light bulb in bathroom for me as well , he even picked up my towels put them in the bathtub and put the items I removed from under the sink back for me That was also cool !!! Victor I appreciate you sir , thank you for being so quick to help me not have to worry about damages. The whole staff here is great , I was asked for reviews on my interactions with staff. I'm sure Izzy, Lucas and Robert are as great as the others I've mentioned. Windsor I appreciate you guys Thank you read more

I've lived here for about 3 years now and it's been awesome so far. The maintenance staff is great, they are quick with maintenance orders. The leasing office staff is always so nice and helpful. I've dealt with Santina, Elizabeth, and Robert and have had great experiences with them every time. I love that the gym is open 24 hours and the remodel of the clubhouse is so nice. Convenient parking on the floor you live on and plenty of parking for guests. I would highly recommend renting here. read more

I've been living here since nov 2017. The whole process of moving in was real simple.no crazy down payment. Looked at a lot of other apts and most were above 2k , I ended here because I felt that I got the best bang for my buck. So far I'm not disappointed, I feel it's a safe place and very moderate . Everyone at the leasing office has been helpful and the maintenance crew is great . I would really recommend you checking these out and comparing it to other places in the area. read more

The Windsor at Main Place has been a great place to live. My wife and I have lived here for almost 3 years, and we've been very happy with the place. The location (right off the 22, across the street from Main Place Mall, lots of good food around) can't be beat, although the freeway can be a little loud since our apartment faces it. The apartments are decent sized and have great amenities, including all the appliances, walk in closet, balcony, and most importantly, laundry right there in your apartment. Everyone who visits comments how it looks like a resort -- its great to have the nice landscaping and the pools/spas/barbecues, which usually aren't too busy. The real key to living at the Windsor is the awesome maintenance staff. Robert and Victor have taken great care of us -- when issues pop up, it is easy to call for repair on the website, and its usually taken care of within a day. If an emergency were to occur, they're on call 24 hours a day. Above all, they're both polite and respectful guys who genuinely want to help. In addition, every time we've dealt with the leasing staff, they've been polite and helpful. Rent is a little steep and keeps going up each time we renew, but that is to be expected with the location and the quality of the place. Overall, its been a great place to live. read more

This Complex is still horrible, we finally just moved because we could not handle all the conditions, neighbors, rent hikes, noise and unsanitary conditions. Most off the staff is completely rude. My last review still stands I would never recommend this place to anyone!! read more

My husband & I lived in Windsor for a three-month (short-term lease agreement). We enjoyed our time there & found the leasing agents, Elizabeth & Lucas to be both friendly & professional. The two maintenance men, Robert & Vincent, were exceptional in going out of their way to repair, replace and beyond. They were always congenial and understanding of people's needs. The rent was a little too expensive & the complex is not as luxurious as advertised. The pools & hot tubs are beautiful & well maintained & the proximity to shopping mall & grocery store made it quite worthwhile for us. Nancy H. read more

The worst place we've ever lived. It's amazing how many maintenance issues we've had in only four months of living here. They even entered our apartment without warning when my fiance was just getting out of the shower. There is nothing luxury about this complex, so don't fall victim. Management offered us what they call ''a customer service gesture'' .....Really? They invade our privacy and make us feel uncomfortable in our own place, and they offer a gesture by cutting the lease termination fee in half. We've caused you so much trouble, and we're willing to only make you pay 900 dollars on top of your normal rent, to move out of the apartment that we are responsible for maintaining. From the regional vice president, himself. ''A TOTAL COMMITMENT TO BETTER LIVING.'' ^^^^This is their motto^^^^ Completely unbecoming. The most unprofessional business practices we've ever encountered. read more

Unfortunately I wish I can recommend this place for people but I wouldn't. Just moved out of here after 2 years.. my husbands car got broken into 2 times...the night security never answers the phone with issues, and if they do, they told us to call the police instead. The worst part was finding a PEEPING TOM in the back of our patio when I was home alone at night. There's a back alley way by our apartments where a middle aged Hispanic man was hiding there. When my husband came home and found him, he chased him out of the apartment and the man got away. At this point, our main concern was our safety and we moved out RIGHT away. There is only so many things we can be patient about with this place with the lack of security, maintenance response, our deposit being flushed down the drain, and lack of quick response from management , but when my families safety is at risk that draws the line for us. If we ever had an issue, we would call management. They say they would call us back but never do. We have to call them back 2-3 more times and it takes a few days to fix the issue. This place is clean and we loved the dog park. I wish they had more security as people can come in and out easily. Sucks that we thought we would stay here for a long time but too many issues. read more

I have lived here since 2013 and the only reason why im leaving is because its way too expensive. Rates keep going up and just found another apt for cheaper. This place is wonderful. The staff is very polite and professional. Maintenance is on point. The structure is high and tall and very beautiful. Parking is great and security is on patrol at night to check your cars. read more

I moved in to these apartments on a short term lease of about 4 months. I paid more in rent for the short term which is not unusual. When I looked at complex originally, I had read the reviews on here. I questioned the staff about what I read and walked the complex. My experience living here was not like what I am reading in other reviews. I found the complex to be clean. I never came across dogs not on a leash. Neighbors were friendly enjoy to say hi. I was there for the fire alarm going off that is mentioned in one of the reviews. Midnight is correct, but we were told by staff email afterwards, that someone pulled the fire alarm box in the complex. Orange County Fire Authority was there quickly and scoped the place out. No complaint. The purpose of the alarm is to protect the residents. There is no time of the day limit on that. Middle of the night is the middle of the night. If there was a real fire, everyone would be thankful to have been awakened and out of their apartment would be my guess. I had a couple minor issues that came up and I found the staff very responsive. I met Elizabeth initially when I rented the apartment and found her very friendly and helpful. Santina and Lucas as well. The maintenance staff was quick to respond and resolved any issue I had. I had no issues in the garage with anyone, and parking was not difficult. Lots of extra space on the top level. Reading another review, I am being charged for carpet cleaning and something else. Even after 4 months, carpets MUST be cleaned. I'm OK with that. This apartment complex was built in 2000/2001 I was told. Some design issues are apparent, but not the fault of current ownership or management. Location is great with lots to offer by just walking a block or two. Gym and amenities are good here. Place shows well. I enjoyed my stay. Rent is higher then it has been in a long time, but that is based on the market availability. I just moved to West Los Angeles, and trust me I am paying much more for less space here. This is a large complex folks. You can't control people being lazy, that comes everywhere today and people are into themselves and far less courteous. Reality is what it is. I would recommend this complex. Kitchen, laundry room, bathroom and walk in closet are good sizes. My brand new construction apartment is smaller and costs more money. Enjoy! read more

This is really a fantastic place to live. My husband, dog and I have lived here for about a year and just signed on for another year lease. The rent went up a bit so we decided to look around before renewing our lease. That's when I realized how great Windsor really is (even more than we originally thought!) -Parking. Theres nothing else like it in Orange County. I have NEVER had an issue with finding a parking spot....usually about 10 steps away from my door. With the 1 bedroom we have, we only get 1 spot on our floor....but since the apartments revolve around the parking structure, it's a close walk no matter where you live. My husband has to park on the 5th floor/guest parking and that's only about 20 steps from our front door. The entire 5th floor parking is guest parking/overflow of cars so it's super convenient to have people over. -Dog Friendly. This complex is SUPER dog friendly. There is a dog run/mini dog park. There is also large patches of grass on both ends of the complex to make it easy to take your dog out at night or in the morning. Doggie bags are also provided around the grounds. -Open-Floor Space-We have a 1 bedroom apartment and its 756 square feet. It feels MUCH bigger than that. They did a great job of making it feel airy and large....and the laundry room (with provided washer and dryer!) really makes it feel like home. You don't have to leave your apartment to use any community features if you don't want to. Appliances-Like I said, the washer and dryer is amazing. The kitchen appliances are great...dishwasher works perfectly, same with the garbage disposal, microwave, stove, and oven. Never had an issue with it. Bugs-Never seen a single bug or insect. Never heard of anything from my neighbors about it. This place is clean! The outside varies....nothing extreme. People are people.....and some people aren't as clean as others. When you live in an apartment complex, you have to be tolerant of other people. -The leasing office has always been wonderful to us. They hold our packages and follow up with us about any issues we might have. Great people. -Gym-fabulous. My husband goes every day. Apparently they just got new treadmills! And it's a spacious gym, as well. I would definitely recommend this place. read more

I moved in about a month ago and I couldn't be happier. I've lived in several different apartment complexes in Orange and this one is by far my favorite so far. The location, amenities, and staff are all amazing. Also, the complex is super pet friendly, which my little dachshund loves. They even have a pet of the month! How cool is that! Kelly, Elizabeth, Robert, and Santina are all very helpful and caring. I'm so glad I picked Windsor. I feel like I'm living at a resort and the price is so incredibly reasonable for such a great place. If you are looking for a complex in Orange, this is the spot. They made moving in a breeze and actually enjoyable. I look forward to coming home knowing I have such a fantastic apartment to call mine. read more

There are a lot of great things about Windsor. The pools, the BBQ area and the 24 hour gym. The maintenance staff is also top notch and they have been around for a long time, however the people at the front desk come and go very quickly, every time i am down there someone new is working. However unless you are going to rent the 2 Bedroom unit don't expect your AC to work well, you will end up paying $300 a month in the summer months for your apartment to get down to 78* (if your lucky), you can keep your windows open in the summer and have it stay about the same temperature, so be sure to buy fans! Also they only enforce the "Clean Balcony" on certain apartments. We purchased a bamboo screen to put up on our balcony and was told 2 days later by management that it needed to be removed, but our neighbors two doors over (as well as several other apartments) have the same bamboo screen up and have never been told to, or have never taken it down. Several dog owners do not keep their dogs on their leashes, and walk them through the apartment complex, gym, parking structure without their animals on leashes. Management has sent several emails telling owners what is "Courteous" to other residents but they don't every enforce any of these rules. As a whole, the complex is clean and the maintenance staff are very good, but for how much you have to pay in rent you would expect your air conditioning to work, at least enough to cool your apartment with is 90+ outside. read more

I really wanted to like this place but throughout my years here I have had nothing but problems. I'm 49 years old, I've lived in almost 10 different communities and I have never had to go speak with an office about so many issues before. I think every one of my neighbors has moved out since I've moved in and I'm about to do the same. Nothings going to change without new leadership. read more

The amenities are nice, office staff is reasonable most of the time and maintenance requests were competed timely. The whole top level of the parking structure is for guest parking so there is plenty of parking spaces for having people over. The negatives I have with this place are we had an issue with bugs (small bugs and cockroaches) in our apartment. We would get them around every 2 months. The first time we got them the apartment office told us to keep it so maintenance could verify it was a cockroach. Gross! We put it in a plastic bag but it was still gross we were catching cockroaches as evidence. The apartment would send someone out to bug spray the apartment after each complaint but they never seemed proactive in the problem. I never saw or got noticed that they were spraying around the apartment like I did in other apartments. Also, the hallways can get a little dirty. We had a neighbor who let their dog pee and poop in the hallways. One time it was in front of our door and it smelled like pee for a month. read more

My very first apartment. I moved in 2 months ago and already have so much to complain about... BEWARE. To start, There has been multiple car thefts and break ins reported yet no cameras have been installed in the parking structure. Instead they've hired an out of shape 55+ year old female security guard that could not stop any crime from happening. My car was keyed last-night and I was told by the office there is no camera installed and without any camera footage, there is nothing that can be done about it. On top of that, something is always down or broken. Either the gate is broken, elevator is down, the water is being turned off, pool is closed, fire alarms are going off, or the power has gone out. The water has been turned off about 6 times in 2 months due to an "emergency" however their own employee told us its because the pipes are extremely rusty and the office refuses to replace them. We pay extra to park on our floor yet there is not a single parking spot available by the time I get home and I end up having to park on the top floor where the guests park. We also pay for "janitorial" services, yet there is trash and dog poop everywhere the whole complex stinks. You look around this place and all the residents look completely miserable. I really hoped for a safer and better living environment for my first apartment experience. Have felt nothing but disappointment since I signed the lease. Cannot wait to get out of here. read more

Seriously don't move here if you want to live somewhere that actually adheres to the rules. The "quiet hours" that were promised to us when we moved in by the pool are never adhered to. People are out there being quite obnoxious until even past the pool closing time on a regular basis. Also there's been times we haven't been able to park our cars on our level because people with other color permits are on it or people without permits even and they don't do anything about that. My upstairs neighbors are the most heavy footed people on the planet with an obnoxious barking dog and no matter how many times I mention it to the office nothing changes. Also you can hear water rushing every time another unit turns it on, I've never had that issue before in any other apartment complex I've lived in. It's crazy loud and annoying. Don't move here if you want a property that listens to you and makes all residents follow the guidelines. read more

We have lived here since 2011. I am surprised by some of the reviews I have read. Those that are totally unsatisfied with the place, make me wonder about them, not the place. Granted, we are in our 60's, and are not there all the time, but believe me, we would not want to live in a complex that had all the issues these people post. Yes, they need to step up some of the maintenance issues, such as hallways and the area outside of each floor's trash enclosures needing more frequent cleaning, but, overall, the place is pretty nice. My husband uses the fitness center daily and is completely satisfied. The entire top floor is for visitors, so there is really no issue there. If someone is parked where they don't belong, a phone call to the office, or security after hours, and the problem will be solved. Also, shopping and restaurants are abundant in the area. read more

Do NOT MOVE HERE!!! I am a current resident here and I have had the worst experience ... When I first moved here, I went to the leasing office to pick up my keys, and drop off my deposit.. The leasing con. decided that they did not want to accept a debit transaction for my DP so they held onto my keys for a day until I had time to go to the bank and get a cashiers check... 2 months after that my car was broken into, window smashed and lots of belonging stolen... The leasing office told me they did not have a security system, but they had a security who would come some days !! what a joke.... now I have been harassed by the leasing office regarding belonging I have in my patio, that they want me to remove.. like my bird cage!!!!! I cant even have that... I had this issue come up months ago and I asked that they show me where in my contract it stated that I could not have my belongings in my patio ... they could not provide that so they let go of the subject ..now they are reaching out again to mention this... Horrible place to live .. Don't move here read more

I'm giving this a four star rating right now because I've only been here a short time so I'll save my "5" for later :) When looking for apartments I read a couple of reviews for the complex that almost deterred me from visiting so I want to give my perspective. Everything was clean and tidy and the grounds perfectly manicured. I did not see things dirty when I visited and still haven't now that I live here. I throw trash away several times a week and the area around the chute is always empty and clean. Of course I can only speak for my floor but I'd bet its that way on all of them. My apartment has great carpeting (padding is so good, color is fantastic), fixtures are updated and although I have the smallest space (760 sq. ft) the layout makes it feel open and roomy. The walk-in closet is fairly large and I love the tile and flooring in the bathroom. Its a pet friendly complex but I haven't seen any "surprises" on the walkways so either the tenants are concientious or the complex cleans up quickly (or maybe a mixture of both). The leasing agent I dealt with, Beth, COULDN'T be nicer. Very sweet. Shops for anything you could every want within walking distance all around. Very happy so far with my choice. I would urge you to at least come by and tour the place if you're apartment hunting. read more
