I obtained three estimates, and ultimately chose Evolution. I did not regret this choice. Jeff Kieffer came out the day after I called and provided an estimate and a proposed plan, and the owner, Diego Martinez, visited my house twice, once to explain how a difficult room would be accessed and serviced, and the day the work began to answer any final questions and give final directions to the installation team. The process was smooth and efficient: * The team arrived on time, were extremely courteous, and Diego, the owner, showed up and took the time to explain everything clearly one more time. * They handled the installation with care, keeping the work area clean throughout the day. No mess left behind--they even vacuumed up and wiped down areas they worked in. * The crew was knowledgeable, answered all my questions patiently, and made sure the new unit was perfectly sized for our home (no shortcuts or upselling) * They tested everything thoroughly before leaving, walked me through the operation of the new thermostat (Ecobee Premium), maintenance tips, and warranty details. It's only been a short time since the install, but the difference in comfort is night and day. Exceptional financing was offered, and the value of this project was perfect for my budget I also gained a new closet by moving the unit up to the attic! If you're in the Orange County area and need a new AC/heater system, I can't recommend this team highly enough. For context, during this period we had a newborn and significant personal obligations. When the visit occurred, the noise did not happen at that moment and no technician evaluation or adjustment was performed as a result. I later recorded the noise when it occurred and shared video evidence. Despite this, no diagnostic visit was offered. My review reflects both the unresolved issue and how it was ultimately handled. After posting this review, the business responded by disputing timelines and attributing the issue to unrelated work, but did not offer to inspect or resolve the ongoing airflow/pressure noise, despite video evidence. The attic cellulose work referenced was recommended by their team and performed by a contractor they referred. I had an air conditioning unit installed by Evolution Air in 2021. Since installation, the unit has intermittently made a loud "farting" or bubbling noise. I reported this issue within the first year. A technician came out, but unfortunately the noise did not occur during the visit, so nothing was adjusted or fixed. The problem has continued since then. After researching the issue myself, I found multiple discussions on Reddit indicating this is a known and common problem related to airflow or pressure adjustment, and that it is typically an easy fix for an experienced technician. Despite this, the issue remains unresolved years later. Overall, I'm disappointed that a known, recurring issue reported early on was not properly addressed, and that I've had to rely on online forums to understand what should have been a straightforward adjustment. ALFRED BIRNHAUPL (AC leak repair) - Fixed pipe leak from AC and completed comprehensive assessment of our dysfunctional zoning system. DOMENICK ALONGE (project manager) - Reviewed findings from Alfred, provided detailed indication of issues and resolution options with several quotes. Here's why our experience has been superior to previous companies: All three specialists were not only punctual, friendly, and courteous, but they took their time to evaluate our issues in CLEAR layman terms corroborated by photos, and showing us exactly where the problems were in person. He saw me struggling to dig a hole for my plant and volitionally offered to help me. He took the extra time to dig the hole for me, exemplifying his genuine kindness and generosity! Similarly, my kids were running amuck and screaming and shouting while I attempted to maintain a conversation with ALFRED. He was very understanding and continued to engage in conversation, appearing unbothered by the chaos with a pleasant disposition. Lastly, DOMENICK was appointed on the day of our son's birthday. He related to us interpersonally and even helped assemble my son's new Radio Flyer bike! I told him that Sean also helped me garden and we laughed about how Friends & Family is a "one-stop shop." My air conditioner went out years ago and they changed it out. At the time they also wanted to do my furnace I told them no which my furnace was still good for another couple years and then they came back changed a part on it saving me a little money but the. It went out so I had to shell up the big bucks for it. The value here I do think is better than other places but I wish they would work on the upsell a little bit because times are tough and we don't need that but I do trust this company for things I do need.

Jesus did the free cinsultation to address our problem. He did an excellent job representing JMartin throughout the process. He took the time to clearly explain the differences between the various systems and helped us understand why certain options made more sense for our needs. What stood out most was that we never felt oversold. He was honest about what we needed now, what could wait until later, and even what we should avoid doing and why. His attention to detail and knowledge of the products and design process reflected the high level of service JMartin aims to provide. He also identified a concern that other vendors missed, which gave us additional confidence in his expertise and in proceeding with JMartin. He was able to secure a price lock for a project we plan to do later in the year, ensuring we won't be affected by the upcoming price increase. Shay completed our first scheduled maintenance within the promised timeframe and was both informative and knowledgeable during the visit. He communicated clearly, answered questions thoroughly, and demonstrated technical understanding. His professionalism and efficiency reflected positively on the company. Michael and Frankie performed the scope of work. They removed and replaced all of our air ducts, opened up the intake grill, and installed chicken wire in the outdoor furnace. From start to finish, they were professional, respectful, and incredibly thorough. They arrived within the promised timeframe, wore boots and protected our floors, and completely cleared out the attic before designing a much more efficient airflow duct system. Everything was neatly suspended instead of left on the attic floor, and they even replaced all the vents. What really stood out was their attitude and communication. Michael and Frankie took the time to explain everything clearly and patiently answered all of our questions without ever making us feel like we were bothering them. They were always friendly, helpful, and easy to talk to. When the job was finished, they cleaned everything up perfectly and even hauled away all the old ducting bagged up, leaving absolutely no trash behind. That level of care and respect for our home was truly appreciated. I highly recommend JMartin Indoor Air Quality, LLC, and especially the Michael & Frankie team. About a month ago, I called to order replacement filters and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience with a representative named Maria. Not only was her communication unprofessional and frustrating, but despite the fact that I had already paid for the filters, I was left waiting nearly 28 days without receiving them or getting proper assistance. The experience was so poor that I seriously considered taking my business elsewhere, despite having spent nearly $3,000 with this company. Thankfully, when I later spoke with Keisha, she completely turned the situation around. She was friendly, professional, and highly efficient--and after speaking with her, my filters arrived within just 2 days. She reminded me that the rest of the team is actually very strong and customer-focused. Because of the excellent product and the other great team members, I'm giving 3 stars. However, the missing 2 stars are entirely due to the poor customer service experience I had with Maria. I hope management addresses this, because one negative employee should not overshadow an otherwise good company.

However, our last two experiences with this service provider didn't fair very well. But everyone is entitled to another chance, and as stated we did have an excellent relationship for a number of years. I was ready and somewhat reserved scheduling again, but called in and booked an appointment for a heating/air conditioning tuneup. Enter 19 year old Landon MacGill, Service Technician for Service Champions, a motivated young man with a terrific smile. Totally disarmed, I welcomed his explanation of what Service Champions would be accomplishing for me that day. While obtaining a system tuneup was appreciated, this review is for Landon and an applause for Service Champions in their decision to hire such a young employee...seeing the determination and possibilities this young man could bring to their service oriented business. Keep Landon on Service Champions, nurture his goal to be of benefit and service to others. Landon does your company proud and has won back the return of a customer who, without meeting this young man, would most probably not have been as welcoming with the arrival of another technician. While the offer of continued Reward Membership was nice, it isn't necessary. Meeting Landon was its own reward.

There have been a few decent techs but for the most part I have to say I am done using them and hearing them push things which don't need to be done and at their 300-500% mark-up. It was an eye opening experience when the tech recommended a water heater replacement over my request for a maintenance quote. Then gave me a quote of almost $3000 for swapping it out. I called later that day to cancel their maintenance plan - which they push out on everyone (Don't get it! ). The techs are friendly but some are just plain lazy. I initially called for a toilet line unclogging mind you. This didn't get done either. I called another plumbing company, who sent me someone who was able to unclog the line in 5mins of being upstairs. Showed me the tool and how I could avoid the issue in the future. No pushing, just reasonable cost service with no sales agenda.
