My classic 1978 Datsun 280Z had an aftermarket speaker that was not working. A mechanic who works on the car suggested that I visit Unique to get it fixed. Many establishments are not anxious to work on classic cars so I was a bit apprehensive about contacting them. I made an appointment through their website and Mitch gave me a date several days later to bring in the car. When I arrived they immediately took in the car to diagnose the problem. 40 minutes later the speaker was working like new. We first used this business many years ago at their old location. The experience was a ten out of ten so when we needed a camera installed in our car we knew where we were going! They know what they're doing! We brought in a camera we'd bought online and they had us in and out in reasonable time. We decided to install some new speakers in our new car as it will be our last, but we kept the original head unit. With almost perfect 5 stars, we decided to use this company. We were greeted by the owner himself Mitch. Such a professional and extremely nice guy. He never tried to upsell anything we did not need or want. I would give them perfect but they didn't tell me a range of how long the car would be since I drove in 40 minutes to have it done and told them I would be waiting. He made it seem like it would ve a few hours maybe 3 max 4 hours. I came in at exactly 10am and left after 4pm. Every hour after 4 hours seems like eternity when you were hoping it would be lesser than more especially since most people want to under promise and over deliver. Called to have a backup camera installed in my truck. Mitch and Khaled took care of me. They found the previous install was done incorrectly. They gave me suggestions on how to remedy the situation and did so without trying to upsell me. My deck's harness was frayed and separated. Previous install wires were cut and left exposed antennas were cut and left exposed. They offered solutions that were affordable and walked me through process as the install went on. Mitch was great at helping me choose electronics. I was there most of the day (live in Yerington and could not drop off) as they installed the radio w/back up camera and dash cams, front and rear. The biggest problem was my factory alarm fighting the remote start. Had the alarm disabled and remote start worked great. Will return soon for a better alarm system. Would I go back? Yes... soon. The staff here is very knowledgeable and friendly. My car has a unique sound system installed by the factory that makes it difficult to put an aftermarket stereo in it and there are some small caveats that are unique to it. called 3 weeks in advance and scheduled a time to bring my truck in.. showed up on the day and had no problem.. they installed a new blue tooth with display and 4 new speakers and a rear back up camera in what seemed like minimum time.. removed my old 10 disc CD changer and cleaned up that installation.. really nice job.. when I came to pick up my truck they stepped me thru the blue tooth pairing with my phone and showed me how to work the unit.. minor quibble.. had to figure out how to set the clock myself.. really good job and I'd recommend them to others.. read more

Owners are involved in day to day operations which inevitably leads to an excellent experience overall! I wanted a Bluetooth/handsfree deck for my Jeep. I had tried a few over the counter external Bluetooth devices that plugged directly into the stereos audio jack but they just didn't work very well. I live in Reno and first got a price quote from audioexpress since they are close by. I work in Carson though and decided to have Unique Sounds price it as well. The price through Unique Sounds was slightly better but what really decided it for me was dealing with an owner directly. The owners, Mitch and his brother are really stand up guys and do what they say. They stand behind everything they sell and install. They stayed late the evening I had my install scheduled to make sure everything turned out just perfect. When I went to pick up the Jeep I didn't have a usb to iPhone cord with me that you need to sync things up. Rather than trying to sell me one the owner tossed me one and said thanks for doing business with us.
