However one thing that sets him apart and made us decide to hire him is that he is honest, not pushy and has a no-frill approach. He didn't try to upsell anything. In fact he offered quality shingles without charging extra $$. His crew worked efficiently and did the clean-up very well. They installed the roof in one day. The whole process only took less than 2 weeks, from receiving the quote until we have our new beautiful roof installed. All in all we are very happy with the outcome and will gladly recommend him to anybody who asks for roofing company.

The stain color for the front and back porch was wrong, but I blame Sherwin Williams for not matching it correctly. Jesus came back out a week later and re-stained both porches with the original stain we used before. They did a great job on the painting, and we appreciated that he made the porches right, even after I had already paid him. He and his team were courteous and worked efficiently. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a professional paint job at a reasonable price.

In addition, waterlines were moved, existing vent line moved, and new lighting was installed. The project was discussed with us in great detail by Trey Green & his son, Colby Green. Everything was laid out in black and white. Colby did a fantastic job of designing the new kitchen as appliances were moved and a completely different look was portrayed. Colby made several changes on the drawings and really did a wonderful job of giving us the kitchen of our dreams. Each and every trade that was utilized was exceptional. The trades included, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical contractors as well as tile installers, cabinet installers, fabricators, painters, and demolition team. The cabinet selection was extensive and the suppliers of countertops and tile were very good. Prior to demolition, the entire kitchen area was enclosed in a protective barrier to keep dust and debris from going into adjoining rooms. The hardwood floors adjoining the kitchen area were covered with construction paper and tarps. We were well informed as to when each and every aspect of the remodel would take place. There were no surprises or hidden costs. Each and every item was outlined before the work began and all of our concerns were addressed. This is our third new home that we had built. Although this house was only 12 years old, we wanted something that was kitchen friendly and attractive. We have had several contractors perform work for us over the years but not one could compare to Triangle Cabinets & Renovations. My main complaint, the sales person promised the crews would be clean and put tarps down to catch 100% of the debris, and we wouldn't even be able to tell they'd been here. Now we're four months past the install and we are still picking up bits of shingle, tar paper, plastic, and most egregiously, ROOFING NAILS in the yard nearly every SINGLE time we do yard work. In the first two weeks we picked up over a hundred nails from the yard and DRIVEWAY (come on, now!). We seriously found two more yesterday and two more today. It's NEVER ENDING. With the sales guy's suggestion we had them put in wide mouth gutter drains to help with the constant gutter clogging problems -- so what do they do? First they installed them wrong (oversized drains with standard drain holes does no good), so I printed out and handed the project manager installation instructions from the manufacturer. They came back out to redo it, but contrary to those instructions they used a ton of caulk, and also put caulk on every joint. Guess what gutter debris does when it hits a caulk. We also had them do some siding repair and had to be extremely specific about what we wanted them to do vs asking "replace anything that's rotting" which I would expect to be a reasonable request. I expected SO much more from a family company this old and established. Sadly, NOT recommended.

I say "crew" BUT, these guys were true Craftsman and I mean Craftsman. The Team, Steve, Jacob, Ian, and Bill worked together like a fine tuned machine. A look and a nod in the place of words. WOW. Their personalities made it actually nice to have them around and working on my home. If you have a question, they stop what their doing, follow you, and listen intently with a true response. They even took extra care to help me and be certain my wood blinds would fit the new windows. Extra trim required, Not a problem. I look at these windows and completed installation with pleasing amazement. I'm not kidding, everything looks and operates beautifully. For a guy that's hard to please, I couldn't be happier. Also, their pricing is more than competitive and their products are top rated when you do the investigation. I addition, the painted commented that the woodwork was done and nailed the way it's supposed to be done unlike other work he has seen. Hats off to Todd and his team. First I would like to say that overall I am pleased with the new door and window side pieces and…read moreglad that we replaced our old patio door that had water damage. I also feel that the guys who did the install behaved professionally, were friendly, worked hard and deserved the tip that they received. We originally went to Window Works in Cary before the holiday hoping to have our patio door replaced quickly. We met with Jeff and asked him to show us options for Anderson products to replace our patio door and side panels. Since they had a busy schedule we returned at the beginning of January to place our order and pay the 50% deposit. We were told that our order would probably there in about 2 weeks but it would likely be about 6 weeks before the install. When paying and signing the contract I scribbled on a few notes that Jeff reviewed. I discussed with him that (I assume like most people) we had an issue in the past of not having work done professionally or needing to have others clean up afterwards and I wanted to be sure there was a clear agreement between us. The work is completed now and overall we are pleased. However there were some issues that we are not so pleased with about the final results. I will list them and try to post pictures to clarify and let you decide if you would be pleased. 1. Upon final inspection before the installers left, I noticed that the grills don't match the door and side pieces. When I asked them if that was typical they stated they didn't think they had ever seen that before and they were certain it was never an issue with Anderson doors. They let me know the product I have is Therma-Tru.On viewing the contract I noticed that it says Anderson Windows and has that Anderson logo but under details it also mentions Therma-Tru Fiberglass which when ordering I thought was the type of Anderson door since that was the only brand we discussed. My mistake for not having that clarified but there is no way I would have knowingly ordered a "no-name" brand that I never heard of before. 2. So the Therma-Tru door looks nice and is fine but certainly I can't leave it with grills that don't match so that was a big concern for me. Jeff then told us that the door needs to be painted and within a certain time period in order to not void the warranty. Weather strip and hardware removed and all 6 sides painted order to keep the warranty on the door according to the manufacturer!(I had asked Jeff prior to ordering if painting the door was included and he did tell me that it wasn't but he also said the door would be fiberglass so I wouldn't have the same issues I had with our painted wooden door but I could paint it another color if I wanted.) If I had known about this I would have at the very least schedule painters to be there the day after the install. 3.They added quarter-round molding all the way across under the 2 side pieces and the door. I have never seen a piece like that under a door opening and think it looks odd. (This also needs to be painted) 4. Threshold has several pieces in various colors and to me it doesn't look great that way and one part is raw wood and needs to be painted. 5. There are "black" pieces used for threshold and under side pieces. I think it is an odd color to use with such light colors on the home but I think it looks fine for the door threshold but really strange and ugly under side sections. It looks like they are thresholds to walk on up to the windows. (Even worse that pieces shows inside and due to the material will need to be treated differently for painting ) 6. Lots of nail holes showing that will need to be filled 7.The flashing was showing under the door and it looked awful. When I told the installers that I really couldn't accept that they found a nice solution and fixed it. So that part turned out nicely. 8. They didn't clean the door or glass. NOT a huge deal for me in this case but I certainly feel that it should have been cleaned. If you are ordering windows or doors I'd highly suggest that you write CLEAN All on the contract. (BTW, on our first visit we did let Jeff know that one of our next projects was going to be replacing all of the old windows in our home.) 9. We sent Jeff pictures and invited him to stop by which he did. He just kept talking about how great he thought it looked and didn't seem to care about our opinions. 10. Another HUGE issue is that the following day I found out that I can't have any blinds or curtains installed on the door for privacy!!! Um, I sure could have used that info prior to ordering- thanks:( Therma-tru states that can void the warranty and that the solution would be to replace the new glass pieces and purchase new glass with the blinds inside! We would have for sure paid to have blinds inside if we had known of this issue. Even if I wanted to replace the new glass I still wouldn't be able to hang the custom made valances I had made!

He walked us through his showroom and we were able to make choices based on our needs. With our old house, fitting on new windows so that they are straight, work with the aesthetic, and are installed PROPERLY is not a task I wanted to leave in the hands of just any old contractor. Window Works did a fantastic job.

I called around and got 3 quotes and found Window Depot to be the best in regards to quality and price. They arrived on time and left my home cleaner than when they arrived. They have very energy efficient windows which qualified for the energy tax credit. Installation went well and changed from a screened porch to a sunroom in a couple of days. One window arrived broken and they fixed it as quickly as possible. Has a great warranty as well. Dogs like the dog door in the new door too. All employees were pleasant to work with. He had to coordinate with the roof/gutter jobs and the rain, and he did. Then we had them replace a wooden gate. (1) The owner/salesman that handled each major transaction was no-pressure, and extremely knowledgable about windows, roofs and infrastructure. He explained our options and we picked. (2) Most importantly, the workers were highly skilled craftsmen. We had to wait months, but the one time we didn't [the first wooden gate built by someone else], we had to pay to have it torn out and rebuilt properly. (3) They communicate promptly and frequently with us. This is rare, we have found. (4) The craftsmen are all polite and neat. (5) Further, we decided to replace the old wooden soffetts with Hardyboard and wanted the joists tied to the rafters while everything was exposed. This turned out to be a non-standard project, which they had to figure out on the fly. They did, which revealed to us that they are well supervised and have, on staff, a super-skilled carpenter: another rarity. (6) We just reviewed the electric bill. This house is generally among the most energy efficient according to Duke Energy. The new windows are a significant part of this. I saw this first hand on a sunny day. With the sun beating down on a south-facing window, I observed, upon opening it, that the heat portion (infrared) of the sunlight was almost completely blocked by the new windows. Once opened, I could feel a blast of heat from the direct sunlight on my face that was absent when the window was closed. This works in both directions - keeping the heat in during the winter and out during the long hot summer. We decided early on for house upgrades, that we would do it right, or not do it at all. We plan to live here until we go to the Happy Hunting Ground. We are extremely pleased with the materials and workmanship, and recommend My Guys without reservation.

He took the measurements and explained the process from the point of sale to completion of installation. He walked us through the ProVia product warranty. We did our homework and got two more quotes, but Kelly was the clear winner in pricing and the fact that they are the only 'Platinum' ProVia dealer in the Triangle. Best of all? No franchise pricing games like the other two estimates. Their quote was transparent and actually more affordable than the 'big name' companies. If you only call one company, do yourself a favor and make sure its City Mirror and Glass. (not to be confused with City Glass and Mirror) Granted, City Mirror and Glass may not have the biggest showroom in the area but their service is top notch. I tend to be OCD when I'm considering making a purchase of considerable expense so I actually spent several weeks visiting all the top rated companies and showrooms in the greater Raleigh area interviewing employees and requesting quotes. Prior to my recent retirement I spent several decades working in every conceivable arena of home renovation market so I had the advantage of being familiar with county inspections, warranties, construction permits, state and county codes etc., I already knew what factors and options should be considered when buying shower glass, from the different types of glass, to the various water spot prevention systems being offered. I had each company come to my house, take measurements, explain what they could or could not provide and submit a formal estimate. Each company was given the same requirements as to what I wanted from the hardware finish to the desired height of the glass. I also maintained a detailed spreadsheet during my research so I could perform an apples to apples comparison between companies, their offering, prices and what they could or could not provide per my initial request. Fact, several of them bent the truth when explaining why their products or services were better than what other companies offered. Two of the companies interviewed said, due to the custom construction and layout of our shower "no shower glass company" could install glass the way I wanted." Four of them said they could provide "most" of what I wanted but the custom elements would be at an additional expense. Ramone at City Mirror and Glass was the only company that said they could provide all elements of my shower design without ever implying there was anything unusual about the layout Even more surprising, the price estimate I received from City Mirror and Glass was easily one of the better estimates I received and a bargain considering I got everything exactly the way I wanted. We have a custom designed Neo angle shower and were forewarned by "other vendors" to understand that Neo angle showers tend to leak around the door. As it turned out, I had nothing to worry about. Mike and Ce'sar (sp) like all the other employees as City Mirror and Glass were professionals. They took great care and time making infinite adjustments to all the panels and door clearances. We've now taken well over a dozen showers and are happy to report not a single drop of water has escaped our glass enclosure. Operating with honesty and integrity my wife and I were thoroughly impressed with the service provided by City Mirror and Glass. Highly recommend.

I was building a new construction and our builder's glass shower contractors installed my shower door on the wrong side of the shower. This caused a huge issue because the shower door (opens outward) was right next to the master bedroom door (opens INTO the bathroom). I was stressed that the builder and his contractors didn't have immediate recommendations on how to fix the issue - they stated that since it was a frameless shower, the weight of the shower door had to be anchored to a wall and couldn't be supported on the other side of the shower on the 1/2 tile wall per original design. I spent hours on Pinterest and other sites trying to see how others would solve this issue. I found City Mirror & Glass on Yelp and spoke to Nora (front staff). She said to email pictures to Ramon and he would call me back. After he understood what the issue was, Ramon sent me a picture / example of a shower that he did that would solve the issue. Wow, all the stress immediately went away after talking with Ramon. Ramon even came on-site to do measurements in order to provide a detailed quote. He also let me know what other parts of the shower would need to be replaced, including exact number of tiles and the shower curb...which I hadn't considered! When I got the quote, it was very reasonable. Ramon also had a tile contact who I could hire separately, and offered to manage the timing for both if I hired both of them to do the work. In the end, our builder agreed to fix the shower issue with his original contractors, so I did not need to hire City Class & Mirror (this time). However, if I ever have any shower issues in the future, I would definitely hire Ramon. His expertise, honesty, and fair pricing was extremely appreciated.
