I caught a rock driving and reached out to "Windshield Pros" because of the good reviews on yelp. So when I arrive the guy starts with the repairs - specifically pumping resin into the crack, but it doesn't seem to do anything, so he adds more pressure, still nothing but the crack is getting bigger, finally some black tar spits out and fills the crack a little bit. The whole time this guy is saying that "it probably is not going to work", finally he gives up and looks at the tool he uses, notices something is off, proceeds to clean it and give it another go. This time clear resin starts to flow and fills up the crack half way, all of a sudden he gets visibly upset, pulls the tool off the windshield and tells me that now I need the whole windshield replaced because he messed up the repair. Apparently the tool he used to fix the problem was clogged with some black crap and he failed to inspect it prior to using it. Offered to replace the windshield for just the cost of the part, which made me laugh - how can you trust someone who completely messes up a small, simple repair with a bigger job? I ordered a simple windshield repair kit and patched it up myself - the crack remains small and hasn't spread till this day even though "Windshield Pros" "expert" told me it's not gonna last a month. I think they should rename their business to "Windshield Amateurs" and even that would be giving them too much credit. TLDR: they botched a small repair and refused to fix their mess. Never again.

I arrived half an hour before my appointment time and they were able to get my repair done even before my scheduled time. It was a nice surprise and cost about $200 for two little nicks in my windshield. The technician also mentioned that they have a lifetime guarantee so if the cracks got worse, they would apply what I paid for it toward a windshield replacement. Quick and awesome repair service!

They arrived and didn't have the correct windshield or the right seal. It's a fairly obscure car so I let it slide (although it's really just a Subaru Impreza and I told them that). The windshield is fine but the seals look absolutely terrible. The second time I had the windshield replaced on my 4Runner. They unnecessarily removed the cabin air filter to try to upsell me on a replacement. While doing this, they let debris fall into the blower motor which caused a loud ticking sound coming from the vents. I figured that was the issue but they recommended against fixing it myself and my wife left the car with them. After returning to pick up the car for the 2nd time, the seat belt warning light would not go off. The car was returned again and was fixed relatively quickly by a technician. The third issue, I cannot say with certainty was the fault of Safelite, though I strongly believe it was - a small spot on my passenger seat was melted, with what looks like an adhesive chemical burn. They denied it was them, as I assumed they would without absolute proof, but I'm certain this issue was not present before bringing the vehicle to Safelite.

I chose to go into the shop due to the weather approaching. They give you the option for them to go to you or you go to them. Their location was very easy to find. My appointment was kept as promised and the staff were very friendly and helped me with all questions and explained the before and after process. When my window was fixed it look amazing! I've never seen a window so clear. I'm very happy with them and the cost was reasonable for me. I will be using them every time I need a window fixed or replaced.

Definitely recommended if you have a small chip. Fair price. Why the low review? Well I asked the guy to drill out the end of the long crack so it wouldn't continue to spread. He said it would be fine. I asked him again - and he said it would be fine. Again. Well that's not what happened. The crack spread another 2 inches before I could get back to Texas and have it repaired correctly. The new repair stopped the crack and even made the crack invisible even though Tri Valley couldn't do that.

I want to be fully transparent, the entire reason for me to take the time to write this review is with the goal that at least two people read this and go elsewhere for their auto glass needs. I will feel like I did something for the community and I will feel like I got my money back. I had a windshield replaced 2/13. Service was OK, although my appointment was scheduled for 2/12 and when I got there on the 12th, they realized they ordered the wrong glass for my car and I had to come back for service the 13th. That happens, no problems. On 2/27, I was sitting at a stop sign when I noticed a straight line, about one inch, on the edge of the glass, in the black. I couldn't tell what it was. I tried wiping it off from the inside of my car and I tried to clean it off with the wipers. Within 15 minutes, that one inch turned into 4, into 6. Still, confused by what it was. I stopped and saw from the outside that the windshield was cracked! I called right away and let them know. They told me a manger would call me on Monday. I work nights and was nearby the shop on Monday morning, I called and asked if I could bring it in now. They agreed. I brought it in and did not get the guy's name but he introduced himself as a "foreman". He looked at the crack and told me that it was caused by something hitting it. I did not believe that at all. The next few minutes shocked me and the second I knew, for sure, that this was not a reputable shop is when I asked him for a second opinion, and suggested it was a stress fracture from the installation two weeks ago. He told me, again, he was a foreman and that there was no one else who could give a second opinion. I told him OK, but that I absolutely could not get it replaced there again. He understood and let me leave. Then, I started doing actual research! If you are reading this and need auto glass, do NOT go here. Drive 43 minutes down the hill to Tigris auto glass (916) 476-3052. It will be a lot cheaper (from $470 to $250) in my case and I've had it now 7 weeks with no fracture. I understand things happen and I understand bad luck. Maybe my experience was both of those but the two things that I can't quite get over are 1) not honoring a customers request for a second opinion--that is free and ANY reputable or even reasonable person would gladly set up a second opinion and 2) I haven't mentioned this yet....but the installation, I was about to leave and the receptionist said, "oh and they told you no car washes and keep the tape on right?" No, I had zero instructions and was planning to go straight to the car wash! I didn't because she told me at the last second. At Tigris, I had a hand out with special care and instructions for the first two weeks. Knowing what I know now, absolute should have never installed my windshield when they did---as a major storm and temperature changes were brewing and those conditions alone make the glass setting and installation more vulnerable.
