Not your normal client here! and yet they came through. I had a 95 Chevy truck that needed a windshield but it wouldn't move or start, no problem, they worked around branches, it comes out great and took no time. Fast forward.....my oldest daughter had a crack, but doesn't live with me. She had to drive me to a procedure, so I figured can't hurt to call and ask. Less than a days notice and it's done!!!! Scheduling around a customers procedure, dealing with tree branches, these guys get it done! Only the jeep remaining, but when it's time I know who I'm calling read more

I don't even know where to begin! Let's just say, installing my windshield back in January at this windshield PRO shop cost me 10k+ in electrical repairs on my car after water damage! First drive after the installation I had smoke in my cabin and my entire dash electronics went out, my screen glitching, my rpm gauge jumping etc... went straight back to this shop where John refused to take a look at the windshield and re seal it, he reassured me it has nothing to do with the windshield. Spent 6 months in shops where after quite of bit of time and money it was discovered water damage behind dash where all dash electronics were affected, as well as AC amp. John himself did a leak test in the shop and "proved" with a video that there's no water leak from the windshield, suggested it's my sunroof that's leaking. After my secondary request of windshield inspection in the dealership, techs discovered the windshield was actually leaking. Yet this professional installer is refusing to take responsibility claiming this wasn't his fault, blaming it on the previous installers??? He also claimed he installed it in his shop, when he installed it on a parking lot on a rainy day. This is not only about my financial expenses, but also my stress, headaches, not being able to drive my car for half a year, extra expenses on rental cars and what not. This person answered my call, after hearing this, he said I'm not responsible GOODBYE LADY! read more

It's been three years since I had a quarter sized windshield crack "repaired" at this place. Just wanted to give credit where credit is due. I caught a rock driving and reached out to "Windshield Pros" because of the good reviews on yelp. So when I arrive the guy starts with the repairs - specifically pumping resin into the crack, but it doesn't seem to do anything, so he adds more pressure, still nothing but the crack is getting bigger, finally some black tar spits out and fills the crack a little bit. The whole time this guy is saying that "it probably is not going to work", finally he gives up and looks at the tool he uses, notices something is off, proceeds to clean it and give it another go. This time clear resin starts to flow and fills up the crack half way, all of a sudden he gets visibly upset, pulls the tool off the windshield and tells me that now I need the whole windshield replaced because he messed up the repair. Apparently the tool he used to fix the problem was clogged with some black crap and he failed to inspect it prior to using it. Offered to replace the windshield for just the cost of the part, which made me laugh - how can you trust someone who completely messes up a small, simple repair with a bigger job? I ordered a simple windshield repair kit and patched it up myself - the crack remains small and hasn't spread till this day even though "Windshield Pros" "expert" told me it's not gonna last a month. I think they should rename their business to "Windshield Amateurs" and even that would be giving them too much credit. TLDR: they botched a small repair and refused to fix their mess. Never again. read more

Terrific and fast service. Drove up to the shop with a rock chip in my windshield. Guy said "you're in luck, just got another job done". Got it fixed in 30 minutes. He quoted $80 for one chip and $15 for additional chips, but took less than half of that in cash which is all I had in my wallet. His boss had a square thingie which could read my credit card but the boss wasn't in, and he didn't want to hold me up. read more

My 1984 VW Vanagon had a small crack in the windshield from a rock ding two years ago. The crack had been there without spreading. But this winter, after a snow storm and cold temperatures in March 2020, the crack ran all the way across the glass. Time for a replacement. I did a quick Yelp search and found Windshield Pros of Tahoe with good reviews. I called and received a very reasonable quote for replacement. The work was scheduled for the following day, but upon inspection of the new windshield the day of the install John noticed a slight imperfection in the glass. So he re-ordered the windshield and installed it the next day. Installation was fast, friendly and efficient and done at my home address in less than an hour. I would highly recommend their services! --Steve in Meyers/South Lake Tahoe, CA read more

I can not say enough good things about this business. My wife and daughter were driving up to SLT for a week at our timeshare when a rock chipped our windshield. While she was on the way up I called Windshield Pros and talked to the owner/tech. I explained the situation and he said he would call my wife later that day to set up a time to inspect the windshield. He called her that evening and came by the next day and filled the chip. He also found another chip he filled for just $10 more. He was very professional and punctual. He came to them and fixed the chips at our resort. He took care of the chips quickly and helped get everything squared away for reimbursement from our insurance company. If you are in SLT and need windshield work done call Windshield Pros! read more

The happiest I've been in ages to hand over $195! I'm an '06 Toyota Sequoia owner that had a windshield that finally cracked all the way across. Called the local dealer and they quoted more than $1400 just for the glass. When I called windshield pros and they told me they'd to it at my place for under $200 all in I wasn't sure I believed it. I'm a believer now. John called. Arrived exactly as promised. Did the work right on my premises, and charged exactly what was quoted. It's business like this that deserve local support. Unbeatable price (call around). Unbeatable service. Try it. read more

After a Bunch of runarounds from insurance companies and and installers in Carson and Reno we gave up and called John. He said no problem I'll come by tomorrow and replace your broken windshield. He called in the morning to confirm and was at the house at the time specified. He and his assistant were friendly, professional and excellent at what they do. The bottom line is that I would HIGHLY recommend Windshield Pros of Tahoe because of the owner John. He is professional, replies to voice and text messages promptly, he was extremely accommodating and went out of his way to provide outstanding service outside of normal business hours because we were on vacation. Even though our window replacement ended up requiring additional parts, I completely trust the information that John provided and I am completely satisfied with the cost and pleased with the end product. --- Here are the details. This summer while on vacation from San Diego our 2002 Toyota Land Cruiser's windshield was demolished by falling pine cones. I call them pine cone missiles. I had returned to San Diego leaving my wife an son to enjoy Lake Tahoe when she discovered the broken windshield. I did a web search looking for a quality company with a reasonable price. I called several companies and received various quotes. After speaking with John, comparing prices and reading the reviews I chose Windshield Pros of Tahoe. My wife did her own search and after talking with John she texted me what she found. Kind of amazing that we both made the same choice. We had replaced our windshield in 2012 and did not know how poorly the work was done at that time. The San Diego company had cut every corner, re-used damaged seals and essentially installed the windshield in such a way that it could not be replaced without replacing additional seals and rails. Once John saw the windshield and realized that he needed to replace the seals that were ruined by the previous company, he called me and explained the cost and that it would take several days to get the parts. I agreed to the price increase and John, knowing that we were under a time crunch to get the windshield replaced, did the work on his day off and although it took him AND a helper multiple hours (according to my wife), which is obviously more than he originally estimated, he charged me the original price plus the additional parts. I truly believe that you will not find a better, more professional, trustworthy person/company to replace your windshield than John and Windshield Pros of Tahoe. read more

Unbelievable service. I've had the kind of week where everything that could go wrong HAS. Someone smashed my back window and stole all of my stuff. But John and Jennifer (I'm really sorry if I remember that name wrong) made my week exponentially better. They ordered my glass, confirming every necessary detail with me first, immediately. And better yet, John was able to install it at my hotel in about an hour the next day. He was so careful to make sure the interior of my car was protected and did a flawless job with the window. Super friendly, prompt, and calming too. On top of everything, this is a Geico preferred shop, and Geico will back their work for the life of the car. Do not mess around with any other company-- these guys are the BEST. read more
