This review is not for an actual tow; it's for the souvenir shop and tour of the yard. The 15 going south has been closed all day in Nevada due to a fatal accident, so we decided to hang around Hurricane to wait for it to clear up. We stopped in and purchased a bunch of merchandise. The girls working let us know we could also do a tour! Yaaay!! After signing a waiver, we spent about 15 minutes taking photos and chatting up one of the girls. She was super friendly and patient. My husband and I would sincerely like to thank Johnathan, who got us out of a really crappy situation over the weekend. We were staying in a campsite in the middle of nowhere near Virgin, UT over the weekend. Our car had a computer malfunction after dying and jump starting in a non-gps area (some anti-theft thing). Johnathan picked us up from Virgin and brought his tow truck all the way up a really rough dirt path cliff. He ended up not even having to use it, because somehow he fixed our car problem when he got there! He was originally going to drive us all the way to a St. George Honda dealership, which was so nice of him but luckily we made it home safe the same day. Winder Towing for the Win! Leaving from Las Vegas our vehicle broke down just before Mesquite, NV. About 60 miles from Hurricane NV. We called triple aaa who connected us with Winder Towing. Our ETA was 3 hours but within 20/30 mins we got a call from Winder Towing letting us know the driver was on his way! Within 45/50 mins he arrived and got straight to loading. We were loaded and ready to head back to Vegas within 10 mins of his arrival. Very professional, truck was super clean as we had a total of 4 people so every seat was taken. I highly recommend Winder Towing for anyone who may be traveling from NV/UT or in the Zion area. read more

We had a fantastic experience with Winder towing. Our car get stuck in the snow in a fairly remote region on Zion. This had never happened to us before, and it was the start to what could have been a very stressful day. After hitching a ride back to town, we called Winder. Matt picked us up within 5 minutes, drove us back to our car (45 minutes away), extracted our vehicle, and drove with us until we were back on dry pavement to make sure everything would be ok. Matt runs a YouTube channel documenting his rescues, so he actually turned the experience into a bit of a fun adventure by filming clips of the extraction. Matt was fun to get to know and put us at ease throughout the experience. His prices are also reasonable, and he kindly gave us a discount after we helped him with his filming. Matt uses a somewhat unconventional approach and rescued our vehicle using just his large 4wd yellow truck and a custom towing rig -- no tow truck required. Per Matt, this allows him to work more quickly and keep costs down for customers. It worked great, and Matt is clearly an expert at his craft. Thanks so much Matt for your help. read more

On the way to Wire Mesa, my F-150 gave a low tire pressure warning right before turning off the pavement. The local Chevron in Apple Valley said the closest service was back in Hurricane. It was a Sunday afternoon and the guys at the bike shop said all the tire places were closed. Since we were on vacation we decided to call AAA instead of putting on the spare ourselves. Winder Towing showed up in a mini-van and quickly got the tire changed. The guy was friendly (sorry I didn't get his name). I highly recommend Winder! PS- AAA roadside assistance took 45 minutes to notify Winder. If you have AAA, you might see if Winder can accept AAA calls directly and you will get helped a lot faster! read more

They charged me $350 to tow my car home (30 miles) which seemed like a lot. The only other option was to tow it to their lot and the storage charges would have eaten up the value of the car before I could have gotten it out of their lot. Even following a relatively minor breakdown or accident you are screwed. If we weren't poor we might have had AAA or insurance I suppose. The driver was pleasant though. read more

The owner of the company made arrangements to get the Napa store to open after closing to get and part and then let me use his tools to fix my van. He is living proof that good people still exist. after a very very long day driving from page, az to st. george for a drs appt, we were driving back home to page. my truck made a loud noise while pulling out onto the main st in hurricane. got coffee at maverick only to go back to the truck to find water underneath. couldn't find a towing company to help us out until we got hooked up with AAA and she got us in the queue for winder towing to help us out. i'm sure the driver was busy as we had to wait about an hour in over 100 degree heat. thank goodness we had shade. the winder truck shows up and this delightful, smiling Matt shows up. very very chipper and a calming presence as he professionally took photos and hoisted the truck up on the towing ramp. he drove us to a local repair shop which was already closed for the day. we left the truck and Matt drove us down the street to a restaurant where we could hang out waiting for a rescue from friends back in page. i've checked the FB page and some YT videos, they're great! Matt is definitely a person one would want on their team. i wish i could find the words to describe my gratitude for this young mans performance on our behalf. read more
