I first called on a Thursday, to which he asked if he could call me back at the number I called from. I said sure, no problem. I never received that call. So I tried again the following Saturday. No call back. We tried again the following week, and he claimed he would come look at our rig on the following Tuesday. Never asked for a name, phone number or location of the vehicle. Originally they were sought to install both of my new aftermarket bumpers with all of the goodies on my 2021 Toyota Tundra. Being reasonably priced and installing unexpected added items of a rear light bar, and new brakelights, as well as leveling out my nerf/side step bars, they have earned my customer loyalty. They even painted 2 unexpected extra tow hooks to match my paint at a very reasonable rate. I mentioned a scuff in my rear quarter panel and even that was buffed out as a courtesy. A family business since 1979, Jason Hoff has taken the reigns handed down from his father Neal Hoff who clearly installed knowledge, drive and a great old school attitude backed up by solid new school tech and efficiency in his son. To say I am impressed is an understatement. In 2026 it is indeed a rarity to find a business and crew who want to serve their customers so well. Need body/collision work or other incidentals? There are solid reasons Silver City Collision and RV Repair has such a good reputation and loyal return customers! I highly recommend them and look forward to their working on all of our vehicles in the future.

I don't even know where to begin! Let's just say, installing…read moremy windshield back in January at this windshield PRO shop cost me 10k+ in electrical repairs on my car after water damage! First drive after the installation I had smoke in my cabin and my entire dash electronics went out, my screen glitching, my rpm gauge jumping etc... went straight back to this shop where John refused to take a look at the windshield and re seal it, he reassured me it has nothing to do with the windshield. Spent 6 months in shops where after quite of bit of time and money it was discovered water damage behind dash where all dash electronics were affected, as well as AC amp. John himself did a leak test in the shop and "proved" with a video that there's no water leak from the windshield, suggested it's my sunroof that's leaking. After my secondary request of windshield inspection in the dealership, techs discovered the windshield was actually leaking. Yet this professional installer is refusing to take responsibility claiming this wasn't his fault, blaming it on the previous installers??? He also claimed he installed it in his shop, when he installed it on a parking lot on a rainy day. This is not only about my financial expenses, but also my stress, headaches, not being able to drive my car for half a year, extra expenses on rental cars and what not. This person answered my call, after hearing this, he said I'm not responsible GOODBYE LADY!

We scheduled an appointment to do the front windows two weeks later ($260). I arrived and he informed me it would take about two hours, i initially was thinking of getting the NV legal tint, but he asked if I was sure as a recent customer had brought his back because it wasn't tinted enough. I agreed and got the darker tint; Only stipulation being that anything darker than legal for your car has to be paid in cash and isn't covered in warranty (though he assured me if I had any problems I could come back and they'd fix). I walked down to Carson Valley Inn, killed some time and came back to him finishing up the job. Easy transaction, tint looks great!

In an era where it feels like every customer interaction is optimized solely for maximum profit,…read morethe team at Capital Auto reminded me that professional integrity and genuine kindness still exist. I came in with a specialized battery registration issue--the kind of technical hurdle that usually leads to a "luxury vehicle" surcharge or a long lecture about proprietary software. Instead, the staff handled it with total expertise and, incredibly, didn't even charge me for the reset. As someone who values efficiency and no-nonsense service, I was blown away. They understood that a quick, helpful solution is worth more than the line item on an invoice. They were fast, knowledgeable, and truly helpful during a high-stress week. If you want a shop that prioritizes people and long-term relationships over a quick buck, this is the place. They've earned my respect and my future business. Highly recommended.
