This park has a everything for everyone of all ages. From a park to tennis courts and basketball courts. Handball court and volleyball courts. Even a workout spot oh i forgot to mention that they have a dog park also It's very clean and friendly. The staff is present and the people who are here are nice as well. Every device is well kept and in working condition. My son ran around and loved every minute of it. He did not want to leave. They have vending machines for snacks and sodas. I dot know if the concession was open because I did not check. Parking is plenty.

Windmill Park is located in Coconut Creek just north of Atlantic on Lyons Rd. This park has something for everyone, basketball, tennis, playground, sand volleyball and a dog park. The tennis courts are lighted and are 1st come 1st served unless there is a tournament. There was no one playing tennis during my visit on a Thursday afternoon. There is a wide, paved waking path around the entire park with plenty of benches and water fountains. The hours are daily sunrise to sunset although the dog park hours are 8 a.m. to sunset as there are no lights in the dog park. There is a section of the dog park for large dogs and another area for small dogs. I observed many dogs at the park. There is an annual fee of $35 for residents and $70 nonresidents. There is plenty of parking and there are 2 EV charging stations that were in use during my visit.

I used to visit this part while taking my son to the elementary school behind the park. They have done a lit of improvements to the park in the years since. The park is very well maintained and offers a lot of activities for visitors. From a volleyball sand court, to a handball court, outdoor exercise equipments, a dogs park, and a community center. It also has parking on both end of the park, separated by a big lake. The only complaint I have is that the trail around the lake does not go fully around the lake based on my walk. One half of the lake appear to be part of a residential neighborhood. Therefore to fully go around the lake, you have to walk into the neighborhood streets and loose sight of the lake. I guess the house were there before the park and there was nothing the could have done! Overall, this is great park, that offers a lit to its visitors.

The Coconut Creek Dog Park at windmill park is such a beautiful dog park I just wish I would see more dogs here but even alone with Barkley we always manage to have a good time! I remember this dog park when it was one picnic table... it's come a long way and when the people come with their dogs the people are very nice and the dogs are wonderful!

This is a great dog park. Membership only. All dogs are required to show proof of vaccines. Always clean. Nice people and great dogs. Our dog loves socializing here

This friendly off-leash dog park is fully fenced and includes a separate area for smaller and larger pets with a shade pavilion. There is water available for the dogs but you may want to bring a bowl just in case. Since my first visit, they've added more obstacles and play areas for both smaller and larger breeds but could use a little more revamping for the large dog area in order to make it a little more exciting. All in all, there's plenty of space for any breed to enjoy and if you walk around on-leash you could even enjoy a nice view of the lake from the deck adjacent to the dog park.

Waiting for the squirrel to come down from the tree. No luck...

A second dog park, Wag Dog Park recently opened in Oakland Park besides Richard E. Giusti Heart Parcours. Bark Park is divided into two sections: one for smaller dogs and another for larger dogs. This division is a great feature to ensure safety for dogs of different sizes and strengths. All of the agility equipment was recently upgraded and there are plenty of benches for owners to sit and watch their dogs, as well as tree shaded areas to relax, especially important during the hot Florida afternoons. The park is also equipped with water stations, dog waste bags, and trash cans, so it's easy to clean up after your pet and stay hydrated during your visit. One thing that stood out to me and that I appreciated is that the grounds are regularly maintained, and there's minimal litter or debris. Oakland Park's commitment to their dog families is evident in the care they take in their dog parks which provide a welcome space for pups to exercise and pet pawrents to socially connect.

I went with my senior rescued dog M-F at 7:30 for 10+ years as I dropped my sons off to school but after a few situations with irresponsible owners (after work crowd,) I felt it wasn't worth the aggravation AND the vet bills!! I decided to give it another chance last week and this morning was 4th successful dog park morning excursion. After 4 good days for a freshman dog park puppy, I decided to give it a thumbs up . He's only 6 months old but a large breed and the current science says to wait until closer to age 2 for large breed males to get neutered so that can present a few issues with OG alpha males but the morning owners are VERY mindful, attentive and responsible and were very welcoming to me and my puppy. I'm not ready to go with both dogs yet as one is a 13 y/o female schipperke/border collie and belongs with the small dogs but hopefully in the near future I'll feel confident enough to bring both.
