We were lucky to purchase a Karen Peck original painting. It's lovely. As soon as we walked into Unwined, my senses came alive with aroma recognition. This reminded of shops in the 70's like Spencer gifts and independent candle and gift shops of the day. A great aroma. The gift selection was varied and eclectic. We also purchased a terrific print of the historic St. Paul's United Methodist Church, a beautiful building. I would highly recommend visiting and supporting this great shop.

They had a fabulous collection of Soludos shoes. There were shoes with dogs, cats, lions, ice cream cones, and bling out the wazoo! I was in heaven! Then, I looked at the price tag and "Bam!", reality struck! As cute as they are, be prepared to pay a premium for these shoes. There were beautiful and unique pieces of clothing. Designer, Marc Jacobs and Markus Lupfer were my favorites. I took a picture of a fox dress for our own N. Virginia director, Gretchen Fox. So, you can see this is truly a specialty store. I have owned Vionic, Sofft, Ecco, New Balance, Asics, etc. and every pair I own gives me calluses, is too tight, or make my feet hurt. I have gotten orthotics in the past too. I received a coupon in the mail so decided to check them out. Upon arrival, I was acknowledged and greeted by an associate and he said to let him know if I needed assistance. Unfortunately, owning comfort shoes typically means you sacrifice style. The selection is more suitable for mature or conservative clientele. The associate informed me they will carry more stylish shoes in the fall. I may return, but am not hopeful I will find anything stylish and comfortable given my past history with shoes in general.

They must have been burnt so many times that they have every safe guard set to protect themselves. The young lady working the day I went to pick up my items was very to the point. I didn't sell any of my items in 3 months which was fine (18 out of 20 items were clothing items new with tags). I was in there for about an hour an a half looking for my unsold items after the consignment period ended. I found 19 out of 20. I gave up on the last item. I was still planning to try to sell another group/type of items. However, after going to retrieve my unsold items, and feeling unvalued as a consignee, I have decided not to sell there again.
