First being that the sales team should DEFINITELY keep a physical color sample wheel for all of their appointments. It was difficult to choose a color when looking at them on a screen rather than seeing it in person. This created a temporary issue which was ultimately resolved but was an unnecessary delay. Next there are certain materials besides the siding which need to be touched on a little more, for example, the aluminum strip along my chimney would've looked nicer if it matched with the siding rather than it being white. Its a huge contrast that sticks out to me. More attention to detail on certain material colors would've been nice. All in all, the outcome is nice. There are just some things that I wish were different about my initial experience. A very polite and friendly man came to my door on Sunday afternoon. The fact that this company thinks it is ok to bother me on a weekend, on fathers day specifically. I take that as rudeness and disrespect from the company. I have to say no tell a smiling face who isn't selling anything no they never are they just wanna do an assessment... I have to tell them no when no is never accepted. So I have to be assertive with a stranger during an unexpected visit on my day off or get peer pressured into a sales pitch. That is an unpleasant tactic and I believe it should be punished. I will never use Home Genius services for that reason alone and I hope you dont either. Upon discovering a manufacturers defect in our siding that was put up in 2021, I contacted Chris…read more(owner). He stopped here that day to see the siding. He explained he had it happen to 2 other houses during covid... but not as bad as mine. The other homeowners probably saw this sooner than I did. Long story short, Chris contacted the company that made the siding.... followed up every step if the way, including ordering the siding once it was approved as warranty work, and scheduling the repairs. As soon as the siding arrived, Chris put me on the schedule the following Monday (EVEN THOUGH HE WAS GOING TO BE AWAY ON VACATION!!!). His emloyees showed up at 8 am Monday, worked all day, returned Tuesday and completed the job by lunch time. Edit to say: Chris just reached out via text and said someone will call back…read more ... We hired CJ Scotti LLC in early July to replace some melted siding. The workers were friendly and quick and they did a great job with that and so we went ahead and asked them to fix a larger problem with a leaky roof. Partway through the job, CJ himself came over and recommended that we raise up part of a roof, held up by a post on our front porch that he thought had settled down into the ground over the years. I asked how this would affect the curb appeal and he said "you won't even know we were there." The price was $2000 more than we had been verbally quoted by the foreman, and unfortunately nails left around the job caused my neighbors to have a popped tire. Chris was incredibly rude to our neighbor, he backhandedly accused her of trying to scam them, but he eventually agreed to pay for one of 2 replaced tires, and they not received a check from them. Furthermore, I had to go all around and pick up nails and shards of metal after they left to prevent further damage to my or my neighbor's cars tires. Raising the porch roof really opened a can of worms. There are gaps now between where the ceiling and siding should have met, new pieces of wood left unpainted and instead of screwing the wood pieces together tight, they left a gap and filled it in with caulk to hide the gaps. Finally, after about 3 weeks we noticed a board under our newly repaired roof had popped up, exposing a new gap in the roof big enough for rain and small critters to get into. I've called and left 3 messages for Chris and have not heard back, and am getting pretty scared that I won't hear back from them again to at minimum repair the hole in my roof. I'm including photos of the work.

Sean came out within 45 minutes of me calling. I was dealing with an urgent repair from a wind storm with heavy rain forecasted the following evening. Sean assured me it would be fixed the next morning. Price was reasonable considering it was 6:30 pm and an emergency. They could have really charged me anything and I would have had to pay it. The next morning their worker (Ralph I believe) arrived at 7:30 am and made the repair. They sent me text messages the entire time along with video and pictures to show the repair they made. The company owner stopped by and I was able to meet him. I was in the process of obtaining bids to replace my driveway. The owner also has a parking lot paving company. He told me he does not work on driveways but helped me go through my bids and show me what potential issues I could encounter and referred me to a top notch driveway paving company that did an excellent job!
