Just had our vehicle taken in for some ceramic tint after receiving a quote of roughly $400 weeks back over the phone. Appointment was scheduled first thing in the morning before the shop technically opened (according to all posted times.) Wife and I arrived and proceeded to confirm the plans for our truck to ensure they still had all the information from the original quote. The young kid at the counter reiterated that NV legally doesn't allow tint on the front windshield but could do 70% for UV/heat protection without affecting any viewing but it wouldn't be covered under warranty. We then discussed the %s we wanted for the other windows again and he took our number down saying it would take a couple hours. 2hrs later we received a call that they were finished and after completing our errands we drove back to the shop to pick up our truck. To our surprise when we arrived to pick up the truck, the front windshield was not tinted at all. When asked, the owner first stated that it would be $150+ more than what we paid. When I brought up that the original quote was for everything and that this was discussed again during drop off, the story changed and he stated that it couldn't be done at all without removing the windshield due to electrical components in this generation of truck. I am very aware of these components and the difficulties necessary to tint the windshield vs a windshield in an older vehicle, hence hiring professionals to do the job. Unfortunately it seems the shop either just doesn't want to do the work or doesn't trust the staff to not screw up a brand new truck. Also it seems the staff is not properly trained on what they can/will or can't/won't do when giving quotes, scheduling, and intaking vehicles. The provided work was sufficiently done (hence the 2 stars) but unfortunately the main reason we brought the vehicle in was for the front windshield. Had we been properly informed we may have not bothered with the $350 paid for PART of the work. The cab is still very much a hot fish bowl. read more

After years of referring this window tinting shop based on their quality tinting I am warning anyone to be aware of some shady, sad business decisions. I have referred over 15 Friends and family and they have been happy with their tint. I have a 2021 Tesla Model 3 and asked to have all windows tinted to 5%. Now remember when you have it tinted to this there will be no receipt. We agreed to do all windows 5% and a strip on the windshield. The total was $350. I paid $360 cash and when I looked at the back window after they had closed they only tinted half my window. I called, and asked if I could have the rear window re-done the way I wanted. Of coarse they wanted an additional $140. I'm $500 deep in window tint without a receipt or warranty at this point. I let them know I send family and friends from Carson, Sparks, Reno for many years and could they do me a favor and do it for the cost of material which was less than $100. I offered $100. The manager said no... the reasoning was he needed to pay his worker an hour for the work. Let's do the math real quick. 15 friends and family, 5 vehicles myself alone @ low balling $300 tint is $6,000 in business. All of those family members and friends are buying new cars, they won't be going to this business over a $100 decision they made. Customer service is very important. If you order a steak and it's wrong, the restaurant doesn't charge you for the last steak and the labor to cook it, and for the new steak and the labor to cook it. But that's just my opinion. This place is awesome. I had my Honda Civic tinted about three years ago. They did a great job. Now, here I am three years later and my rear window has taken on the look of a fun house mirror. I look in my rear view mirror and see four headlights stacked on top of each other at night. During the day there's always four cars behind me, stacked up one on top of the other. Not good. I saved my receipt (always a good idea!) and brought the car back in to ask what had happened to my window. With no questions asked, they told me to bring it back to be repaired. I made an appointment for a week later, brought it in early in the morning, and by afternoon I had a brand new tint job on the offending window. Wow! I love businesses like this that back up their work. And of course, no charge. That's a guarantee! If you need tinting in the Carson City area, this is the place to go, hands down. I must have been one of the last few Nevadans without tinted windows. I called first thing in the morning to check if they had any openings later that day. By 1 pm, my car was in the bay and by 3 pm I was outta there. They quoted me $160 on the phone but charged me only $150. Several people came in and out or called while I waited in their tiny "lounge" and I was surprised how many said they were about to refer them to family or friends, or had been referred by family or friends. Must be a good thing. Plus: *Lifetime guarantee. *Great rates. * Friendly folks Minor con: I brought my iPad to help kill time while I waited for 2 hours. Wish their seating situation was a bit more comfortable. No wifi available either (they said it messed with the police equipment - they apparently work on a lot of cop cars).
