We used a company that has been around since 1968 doing everything for a home from remodeling to building. Our roof was done by them about 7-8 years ago. During that time we had issues of leakage in the sunroom and living room, shingles came off from light wind and last night was the worst. All other neighbors didn't have that used another company. Based on this experience, I DO NOT recommend using Weather Tek in Dunellen, NJ. I hope they don't have any involvement in the new complex being built near the Dunellen train station. I recently purchased a house in West Philly that had been rehabbed. The window in the back on the first level, in the little add-on room, started leaking water through the wall and splashing on the inside of the window. I couldn't tell if it was from a fault rook or fault siding installation, since both are fairy new. I called Artur because they work with both roofing and siding, and because I really liked the video on their website. I also noted that they were the only roofer that I noted on Angieslist that performed jobs for less than $500. Sometimes I know a job is a small one, and I'd like to pay accordingly. Artur came out the morning we had scheduled, even calling me to say that he was hitting some traffic and would be 15 minutes late. I really appreciate communication! He got up on his ladder and started to examine things. He told me what he was seeing. He deliberated re-doing some work, and then explained to me that with such a small roof, the job could still become several hundred dollars if he did that. He suggested that he simply make a strong seal between the new roof and the new siding, which wouldn't cost as much and could easily take care of the problem. Gotta love a guy who is looking out for me in the short term and developing a relationship for the long term.

Our contract was for THE ENTIRE ROOF on that side of the barn! The old panels were very long and hard to get. The ones he used were shorter and were easy to acquire. The leak on the other side of the roof was supposed to be fixed. It is still leaking. Period. Our contract was also to fix that leak. That roof is made of METAL. NOT plywood. I KNOW where it's leaking and told him right from the start. It is still leaking and the contract has a one year guarantee, but instead of just coming back to fix the issue, he told me it would be better to replace the entire roof on that side. Well, of course it would! But, that's not in my budget, which is why I asked them to simply fix the one leak. The other issue I stated was the lack of clean up. The contract says that "All roofing debris will be cleaned up daily and removed from the property by contractor". The work was done on October 19th and nothing was cleaned up until October 22nd. The roofing material was picked up, but the nails were everywhere! And I am STILL picking up nails and metal shards in May!! He made it sound as if he had cleaned up and used a magnet to check for nails. That is completely false. Yes, I was happy with the one side of the roof. It looks nice and isn't leaking. The problem is that we were in a drought and I had no idea that the other roof was still leaking on the other side. I should not have paid in full until we had a good downpour.

Their guy came out to measure the window in a day or two and said that they'd have to order the glass and it'd arrive in three weeks. I gave them a deposit. The glass indeed arrived in 3 weeks and and a few days later my broken window was fixed. I do recommend Basking Ridge Glass because they did a good job, but I wonder if there is a company that can fix a broken window faster.

Very disappointed in Tom Adams. Their salesman was not knowledgeable and sold us the wrong…read moreproducts. He acted like he knew what he was talking about. We asked a lot of questions and really thought we were getting a good product. We were promised our flooring would be durable and a hard grade floor. The flooring they sold was horrible from day one. It fell apart shortly after we got it. They blamed it on wear and on my dogs. They even sent an inspector to the house. The inspector blamed my dogs and wear over time. The floor fell apart in the first 6 months. We didn't even have our dogs then, and it fell apart in areas we didn't walk on! Plus, it was their inspector which we felt was totally in favor of Tom Adams and biased. The report came back that my dogs and wear were the cause of this. Totally preposterous! We must have replace hundreds of planks over the years. It couldn't be wear, especially since the planks weren't the same as the ones that were originally installed. We were told it was going to be a very durable wood floor, good for dogs, foot traffic, etc, and not soft grade. We got the total opposite! We can't resurface them or stain them, they would totally fall apart. Tom Adams kept replacing planks and the same thing continued to happen. Tom Adams would not take responsibility or would the manufacturer. They stopped using the manufacturer knowing these problems with Chesapeake flooring. We just kept getting the run around. The warranty meant nothing, because no one would make good on it or take responsibility. We even showed Tom Adams the bad reviews regarding the company's floors. The reviews stated that the same thing was happening to others. They had knowledge that these were horrible wood floors. We would have been better off with LVP or manufactured wood. The flooring that was in our house originally was there for 25 years with out a scratch and had plenty of wear. They were just older and thinner and we wanted a thicker plank that was more modern. Had we known what we were getting or dealing with we never would have gotten new flooring. After all the calling and replacing 70 or more planks every 6 months, Tom Adams still would not replace the floor that cost thousands of dollars. To the consumer, research floors before you buy and make sure that you use a company that is knowledgeable and that the salesman they hire know all about the flooring they are selling. Read reviews on the floors and carpets. We're so disappointed with our experience with Tom Adams. We now have floors that Tom Adams will not make good on, and are falling apart. They said, we could replace them at cost. Seriously! We paid thousands of dollars and shouldn't have to replace them in 8 years. Not to mention this has been on going since 6 months after they were installed.They look horrible and we're stuck with splintering wood floors with filler that comes out. Not the quality we paid for at all! Do your research and use another company. We would advise everyone to not use Tom Adams in the future.
