Not sure what the owner Mitch has against me and why he does not want my business. I have been waiting for a month for him to do my tint and sub install. I have never met the man before until I came to his shop in early August had set an appt for the install on 8/29. He called on 8/28 to let me know there are back-order issues with the JBL and that he would call me back monday. failed to call me back Monday the 31st so I followed up on 9/2. He answered and apologized and let me know that he would contact other vendors and get back to me. It is now a month since the appointment was set. I have not received any call back from him. I would give them perfect but they didn't tell me a range of how long the car would be since I drove in 40 minutes to have it done and told them I would be waiting. He made it seem like it would ve a few hours maybe 3 max 4 hours. I came in at exactly 10am and left after 4pm. Every hour after 4 hours seems like eternity when you were hoping it would be lesser than more especially since most people want to under promise and over deliver. Well I guess that's what happens when you're the only one in the area that does these type of services really well. You no longer care to impress in every area. Just the ones that matter. My classic 1978 Datsun 280Z had an aftermarket speaker that was not working. A mechanic who works on the car suggested that I visit Unique to get it fixed. Many establishments are not anxious to work on classic cars so I was a bit apprehensive about contacting them. They gave me suggestions on how to remedy the situation and did so without trying to upsell me. My deck's harness was frayed and separated. My car has a unique sound system installed by the factory that makes it difficult to put an aftermarket stereo in it and there are some small caveats that are unique to it. called 3 weeks in advance and scheduled a time to bring my truck in.. showed up on the day and had no problem.. they installed a new blue tooth with display and 4 new speakers and a rear back up camera in what seemed like minimum time.. removed my old 10 disc CD changer and cleaned up that installation.. really nice job.. when I came to pick up my truck they stepped me thru the blue tooth pairing with my phone and showed me how to work the unit.. minor quibble.. had to figure out how to set the clock myself.. really good job and I'd recommend them to others.. read more

I had tried a few over the counter external Bluetooth devices that plugged directly into the stereos audio jack but they just didn't work very well. I live in Reno and first got a price quote from audioexpress since they are close by. I work in Carson though and decided to have Unique Sounds price it as well. The price through Unique Sounds was slightly better but what really decided it for me was dealing with an owner directly. The owners, Mitch and his brother are really stand up guys and do what they say. They stand behind everything they sell and install. They stayed late the evening I had my install scheduled to make sure everything turned out just perfect. When I went to pick up the Jeep I didn't have a usb to iPhone cord with me that you need to sync things up. Rather than trying to sell me one the owner tossed me one and said thanks for doing business with us.
