Stopped in to see the wares at Wind River this week while visiting Santa Fe, NM. What a store.... Maybe 30 feet wide, and spanning an entire city block. Easily one of the biggest stores in the city. Wind River carries both Navajo and Zuni jewelry, many varieties of beautiful turquoise and native jewelry. Add in Pueblo pottery, gold and diamond fine jewelry, collectible art, leather goods, vintage jewelry, and you have quite the store. One could easily spend hours in the store! The staff is pleasant and knowledgeable, attentive but not smothering. The manager, Abe, helped us today, and he was very helpful and gracious (even though we did not buy anything today! LOL). Recommend you stop by Wind River when you're in town, it's an adventure!

I needed a new cord for a very old bolo tie which used to belong to my grandfather. Wind River was very fast and efficient, and I can now wear this special tie for many years.

I was helped by Jammy and she gave me expert advice and great recommendations! She knows her stuff and I felt so welcomed by her. Got this beautiful indigenous-made necklace, and it's going to be a permanent part of my jewelry rotation. Thank you Miss Jammy :^D

Came here Monday of this week. They had 50% of their jewelry. So, we upgraded our wedding rings! The sales lady that helped us was super friendly and patient as we perused the vast selection of jewelry. I was happy we stopped here! A must if you're in the area! You'll find something for everyone on your list.

I've never considered myself a "shoe person" or someone that's about fashion or shopper, as such…read more That said, I like wearing outfits, feeling put together and not looking like everyone else. On my first trip to Santa Fe, arrived to our hotel on The Plaza after most everything had closed, which happens on roadtrips. So, we got some wine, walked around the empty streets and did some window shopping. When I saw these sandals with big bows on the toes, we had our first place on our list to explore the following day. And, that began a love affair. I now have at least one pair of shoes from here for every visit I've made back to Santa Fe, sometimes two. It's a small store, as with most boutiques. The prices aren't cheap but neither is the quality of their selection. I guess, now, I'm a shoe person... as far as the service that's been mentioned in other reviews, I've never had a problem and enjoyed a couple laughs with them on every visit. I strongly recommend signing up for their program. They're great with outreach on sales and new collections via text; plus, the points have no expiration.

Thirteen years ago, my husband and I flew out to Santa Fe with one of our goals being getting him a custom pair of boots from Back at the Ranch. We had a delightful experience with Ann and a lovely pair of boots arrived by mail several weeks later. He wore them nonstop for a decade, taking care to regularly get them resoled by expert cobblers. After ten years, they were done. So we flew back out to Santa Fe and went back to Ann after breakfast at Pasqual's because we're no fools. We had a nice experience designing the boots and fitting my husband. The price was higher, but what can you do? Many weeks later, the boots arrived at our home in Virginia. They were a travesty. The craftsmanship was a crime and the fit was ... well, he literally couldn't get his foot back in one of the boots. The boots were also two drastically different sizes - visible to the eye out of the box. I reached out to Ann and, long story slightly shorter, they tried to adjust the boots twice and eventually had to remake them. The whole process took months upon months. A year later, the boots needed be resoled so we sent in pictures and asked to start the process. Direct quote: "unfortunately we cannot re-sole those for you as the leather around the foot is so soft and worn it would rip at this point." One year. 1500$ custom boots. We expected better from a) our previous experience, b) the craftsmanship BATR builds its brand on, and c) a 1500 pair of boots after one measly year. Guess we're going to Austin this time.
