WinCo is a good store if you want to shop at one place, as it's prices are low for many, many things . . . but not everything. I'm a stickler for checking prices and I can beat their prices on many things, especially when I check the sales flyers, and I still have to hit other stores for certain items not carried here. The produce is not impressive and I avoid it now. Additionally, the place is huge and there is too much concrete for me and my bad back/leg to negotiate very often. I was hoping to really like the store and use it for most of my shopping. Oh, well . . . read more

A lead by the name of Josh and I lead by the name of Mike people are standing in line great big lines while the two of them are standing around with their fingers up their ass literally doing nothing while people are asking them to open lines old man Otis is one person and yet they expect him to do it all they get an attitude towards customers especially Mike they both turn around and walked up the stairs in the door to where they didn't have to deal with it it is unprofessional and to think you gave Josh back a lead position it is sad and pathetic read more

This store has gone downhill fast. Wait times at the checkout can be 30+ minutes during weekdays, can't imagine the weekends. I've seen so many people just leave their carts of food and walkout that they must spend more on employees putting food back then paying cashier's. Be wary of what you buy, it may have been sitting out for quite a while. Too bad, I will not return after 3 different experiences like above. read more

The older lady with gray hair, named Sue, at the self-checkout makes sexual comments about women wearing bras and mens penis's showing in their shorts. If you need help scanning something, she rubs against you on purpose; it's very weird. read more

Apparently the manager here thinks the best use of employees time and the best way to retain customers is to have his employees sit and count how many items are in someone's cart at self checkout and have them chew them out if there are even a single item over 15. When the self checkout stands ARE COMPLETELY EMPTY. I would understand if I had a full cart and took 20 minutes to get through - I had two small bags of groceries and got done in 5 minutes. 22 small items (cans and veggies) are too much when the checkout is empty. Nah. Won't bother with this place anymore. I don't take well to being told off for a ridiculous reason and I'm not eating 20 mines of my time in regular checkout when the self is empty. read more

Best prices in town. Selection can be hit or miss. (No oyster sauce?!) I find the produce a little weak. Seems like everything goes bad in just a couple days. Love the bulk items! I can get whatever I need without having to waste anything! I'm looking forward to getting some freshly made cashew butter. They don't take credit cards-so keep that in mind. Take your time, lines can be long read more

WinCo has reached a new low in quality of service. It's so tempting to go there, as their prices rock. And, I am used to surly cashiers and stockers who are not helpful, bits the price you pay for cheap food. But today I was laughed at and yelled at by two produce stockers. I couldn't find the green peppers. Yes, they were right in front of me. Chalk it down to a 14 hour, stressful work day I guess that I didn't see them. But when I couldn't find them, one of the stockers kept yelling at me from about 29 feet away, saying"it's right in front of your face, how do you not see them?" Then another stocker came out, and they BOTH laughed at me. Ok, life is hard enough without that. When I told them I didn't like being laughed at, I just made a stupid mistake, one actually got aggressive and said "look lady,I don't know what you're trying to do, but I don't want any of this.". Um, what I was trying to do was find a green pepper! What has happened to basic human decency? Please don't yell at and laugh at confused older women at stores who are just tired. read more

This store has always had something going on that makes you say I don't know why I shop here whether it's the fly's inside the doughnut display the alcohol cashier's harassing you even if you're just buying cigarettes and so on and so on now there's a new manager and apparently when that happened all of a sudden there's no more sales on the lunch meat at the deli and you can see it everywhere avocados 80cents not 65 it's like he went through the whole store and said raise everything $1 I bought one of there pre-made sandwiches the other day that used to be good and there was barely enough ham to go single layer across the top one row of pepperoni and one row of salami this new manager has no business be in retail they need to fire him. read more

Come on Wincos,really?.......16 checkout counters and only 3 open, forcing people to scan their own groceries, not cool, not cool at all!!!!

I like this store a lot as they have some products that other grocery box stores don't. Specifically they have their own guacamole that is soo very good. Honestly I'll make the trip here just for that. Otherwise it is well organized, making it easy to navigate. I'm not a huge fan of the self bagging requirement. You know, there is a lot of pressure trying to get done before the next customer needs that side! Parking is plentiful and there are more cart corrals than most other grocery stores. I'll keep coming back so long as they keep making guacamole in house. read more

Does NOT accept credit cards as stated on Yelp payments or google search. Just want people to be prepared unlike I was.

Winco is a great place to shop. sure. but, they don't accept visa. they do however accept checks. i have no checks on me. not in this day and age. with only my credit card on me and nothing else, it makes for buying groceries a very frustrating time. Fuck you Winco. Exclusive asshats read more

We have lived in Spokane nearly five years, and just realized we have not one, but 2 Winco locations! We love Winco, it's a long drive from our house (about 30 minutes) but well worth the drive. You can't beat their prices on almost anything, their meat selection is good, reasonably priced, and not nasty meat. For lunch meat I don't care for their roast beef, but their turkey is really good. They have a huge selection of bulk items, bulk coffee, tea, granola, nuts, dried veggies, candy, etc. Monstrous produce section. The downside for some? You have to bag your own groceries, but I think it's fun! Also, they are employee owned, so their employees are treated very well, good wages, etc. read more

Good bulk department great array of deli items and good meat prices are just the start of what makes this a good place to shop. Pack your own bags and can but bags to load. Good prices. Great selection. The cashiers are great, friendly. Close to home. My husband likes the fried chicken at the deli.

Winco Skim Milk tastes better than other Dairy's. Great Huckleberry Ice Cream. Mostly friendly employees. Store Does not accept bags from other stores. Winco bags are stiff and a little smaller than other store bags. Have yet to find any Apricots, low sugar or low fat products. Since we live nearby and require a lot of fresh produce in our diet .. vegetables and fruits .. winco foods is our lifeline. The selection of veggies and fruit is absolutely great and the prices are totally unbeatable. And then they would surprise you sometimes with the options that they have .. like we found papaya the other day .. and pomegranate as well .. (yeah all fresh) Apart from this for my needs they have a decent meat section, have found things which aren't that readily available elsewhere like minced chicken and minced lamb .. The deli section might not be as big as others which could be a concern for people but we hardly take anything from there .. Also, I think they cook better than their neighbours - walmart .. love their vinegar lemon chicken wings and cheat my diet sometimes with those. Breads are in plenty and the service is great as well. They stock kambucha which again works in their favour :) All in all, we have absolutely nothing to complain about .. as we make more than 6 trips per month .. it is like in case of a zombie attack .. that's our place :P PS - They only drawback I see is that they do not accept credit cards .. well I have seen a few people with a cart full of items returning just because of this. read more

Pretty much only shop at Winco and Costco because of the great prices But when you have to stand in line at winco longer than you shop it's a little frustrating. 10 to 15 carts deep in each line and only 3 check stands open. Hire more cashiers! read more

I have not worked for Winco. I applied for an assisant manager position recently in Spokane, WA I've been in retail management for thirty years, from warehouse to store manager. I asked a local store manager two years ago how I might apply for an assistant position. I was told that position was only open twice a year and at corporates' consideration. I feel the work shift is the reason you are looking for assistants. The reason I approached Winco is due to the fact that I've never worked for a company that made associates owners, an amazing concept that promotes loyalty both in associates and customers. In my opinion the assistant works to support the SM not work opposite shifts six months a year. read more

I absolutely love shopping at WinCo!! I can always count on them for the best prices and thanks to their volume, the freshest food as well! Some people may avoid because you do have to bag your own groceries, however I love feeling a part of an employee owned company. Similar to banking with a Credit Union, by putting in a little work, we all benefit tenfold. I've also experienced great service here. An example would be for all of my Pinterest recipes; WinCo almost always has the unique items (ethnic usually), that I need! When they don't, they have personally offered alternatives that take worked perfectly! Thank you WinCo for improving my family's quality of life by offering the best selection and pest prices possible! read more

Was just at winco about 11:30pm. checking out and I went to self check out even though I had a lot of items Because I had a budget and didn't know if I went over and didn't want to embarrass myself. The cashier at self checkout manually stopped my check out multiple times and watched me the whole time and even went into the security office and had the nerve to come up to me and say "did you scan that" when It was already payed for, stopped me in the middle of me putting my money in, made me wait and went into the security office again to check the cameras I'm guessing. I'm honestly really upset because I scanned everything in my cart and didn't deserve the treatment that I was given! You shouldn't judge people. Sham on you lady. Me or my family won't be back to winco I'm very offended and upset over it. read more

I was actually really surprised about how much I liked this place. Big, quite a few options, and some really esoteric stuff you wouldn't really expect. The most shocking thing to me was how good the seafood counter was. I was able to get some clams and some lobster tails there, and I was expecting to find neither. They had a remarkably good selection for a non-specialty store. I also found chicken livers there, which I was super happy to see. It was a nice little treat for my dad. My only real complaint is the fact that they don't take credit cards. But that's the price you have to pay for cheap good food. Final note: On the off-chance that the guy in front of me reads this (I had two items, you had a crapton, and you let me skip ahead of you in line), thank you again. I sincerely hope karma shines very brightly on you. read more

Winco has its pros and cons . Love the prices on many items. Best in Spokane. Absolutely can not stand the produce for most part. I do like their apples and the prices. Fresh seafood and meat selections average at best. They have great deals though on lunch items. Chef salads, chicken salads, all great. Some of their deli prices are $3 a lb less than others. Bread selections decent, wine selections bad! We will go here forever because of the prices, but are very selective on what we buy. Friendly staff and safe parking! read more

I don't know what happened with the other two folks, I've never really had any issues with employees. As a matter of fact, I have had some help from employees. I don't really care for Winco because I prefer healthier food options. However, for what this place is, it's good. They have a nice bulk area. Since it is a costco-like store, they only carry certain brands at great prices. This doesn't work so well for me because I am very picky about my food. This place is great for cleaners, house supplies, hygiene products like toothpaste, I think they carried Toms of Maine deodorant. My friend likes shopping here b/c you can get produce at bulk prices without the bulk. They basically carry the middle ground of everything. No fat free yogurt, but low fat, etc. Its a cheaper alternative to Safeway, but not as nice as membership places like Costco read more

Winco is one of those places where you can always find a deal and always find what you are looking for. Plus they hold us accountable by having us bag our groceries so hollah. The produce selection is awesome. The deli meats fresh cut are really delicious and are a great price! We buy stuff here for birthdays and summer bbqs because the pricing is so good. Also - they have awesome bulk items for sure and everything is very well organized. read more

Great place to shop if you don't have a lot of money, there's no need for any "rewards" program or anything else. The deli meats they have are decent, and their bulk food items are a MUST for saving money. I can get pastrami deli meat here for under $7 a pound easily (price does vary) where in other places it can be $10+ a pound! It DOES get really crowded really quick though, and it does not seem to matter what day it is so be prepared to deal with people. They have some surprising items which suits my needs at home just fine, I don't have to go to 3 different stores to make my curry when I shop here. My only complaint is the freezer section could afford to be a little larger and have more diversity. Other grocery stores of the same size easily have far more freezer foods and selection of the same brands than at Winco, they seem a little slow on getting new products as well. And the cookie/cracker aisle is strangely placed... read more

I shop here all the time and there are only a few cashiers that are nice...the only reason I keep coming back...the low prices (on SOME things). The majority of employess are rude or disgruntled in some way. Today AMBER was my cashier and I have NEVER had anyone be so rude to me. The "just smelled dog shit" look on her face was there the entire transaction. She did not say hello, never spoke to me at all. I bagged my groceries and stepped back to pay when she was done scanning---she took my CASH and shoved my change/receipt back at me. Not so much as thank you. As I finished loading my groceries I could feel her staring at me...a death stare actually....I looked at her and said "Problem"? What a wretch! If you hate your job that much maybe find another one. Just because you are a miserable person don't take it out on PAYING customers. I told a manager about AMBER being rude and awful....but I could tell he was just giving lip service as she said he would "check in" with AMBER about my experience. What a joke. Unbeatable prices on regular grocery items. Produce is not good quality (you get what you pay for) and their meat is awful and over priced. Great deals in the bulk section. Paper goods, detergent and personal care items are crazy expensive. If you are shopping and need assistance, good luck finding anyone to help you. If you shop here get ready to endure rude customers with unruly children and BEYOND rude employees with ZERO interest in good customer service. Again...I guess you get what you pay for. Hey WinCo...you can thank AMBER for this ONE STAR review. read more

I wish we had a store like this by me. The prices and selection is very good. Especially the meat Dept.

I'll give WinCo a four star rating because of their excellent prices and selection. If you are on a tight food budget and want excellent selection then Winco is for you. I carefully plan my meals in advance, make a list of items needed and shop once a month. I generally shop alone. I'm a senior citizen and find that when you check out it can be difficult for seniors with disabilities to bag their own groceries. You have to go back and forth between inputting your debit card information and bagging. The store is in my mind gigantic. I've shopped at WinCo on Nevada in Spokane, Washington many times. However, keep in mind that often other grocery stores do sometimes have leader items on sale that are equal to WinCo's regular prices or a little below them. It's generally not worth the fuel to go from store to store, with few exceptions. The meat department's prices on hamburger are about 40% lower than Rosauers. However Rosauers does offer excellent service to their customers. You have to watch the expiration dates at WinCo. read more

Great prices on 90% of their products. I don't buy personal items (shampoo etc) there but food items are priced pretty fairly. 99% of the time I'm really happy with their meat section and it's the only place I buy produce and bread. And even though I usually really like the fresh bagels from Safeway, winco's herb bagels are awesome. And as far as customer service is concerned, I've never had any employees treat me poorly. They have some pretty great people working there. read more

Big grocery store with killer deals. I love their bulk section! They have everything you could need for baking and cooking (which is good since I go through phases and don't want to buy items in large amounts). They do have a good selection in almost all depts and the prices are usually unbeatable. The only negative things I have to say are that the produce usually spoils a couple of days after purchasing it, and they don't accept credit cards (which I understand helps keep overall prices lower). They recently installed self checkout lanes which is convenient. read more

My family and I love winco as they are a great place to shop. They have great prices for their price however, how they handle certain situations I had gone in to buy a few things for dinner that night. we had accedentally left our garlic bread by the bagging. As soon as I realized it, I went back in and explained the situation with the regester number too. After see that' "no one could find it" (assuming someone stole it. though unlikely because I saw the empty bag...) So I went to get my receipt from my husband and went back in 15minutes later with the receipt and the cashier looked over it and over it assuming I was stealing something. He then said "do you just want to get another one" duh dude I came it because I didn't get bread loaf I paid for... So he told me to go get one and just check in with him before I left. I think that that is just overly thoughough especially since I was in there not but fifteen minutes ago. that is the worst customer service I have every recieved. It's not like we were asking for a while order... just a bread loaf. read more

If I could give them zero, I would. I have worn a Medic Alert bracelet for 11 years and have had a service dog for 9 years. Tonight, I was told "Someone told me to tell you, that at tonight, you cannot have 'the dog' in here ever again." He Didn't ask the 2 questions that he legally had a right to ask me; (1) is it a service dog and (2) what service? This is a small dog that did not bark, whine, nor bother others. I held it the entire time I was in the store. SHAME ON YOU WINCO for leaving this consistent customer, with a valid, long-term disability, being rejected and essentially Banned from your store. . . Next time, properly train your staff and send your appropriate managerial staff to do your bidding. read more

BEST grocery store experience EVER! Was shopping today for weekly groceries and supplies for annual garden canning event. I asked a person who was stocking oranges if she was working in the vegetable area and she replied, "Yes sir, I'm one of them." "How can I help you?" I explained that I was trying to buy veggies for canning, and if there were a way to buy veggies by the box. She then led me over to the area where the products were located, explained the system of how I could order them, HELPED me put the cucumbers that were in stock into bags and then got the form they use to order the products, took my information and then gave me an anticipated date they would be available. She explained what the price will be and then asked me if there was anything else they could help me with. I ordered the rest of the products we'll need and then checked out with the clerk wishing us a good day and "thanks for shopping with us today!" We checked the prices against some of the "Wholesalers" we buy from and found that EVERY product was priced lower than the so-called restaurant supply stores! EVERY ONE!!! 2 day delivery and much lower prices and to top it all off, several thank you's and 2 "how can we help you's?" Best grocery day in memory! Super helpful gal in produce and everybody else was on their game!!! Thank you! I'd give 'em six stars if it were possible! read more

I really have tried my best to be a loyal Winco customer but at this time I have to say I will not be returning to your store in the near future. I have recently turned to a vegetarian based diet and I have to say compared to any other store in the area your produce is, lets be nice and just say SUB par. There are a lot more people these days turning to a vegetarian diet so you may want to improve the quality of your produce, it just needs to be fresher. read more

In many ways I like WinCo. But one thing they lack in is customer service. The 2 we have locally have terrible customer service, esp to the disabled and elderly. They don't accommodate at all for the disabled and elderly. read more
